    251 Academics Make Great Entrepreneurs

    250 The DEI Consulting Boom Is Over. Now What?

    In this episode, Dr. Kemi names what has changed in the DEI market and why it may be time to look beyond one income stream. DEI consulting may have brought real opportunities after 2020, but she is clear that the market looks different now, and we do not have to build our next move around a path that may not feel stable or aligned.  She walks us through other ways to think about income, including CME work, writing, teaching, speaking, consulting, and medicine-adjacent ideas.     249 Let's Name the Grief

    Many women of color in academic medicine and public health know they want more control over their income. But what happens when creating more options for yourself also means admitting how painful it is that the institution may not pay, protect, or value you the way you expected?  In this episode, Kemi continues the conversation about agency over your paycheck and why wanting more money does not make you wrong. She also names the part people do not always say out loud: the grief.     247 The Pay Cut or Overwork Decision
