    311. Heather - Pt 2 of 2 Pts - One Woman's Escape from Her Nightmare

This is part two, the final part of a two-part story with Heather. This survivor's story comes with disclaimers having to do with heavy drug usage, narcissism, physical violence, and attempted murder. Heather has selflessly brought her story to us. It would be a mistake to think what happened to her was due to drug usage. Drugs do not cause abuse; they make abuse worse. And Heather knows all about this. You'll hear about her narcissistic parents, abusive boyfriends, and her abusive ex-husband. It is practically a miracle that she is still alive today. Heather somehow managed to find the good person she was always meant to be. She can thank herself and her son, Abe, for saving her life. Together, they kept her alive and today are both flourishing. Be sure to share the story with someone who needs to hear it. Follow the show: The School of Greatness Dr. Michael Gervais opens up about surviving a head-on car collision at 70 miles per hour and how decades of psychological training shaped his response in that split second. The high performance psychologist, who has spent 14 years inside NFL locker rooms and coached athletes through four Olympic Games, shares why he believes humans don't rise to moments but fall to the level of their training. He breaks down what he calls "the danger line," that messy emotional edge where growth actually happens, and explains why most people never practice getting there in their careers, relationships, or conversations with loved ones. Gervais also delivers a pointed warning about youth sports in America, revealing how untrained coaches are shaping the psychological development of children in a system where 99.95% won't achieve their athletic dreams. 307. Bill Mitchell - Interview on Stalking - Michele Locke's Instagram Live

This is an interview about stalking with Michele Locke. Michele is a Texas divorce lawyer, and she was formerly an Associate Judge in Texas. The interview was for an Instagram Live show she conducts every Friday evening (4pm Texas time). The subject of our interview was stalking, but we picked up on other areas related to domestic violence as well. Michele was interviewed on the WHEN DATING HURTS Podcast twice in 2025. I suggest you listen to those interviews when you have time. Those two interviews focus on divorce – especially divorce from an abusive marriage. Special thanks to Michele Locke for my interview with her. I am sure she will be back on with us very soon. 305. Nichole Schmidt - Pt 2 of 2 Pts - Gabby Petito's Mother

This is part two of my interview with Nichole Schmidt, the Mother of Gabby Petito. Most of you remember the Gabby Petito story as it unfolded on national news across this country. When the reports said this young woman, traveling in a van out west with her boyfriend, had not been heard from for days, I admit I thought he probably killed her. Unfortunately, my intuition was correct. I wanted to speak with Gabby's parents right away, but guessed it would never happen. But now it did. In two episodes, I speak with Gabby's mother, Nichole Schmidt, on the WHEN DATING HURTS podcast. QUICK NOTES: • You will hear us mention a documentary in our chat. It is the 2025 Gabby Petito documentary you can see on Netflix. It is worth your time. • Also, Gabby's parents were divorced when she was very young, but they stayed in close touch in an amicable fashion. Gabby's mother and father married others, and all four parents are involved in the Gabby Petito Foundation. The Gabby Petito Foundation is driving real change in the fight against domestic violence and missing persons. Inspired by Gabby's legacy, their mission is to take action on the front lines, partnering with organizations and equipping communities and first responders with the tools, training, and support they need to prevent and respond collectively to violence, and to protect those at risk.
