From Corset to Crown

Carrie Lupoli

Most women aren't struggling because they lack discipline, knowledge, or willpower. They're struggling because no one ever told them about the corset. It shows up in how they eat and how they feel about their bodies. But it doesn't stop there. It's in the pressure to perform, to be perfect, to hold everyone else together while quietly coming apart. The corset is stitched together by the diet industry, the beauty industry, pharmaceutical companies, workplace culture, social media, and the impossible expectations placed on women to be everything to everyone. Every system profits when women believe they're a problem to be solved, and none of them were built to make you healthier. They were built to keep you confused and dependent. They lace you into a corset and then blame you for not breathing. You've been taught that exhaustion is normal, that shrinking is strength, and that peace, confidence, and freedom are waiting on the other side of finally fixing yourself. That's the trap. And you can't change what you can't see. From Corset to Crown is for women who are done being buried under pressure they never asked for. Each week, host Carrie Lupoli, behavioral transformation expert, Board Certified Nutritionist, bestselling author, and the woman they call the Crown Straightener, cuts through the noise with behavioral science, the real science of what your body needs, and the truth most people won't say out loud. Because the healthiest version of you has nothing to do with a meal plan. It has everything to do with knowing who you are, what you want, and why you want it. The crown was always there. It just needs straightening. Welcome to From Corset to Crown. New episodes every week.

You Don’t Need To Fix Your Body To Be Worthy

Sometimes the number on the scale keeps distracting you from what actually matters. For years, women have been taught to measure their health by weight, appearance, and perfection, but true health is about how you feel, how you show up, and whether you are taking care of yourself from a place of self-worth. In this episode, I sit down with Dr. Kellyann Petrucci, a board-certified naturopathic doctor, New York Times bestselling author, and weight-loss and anti-aging expert, for a conversation that goes far beyond food. We talk about aging, confidence, comparison, identity, and what it means to make health choices from the crown instead of the corset. We explore how the habits we build can either come from fear or from a genuine belief that we are worth caring for. The goal should never be about just losing weight. The goal has to be about becoming the healthiest, strongest, most aligned version of yourself. Conclusion Health is not about punishment or perfection. It’s about choosing habits that allow you to show up fully for your purpose, your family, and your future. The number on the scale doesn’t determine your value. The way you choose to care for yourself does. In This Episode: - The corset, the crown, and redefining self-worth - Why health is about more than weight loss - How Dr. Kellyann pursued her calling - Balancing success, aging, and the pressure women carry - Breaking free from comparison and the scale - Health as a vehicle for purpose and a meaningful life - Choosing self-worth over chasing perfection - Making informed choices in the wellness industry Join the BS Club: -https://www.disruptivenutrition.com/bsclub Pre-Order the Book, From Corset to Crown! -Get your copy of "From Corset to Crown" (and I'll also give you a ton of awesome bonuses to make the learning really stick) at: https://www.carrielupoli.com/corsettocrown From Corset to Crown Live Event in Nashville on October 2-4, 2026: -The ultimate girls' trip is on! Are You Living The Life Someone Else Chose For You?

What if the biggest thing standing between you and the life you want isn’t your body, your habits, or even your circumstances, but the story you keep telling yourself about who you are? In this episode, I’m having a conversation with my good friend Courtney Townley, keynote speaker and author of The Consistency Code. We’re pulling back the curtain on our upcoming From Corset to Crown event, but more importantly, we’re talking about the deeper work women have to do when they’re ready to stop outsourcing their identity and start leading themselves. We get into the stories that feel true simply because we’ve heard them for so long, the difference between doing something from the corset versus the crown, and why taking a risk can be the very thing that builds confidence, self-trust, and a more alive version of your life. Conclusion The stories we tell ourselves can become so familiar that we stop questioning them, but too often those statements are not facts. Your identity is not fixed. It is shaped by what you practice. Every time you choose self-leadership, take a risk, try again, or do something that scares you, you are practicing becoming someone new. In This Episode: - Why we are doing this: our shared perspective - Redefining health through identity, purpose, and self-leadership - The power of being in a room with women who are changing the conversation - Learning to lead yourself while still accepting support - The “truthiness” stories that keep women stuck - Why failing forward is part of becoming who you want to be - What Courtney plans to say at the event - Why taking off the corset is a daily choice - The Consistency Code and where to find Courtney Townley Join the BS Club: https://www.disruptivenutrition.com/bsclub Pre-Order the Book, From Corset to Crown! Stop Living For Approval And Start Choosing For Yourself

What if knowing what you want is actually an act of self-worth? As women, we’re often taught to look outside ourselves for the answers: what we should wear, how we should look, what we should buy, and even what we should want. In this episode, I’m having a very different kind of conversation with Rachel Moscaritolo and Amanda Watkins, the women behind Bespoke by A+R, about jewelry, entrepreneurship, empowerment, and what happens when you stop letting other people tell you what you want. Rather than starting with what is available in a traditional retail store, Rachel and Amanda begin by understanding the individual–her lifestyle, preferences, and what she actually wants. That idea connects directly to my From Corset to Crown message–moving away from pressure and approval and toward self-trust and knowing who you are. I also share the deeply personal story of losing my wedding rings in the ocean and the realization that came from it. Conclusion Losing my rings initially made me feel shame and guilt. But when I found them, I realized the rings weren’t truly lost. I just needed to know where to look. And I think so many women need that reminder. You are not lost. You don't need to earn your self-worth. Your value is already within you, and you only need to "find" it. In This Episode: - How two women turned an idea into a business - Why traditional jewelry shopping can feel stressful and intimidating - Starting with what you want instead of what you’re told to want - How social media and comparison influence our choices - The story behind Carrie’s lost wedding rings - Understanding value, trust, and the jewelry industry - Why the lost rings became a powerful lesson in self-worth - Building community and creating something that empowers women Join the BS Club: -https://www.disruptivenutrition.com/bsclub Pre-Order the Book, From Corset to Crown! The Cost Of Abandoning Yourself During Difficult Seasons

What happens when life changes direction and suddenly the things that once felt easy become impossible? A lot of women believe that when life gets stressful, overwhelming, or unpredictable, taking care of themselves has to go on pause. They wait for the storm to pass before they start showing up again. But life will always bring changing winds. The question isn’t whether you keep sailing–it’s whether you know how to adjust your sails when conditions change. In this episode, I’m sharing the exact framework I use with my private clients to help them continue caring for themselves through every season of life, from stormy waters to favorable winds, without abandoning who they are in the process. Conclusion There will be seasons in your life where there’s more space to grow and seasons for rebuilding, but there will be seasons where everything feels overwhelming. Just like when the wind shifts on a sailboat, you don’t panic or stop moving. You adjust your sails and continue forward. In This Episode: - Why life’s challenges are not a sign that something went wrong - Understand the three fundamentals of self-care - Navigating stormy waters: Preserve your energy - Navigating headwinds: Simplify and protect what matters most - Navigating steady waters: Build strength, habits, and resilience - Navigating favorable winds: Expand and create more impact Join the BS Club: -https://www.disruptivenutrition.com/bsclub Pre-Order Carrie’s Book, From Corset to Crown! -Get your copy of "From Corset to Crown" (and I'll also give you a ton of awesome bonuses to make the learning really stick) at: https://www.carrielupoli.com/corsettocrown Carrie’s From Corset to Crown Live Event in Nashville on October 2-4, 2026: -The ultimate girls' trip is on! Part 3: The One Thing: How to Straighten Your Crown

For so many women, the search for worth takes us outside of ourselves. We chase the perfect body, the perfect career, the perfect relationship, or the next achievement that will finally make us feel whole. But what if the crown you’re looking for has been there all along? In this episode, I’m discussing what it means to truly straighten your crown, break free from the invisible corset of expectations, and start making decisions from a place of self-trust, alignment, and love. I share stories about my daughter Grace, the parable of “diamonds on your own land," and the acorn-to-oak story to show how our identity is shaped by the stories we believe. When we stop trying to polish the corset and instead recognize the crown we were born with, we can begin making choices from alignment instead of approval. Conclusion The crown was never lost. It was simply buried beneath years of expectations, conditioning, and the pressure to prove that we are enough. Straightening your crown is about returning to the person you were before the world taught you that you needed to earn your worth. In This Episode: - Understanding the corset and how it shapes our beliefs - The diamonds you’re searching for are already within you - Changing the stories that keep you stuck - Choosing alignment over approval - The moment Grace learned she was worthy - A daily practice to straighten your crown - Returning to your true self Mentioned in the Episode: -The Story of You by Ian Morgan Cron: https://www.amazon.com/dp/006282581X Join the BS Club: -https://www.disruptivenutrition.com/bsclub Pre-Order Carrie’s Book, From Corset to Crown! Part 2: The One Thing You Need to Do Before You Say Yes to Anything

Are you constantly trying to prove your worth? Maybe it shows up as perfectionism, over-functioning, people-pleasing, or feeling like you have to sacrifice yourself to be a good mother, partner, or successful woman. The truth is, many of us have been wearing an invisible “corset” for years, one that tells us we need to achieve, perform, shrink, or change ourselves to deserve confidence and worth. In this episode, I dive deeper into what it means to move from the corset to the crown and why awareness alone isn’t enough to create lasting change. I introduce the “center,” the space between the corset and the crown, and teach my SNAP strategy. This simple framework helps you recognize when you’re making choices based on old conditioning and makes it easier to choose responses that align with the woman you’re becoming. Conclusion The crown was never something you had to earn. It was always there. The goal isn’t to become someone new. It’s to reconnect with who you already are beneath the pressure, expectations, and stories that have shaped you. In This Episode: - Introduction: From corset to crown - Why awareness alone doesn’t create freedom - Finding the center between the corset and the crown - How your brain reinforces the stories you believe - The "center" practice: using the S.N.A.P. strategy - The hidden power in the word “just” - Finding the freedom you’ve been searching for Join the BS Club: -https://www.disruptivenutrition.com/bsclub Pre-Order Carrie’s Book, From Corset to Crown! Part 1: The One Thing That Explains Why You're Always Exhausted

Have you ever felt like you're doing everything for everyone else, yet still feel you're not enough? In this episode, I'm doing a deep dive on the "corset" concept—that invisible conditioning that keeps so many women trapped in people-pleasing, perfectionism, and self-sacrifice, which leaves them perpetually drained. After years of helping women transform their health through nutrition and behavior change, I realized that food was usually the doorway to a much deeper issue. So today, I explain what I call the corset: the beliefs we've carried since childhood that tell us we have to earn our worth by looking a certain way, performing perfectly, putting everyone else first, and proving ourselves. I'll share personal stories, client experiences, and the framework that inspired my bestselling book, From Corset to Crown. This episode is the foundation of a three-part series that will help you recognize the conditioning that's been shaping your decisions, so you can begin making choices from your authentic self instead. Conclusion Freedom doesn't begin with another diet or another attempt to become more acceptable. It begins with recognizing flawed beliefs that have shaped your life for years. My challenge to you is simple: identify the first time your "corset" was put on you and how it influences your decisions today. In This Episode: - Introduction: the moment I learned I wasn’t enough - Why health struggles go deeper than food - What you can expect from the three-part series - Making choices from the corset vs. the crown - Pressure isn’t purpose: awareness is the first step to freedom Pre-Order Carrie’s Book, From Corset to Crown! -Get your copy of "From Corset to Crown" and a ton of awesome bonuses to make the learning really stick at: https://www.carrielupoli.com/corsettocrown Carrie’s From Corset to Crown Live Event in Nashville on October 2-4, 2026: -The ultimate girls' trip is on! Stop Setting Goals (Here's What to Do Instead)

Every January, millions of us set goals, and by the 17th, most of us have already quit. We've been told the problem is discipline. But what if the problem is having a goal in the first place? In this episode, I'm sharing the five real reasons I haven't set goals for myself for years. No weight goal, no revenue goal, no life milestone. This conversation actually started with my 21-year-old daughter, Grace, who told me she didn't know how to answer the question, "What's your goal?" As I listened to her, I realized I've felt the same way for years, even as an entrepreneur who's built multiple businesses. I'm walking you through the trap of outcome goals versus behaviors we can actually control, the arrival fallacy, and what I call your "blueprint" for personal growth. Conclusion Rather than asking yourself what you want to achieve, I encourage you to ask a much more powerful question: Who are you becoming? That simple shift will change how you approach your health, relationships, purpose, and life. In This Episode: - Reason #1: My faith - Reason #2: Goals limit what you believe is possible - Reason #3: Most goals are not in our control - Reason #4: The “arrival fallacy” - Reason #5: Unmeasurable desires - Building your blueprint for personal growth Mentioned in the Episode: -The Meaning of Your Life by Arthur Brooks: https://a.co/d/06e3E8Hm -Atomic Habits by James Clear: https://a.co/d/0bNGSVPi -Join Carrie Live Every Morning: https://www.instagram.com/carrie_lupoli/ -Join the BS Club: https://www.disruptivenutrition.com/bsclub Pre-Order Carrie’s Book, From Corset to Crown! About
