    Snake Handling is extremely dangerous!

Everyone who signs up to my giveaway with Bellesa Boutique wins something! https://www.bboutique.co/vibe/leavingeden-pod In this episode, Sadie teaches us about SNAKE HANDLING! The most INSANE and DANGEROUS Christian subculture. Snake Handling, surprisingly, has actual biblical justification behind it. However it is not widespread due to the extreme danger of handling venomous snakes. Churches that practice snake handling often have members die or suffer serious injury as a result. In this episode, we discuss Sadie's (as of yet unproven but highly promising) Hypothesis about the risk factors between growing up with religious trauma and experiencing domestic violence as an adult. Tim Rodrigues' Confession and Arrest, Jill Rodrigues Leaves Social Media

CW: This episode is about a domestic violence situation that includes discussion of multiple instances of physical and emotional abuse. Some of this discussion is graphic. Our thoughts are with Heidi, her family, and the Rodrigues children as well as anybody who has suffered intimate partner violence or child abuse under fundamentalism. Please do not mistake the tone of this video for us minimizing that in any way. What Timothy admitted to is a serious crime against his wife. In today's episode, we discuss the confession Tim Rodrigues made in a Facebook post, in which he admitted to violently abusing his wife, , Heidi, accused his father, David, of child abuse during his upbringing, and asked for forgiveness as he seeks to regain the trust of his wife and his family. This post received attention from friends and family members, most notably Heidi's family members who were understandably very angry at him for his abuse of their loved one, for his violation of her privacy in posting details publicly, and for his perceived motivations in publishing his confession, which they saw as highly manipulative. Following this public fallout, Jill Rodrigues announced her departure from social media. Sadie is a Certified Domestic Violence advocate in the State of Oregon.
