    I’ve got a new episode of the From the Fabricator podcast for everyone, and it’s got a bunch of strong takeaways.  First up, the 2015 Glass Industry MVP Jon Kimberlain of Dow joins me.  Jon is just a brilliant guy.  Smart as heck, extremely friendly, and always doing his best for his company and our industry.  It was fun to pick his brain on a few items, including the growth of unitizing and the moves he’d make to improve the industry.  Then we get the yearly visit from Nick St. Denis of KMR Research.     From the Fabricator S6 E2 - Mike Rapp (PDS IG) & Cam Reynolds (3 Form)

    2026’s 2nd episode of the From the Fabricator podcast is now live, and I’ve got a pair of guests who bring something new to the pod.  I lead off with Mike Rapp of PDS IG.  Mike and his family have been stalwarts in this industry for a while- so it was nice to get a deeper dive on their background and to learn about the innovations Mike & team are working on now.  Then I connect with Cam Reynolds of 3 Form.  In my efforts to bring some new faces to the forefront, Cam fits that bill.  Whip smart and very engaging- Cam provided a ton of insight on the decorative state and a big nugget on office rebuild tastes.  Hopefully, we see more of Cam active in our space.  Overall, two fun interviews.  Thank you very much for checking it out!!  Thank you to FHC Frameless Hardware Company for the support!     From the Fabricator! S6E1- Sarah Andreasen (Kawneer) Chris Scheiblein (LMCI-IUPAT)

    Time to kick the new year off with a new episode of the From the Fabricator podcast!  And since it’s a new year, I started with a couple of people new to me and maybe to all of you. I kick it off with Sarah Andreasen, Director of Commercial Excellence at Kawneer.  I had never spoken to Sarah before this; we had only exchanged a couple of messages to set it up, so I was going in cold.  Sarah was wonderful.  Brilliant and down to earth, and her insights from architects to glaziers to available technology.  We covered a wide range of stuff, and I think you’ll be impressed.  Just need to get her to BEC now!  Then I talked with Chris Scheiblein, Director, LMCI at IUPAT.     From the Fabricator! S5 FINALE- SOLO Episode- Troy Johnson- Apogee Architectural Metals

    Wrapping up the year with the annual SOLO podcast-- and my guest #200... Troy Johnson of Apogee Architectural Metals.  It is an incredible one.  Some may remember Troy when he blew the audience away at BEC a few years ago while running Harmon, so you’d know he’d be a great one to interview.  We covered a lot of subjects and broke news- and that news is significant.     From the Fabricator! S5E16- Joe Kaiser (Herzog Glass) Michael Duncan (Viwinco Window)

    From the Fabricator! S5E15- Seth Madole (Viracon) & Kevin Black (Flexijet)

    New episode of the “From the Fabricator” podcast is now up, and this was a learning edition for me.  First up, Seth Madole of Viracon.  Seth has been a key cog in the Viracon machine for years, and it was great to get his insight into successful business approaches and, of course, the supply chain, which falls under his responsibilities at Viracon.  Lots of good stuff from a first-class person.  Then I talked with Kevin Black of Flexijet. Kevin is also a fantastic person and talent, and I loved his take on attracting youth to our space —if more people did it, we could fill more holes.  Plus, Flexijet was a product I knew little about until recently (thanks to smarter guys than me, Ryan Shoemaker of Champagne Glass and Abdeali Karimjee of Precision Glass Industries), and I am fascinated by it.
