How to Stop Overthinking: 3 Steps to Take Back Control of Your Mind

Send us Fan Mail Are you constantly overthinking conversations, decisions, relationships, or everything that could go wrong? In this episode of The You Are More Podcast, Amy shares a simple three-step framework for breaking the cycle of overthinking and taking back control of your thoughts: Catch it. Challenge it. Change it. Just because a thought enters your mind doesn't mean it's true. But when you continually rehearse fear, anxiety, rejection, or worst-case scenarios, those thoughts can begin shaping your emotions, decisions, and ultimately your future. Amy walks you through how to identify the thoughts keeping you stuck, challenge the assumptions behind them, and replace them with God's truth. She also explains why changing your thinking isn't enough—you have to move. Sometimes one phone call, one conversation, or one small action step is enough to break the cycle and create new clarity. In this episode, you'll learn how to recognize negative thought patterns, challenge fear and worst-case thinking, replace anxious thoughts with Biblical truth, stop allowing feelings to dictate your future, speak God's Word over your circumstances, and use action to break out of overthinking. Remember this: Don't let a thought that isn't true determine a future that hasn't happened yet. Catch it. Challenge it. Change it. Move. Movement creates momentum. How to Build the Life You Actually Want

Send us Fan Mail What do you actually want your life to look like—and are your daily choices taking you there? In this episode of You Are More, Amy shares why clarity is one of the most powerful tools for creating the life you're called to live. Instead of allowing weeks, months, and years to pass while reacting to whatever life puts in front of you, it's time to get intentional about where you're going. Amy walks through how to start with the end in mind, write a clear vision, turn big dreams into measurable goals, and break those goals into small daily commitments you can actually keep. Because your daily habits determine your future. In this episode, you'll learn how to get clear about what you really want, stop living reactively, create measurable goals, use small daily habits to build confidence, train your mind to recognize opportunities aligned with your vision, and stack consistent wins that move you toward your future. Stepping Out in Fear: Trusting God Beyond Your Comfort Zone with David Knapp

Send us Fan Mail What happens when God calls you to leave a comfortable life before showing you exactly where He is leading? In this episode of You Are More, I sit down with David Knapp, creator and host of On the Pen, for an honest conversation about fear, faith, purpose, and trusting God with an uncertain outcome. David’s journey began after he was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and started taking Mounjaro. Wanting to understand the medication, he immersed himself in scientific literature, FDA documents, and emerging research about GLP-1 medications. When he realized few people were translating that complicated information into language patients could understand, he began sharing what he was learning. At the time, David was selling traffic signals and creating videos wherever he could—including inside his Ford Flex. Today, On the Pen is a top-rated podcast, and David has become one of the country’s leading independent voices and patient advocates in the GLP-1 space. But this conversation is about so much more than David’s professional success. We talk about the limiting belief that nearly kept him in a comfortable career, the moment he knew it was time to take a leap of faith, and how God used every part of his previous season to prepare him for what came next. David also shares what happened when he unexpectedly needed approximately $40,000 to close on a new studio—just as his largest podcast sponsor backed out. His wife and four children gathered around him to pray, and within 24 hours, every dollar they needed had been provided. This is a powerful reminder that experiencing fear does not mean we lack faith. Fear is an emotion, but cowardice is allowing fear to keep us from doing what God has asked us to do. Your fear may come with you, but it does not get to lead you. If you feel God calling you out of your comfort zone, this conversation will encourage you to remember His past faithfulness, pray bigger, take the next step, and trust Him with the outcome. In this episode, we discuss: • David’s journey from Type 2 diabetes to GLP-1 advocacy • How On the Pen became a trusted podcast and platform • Leaving a comfortable career to follow God’s calling • The difference between fear and cowardice • Why resistance is not always a sign to stop • Trusting God through financial and business uncertainty • The family prayer that preceded a $40,000 breakthrough • Teaching the next generation to pray big • Remembering God’s faithfulness when facing a new giant • Believing that God is truly who He says He is • Using influence and opportunity for Kingdom impact Connect With Us: Website: https://www.youaremore.com Join The 6AM Club Bible Study! Train Your Mind to Win: Don't Let Your Circumstances Define You

Send us Fan Mail Have you ever trained for something important? Whether it's running a marathon, preparing for a race, or learning a new skill, we all understand that success requires preparation. No one expects to show up on race day without training and perform at their best. But what if the area we neglect to train the most is the one that determines the direction of our entire life—our mind? In this episode of You Are More, I share why one of the greatest disciplines you can develop isn't physical—it's mental. If you don't intentionally train your mind, your circumstances will do it for you. Life will constantly hand you fear, disappointment, comparison, lack, and setbacks. The question is: will you allow those experiences to shape your identity, or will you choose to renew your mind with God's truth instead? Everything rises and falls on identity. The way you see yourself determines the way you interpret your circumstances. If you see yourself through the lens of fear, comparison, or victimhood, every challenge will reinforce those beliefs. But when you know whose you are—a child of God—you begin responding differently. Instead of seeing obstacles, you begin seeing opportunities. Instead of believing you're defeated, you remember that God is working all things together for your good. I also share practical ways I train my own mind every morning. It starts with gratitude, speaking God's promises over my life, and intentionally reminding myself of who I am before the world has a chance to tell me otherwise. Those daily habits don't just change your thoughts—they change the direction of your life. What you continually think about, you reinforce, and what you reinforce eventually becomes the lens through which you see everything. If you've been feeling discouraged, overwhelmed, or stuck in negative thinking, this episode is your reminder that you don't have to let your circumstances write your story. You can choose a different lens. You can train your mind for victory. Every day is an opportunity to renew your thinking, strengthen your faith, and step into the purpose God created you for. Movement Creates Clarity: Stop Waiting and Take the Next Step

Send us Fan Mail Have you ever found yourself waiting for the perfect moment to finally move forward? Maybe you've been waiting until you feel more confident, have more money, know exactly what to do, or can see the entire path ahead. The truth is, most of us spend far too much time waiting for certainty when God is simply asking us to take the next step. The clarity you're looking for often doesn't come before movement—it comes because of it. In this episode of You Are More, Amy challenges the idea that confidence comes first. After more than three decades in business and a lifetime of walking by faith, she's discovered that confidence isn't something you wait to feel before acting. It's something that's built through consistent action. Every time you choose courage over comfort, every time you honor a commitment to yourself, and every time you take one small step forward, your confidence begins to grow. Amy also explores one of the greatest obstacles to purpose: comfort. While comfort feels safe, it can quietly become a cage that keeps us from the very opportunities God has placed in front of us. Looking back at the Israelites, she reminds us how easy it is to romanticize what is familiar rather than stepping into the unknown where growth happens. Real transformation rarely occurs inside our comfort zones. It happens when we trust God enough to move before we have every answer. Throughout the episode, Amy shares practical encouragement for anyone feeling stuck. She explains that our future is not built by one dramatic leap but by hundreds of faithful "yeses." A phone call. An application. A workout. An invitation. A difficult conversation. These small acts of obedience compound over time and eventually create an entirely different life. The goal isn't perfection—it's consistency. If you've been waiting for the right time, this episode is your reminder that there may never be a perfect moment. God often reveals the path one step at a time. Your responsibility isn't to see the whole staircase—it's simply to take the next step. Because movement creates clarity, clarity creates opportunity, and opportunity opens doors you could never have imagined. Today is the perfect day to stop waiting and start moving. In This Episode Why movement creates clarityThe myth of waiting for perfect timingHow confidence is built through consistent actionWhy comfort can quietly become a cageThe danger of staying where life feels familiarHow one decision at a time shapes your futureWhy consistency beats motivationThe power of honoring commitments to yourselfHow to stop waiting and start walking by faithThree practical action steps to move into your next season Connect With Us: Website: https://www.youaremore.comJoin The 6AM Club Bible Study! The Thoughts That Quietly Control Your Life

Send us Fan Mail What sentence have you been repeating to yourself this week? Maybe you haven't even noticed it. But I promise you this: the conversations you're having with yourself are shaping far more than your mood. They're shaping your beliefs, your decisions, and ultimately the direction of your life. We often think it's one big decision that changes everything, but more often than not, it's the small thoughts we rehearse day after day that quietly determine where we're headed. The good news is this: if you don't like where your life is going, you don't necessarily need a different destination—you may simply need a different conversation. Throughout this episode, I want to help you identify the thoughts you've been repeating and ask one simple question: Are they producing faith, or are they producing fear? Because every thought is working. It's either moving you closer to the life God has for you or reinforcing the very things that are keeping you stuck. So many of us live beneath what God has called us to because we've accepted limiting beliefs as truth. Maybe you've been telling yourself you'll never get there. Maybe you've convinced yourself you aren't talented enough, experienced enough, or that your past has already determined your future. Friend, those aren't God's thoughts toward you. His Word is filled with promises that are stronger than every lie you've believed. The challenge isn't just recognizing the lie—it's replacing it with truth until that truth becomes your new identity. One of the simplest examples I share in this episode is changing one phrase. Instead of saying, "I have to," begin saying, "I get to." That one word changes your perspective. Gratitude begins replacing obligation. Hope replaces heaviness. It's amazing how one small shift in your thinking can completely change the way you experience your day. That's how transformation begins—one thought, one decision, one conversation at a time. I truly believe you are not stuck. You're not finished. You're not defined by your past or your current circumstances. God has created you for this moment, and He's placed something inside of you that this world needs. My prayer is that this episode helps you recognize the thoughts that have been quietly controlling your life and gives you the courage to replace them with God's truth. Because when your thoughts begin to change, your life will begin to follow. Remember—you are on this earth for more, and I'm cheering you on every step of the way.
