Ol’ Paul’s becoming St. Paul. Maybe he should let up a bit on Catholic history. I’m about to revise my history listening habits.

I already donate. Have listened for around 2 years? Paul, every podcast you present is excellent! I hope the administrative imbroglios stay out of your way. ✊ Paul, I just spent 90 min catching up on your podcasts (wrapping Xmas gifts) as well as listening to several multiple times as I am not an auditory learner. Your work is awesome. I will once again post about your awesome work on my FB page.

Please stop the rants. I listen to this podcast to learn something new on my morning walks. There are so many interesting topics to explore. Also, it would be interesting for you to debunk many of myths around Hank Williams - Was it severe spina bifida that led to his drug and alcohol abuse? I don’t know? Debunk please. Also, there are a ton of misconceptions around Eleanor Roosevelt and Mary Todd Lincoln. Please set the record straight. Lastly, you seem to be interested in Catholic history. Not too long ago I was in Lourdes, France. It would be interesting to understand why it was so important to the Pope at the time to make Lourdes, this little town in the Pyrenees a new pilgrimage site. Were there political reasons as well? Or was it just that Bernadette saw an apparition of Mary that explained to her the Immaculate Conception?

I listen to a lot of history podcasts and enjoy different podcasts for different reasons. This is great for when I am engaged in something that prevents me from being able to focus on something detailed and in-depth. That said, it prompts some curiosity to dig further sometimes. I find the criticisms about bias funny. The tone of his voice could never ever be mistaken for a rant! Hahaha! The host always makes reference to the reasoning, which is an excellent starting point for questions to research from history sources to understand what’s based in academic, instead of political, study.
