From guilt-tripping congregants into tithing during the COVID-19 pandemic to shaming members with bizarre, homophobic rhetoric, this episode breaks down real sermon clips from prominent pastors and ministries who use weaponized biblical language to control their congregations' finances. In this episode, we react to and unpack clips from: — Josh McPherson's viral "tithe shaming" sermon — Paul Chappell of Lancaster Baptist Church on tithing during COVID-19 — Jabin Chavez, a Las Vegas pastor with a surprisingly refreshing take on financial hardship — Kenneth Copeland's fear-based prosperity gospel messaging during the pandemic — Pastor Larry Smith and his "first fruits" tithing philosophy — Bruce Goddard (featured in HBO Max's "Let Us Prey" documentary) and his complaints about members leaving during COVID and not tithing when they sold their homes We explore how tithing, sacrificial giving, and "faithfulness" are often twisted into tools of manipulation — pressuring people already struggling to pay bills, feed their families, or survive a global pandemic into handing over money to the church. ✖️✖️✖️ CONNECT WITH THE SHOW: preacherboyspodcast.com https://www.youtube.com/@PreacherBoys https://www.facebook.com/preacherboysdoc/ https://twitter.com/preacherboysdoc https://www.instagram.com/preacherboyspod https://www.tiktok.com/@preacherboyspod To connect with a community that shares the Preacher Boys Podcast's mission to expose abuse in the IFB, join the OFFICIAL Preacher Boys Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1403898676438188/ ✖️✖️✖️ The content presented in this video is for informational and educational purposes only. Pastor Kenny Baldwin Vanished From the Pulpit in June. Congregation Told it Was Due to "Long Covid."

Support the Show: Patreon.com/PreacherBoys ✖️✖️✖️ The congregation at Crossroads Baptist Church in Bailey’s Crossroads, Virginia, was told their pastor was absent because he was fighting “a spiritual, mental, and physical battle. What they weren’t told is that their pastor, Kenny Baldwin, was actively being investigated by state police about sending nude images of himself to a 15-year-old boy. Here’s a quick timeline of the actual events behind Kenny Baldwin’s absence. May 2, 2026 — The York Criminal Investigation Unit began investigating Pastor Kenny Baldwin for sending explicit images to a minor. June 1, 2026 — Baldwin’s alleged victim told police that Baldwin had sent him two more explicit images of himself. June 7, 2026 — A video sermon from Pastor Kenny Baldwin, titled “Strength in Weakness,” was streamed for the Sunday evening service at Crossroads Baptist Church. This would be Baldwin’s last sermon at CBC. June 9, 2026 — Baldwin confessed to two individuals that he had sent nude images of himself to a minor. June 12, 2026 — Pennsylvania State Police in York County interviewed Pastor Kenny Baldwin. He confessed to sending the images. When asked how old his victim was, Kenny said, "probably 15" and added that he could forget that the boy was that young because he acted "so much older." June 21, 2026 — During a Sunday morning church service, Pastor Lou Baldwin explains Kenny Baldwin’s absence as being due to “mental, physical, and spiritual” battle, and the lingering effects of a prior COVID diagnosis. No mention of an investigation was made. It’s unclear whether the church leadership was aware of any investigation or Baldwin’s confession at this point, or whether they were simply parroting an excuse given to them by Pastor Kenny Baldwin. July 20, 2026 — Court documents and criminal complaints were filed by the Pennsylvania State Police. July 22, 2026: Baldwin was arraigned and released on $80,000 unsecured bail. July 23, 2026 — CBS 21 reached out to Crossroads Baptist Church for a statement. They said they had “no comment.” That timeline raises important questions—Did the Crossroads Baptist Church leadership know anything about the ongoing investigation into Pastor Kenny Baldwin before his arraignment? When Pastor Lou Baldwin addressed the church on June 21, 2026, was he aware of Kenny Baldwin’s interview with and confession to law enforcement nine days earlier? There are a few possibilities, and none would be particularly comfortable for the congregation to come to terms with. “Modest Is Hottest”: Creepy Tactics Used to Control and Shame Women

EVERYONE who signs up to my giveaway wins a FREE spicy toy or gift card for toys! https://www.bboutique.co/vibe/preacherboys-podcast#bbpartner ✖️✖️✖️ Support the Show: Patreon.com/PreacherBoys ✖️✖️✖️ In this episode of the Preacher Boys Podcast, Eric Skwarczynski breaks down the disturbing world of modesty culture, purity culture, and the way fundamentalist Christianity often uses clothing standards to control women and girls. From shocking youth conference sermons to the phrase “modest is hottest,” this episode examines how churches teach dress codes, shame, and gendered expectations in ways that can be harmful, manipulative, and deeply inconsistent. We also look at how Christian modesty teachings vary across denominations, why these standards are often cultural rather than biblical, and how messages about women’s clothing, purity, and sexuality can become tools of control inside church environments.
