I was a tik tok watcher then apple podcast listener then I decided to spot you two Midwest white boys $5 a month to be able to listen earlier. I work in electoral politics and moved to the Midwest randomly and let’s just say this is my only escape 🙏🙏 my rock if u will.

I need to start by saying I condemn Hamas, all forms of political violence, and the three episode truthers but I strongly condone hummus, Clementine, and the return of the sound board. I just finished listening to the entire 350+ episode HITO backlog like a real non-parasocial friend. During my two-month binge of this Elkay EZS8WSLK compliant pod, Jeremy and Gage have changed my vocabulary, introduced me to very important people on the left, and taught me everything I know about geopolitics - it’s hard to believe they don’t have a PhD in it, they’re just that good. I have always been on the left - when I was six, I thought hospitals were run by the government like public schools despite the fact that my dad works in healthcare administration - but growing up in a very republican family in conservative rural Texas, I never had a real gauge on how progressive I really was. After moving to North Carolina (which is much more blue than you give us credit for, we’re just horribly gerrymandered) and meeting my DSA member soon-to-be fiancé, I have discovered that I am a true leftist. Soon after making this realization, I saw a HITO clip on TikTok and was immediately interested in hearing what else these quirked-up Midwest white boys have to say. HITO has been a great resource for me to learn more about progressive issues and policies and has affirmed my frustrations that MY Democrats are not doing nearly enough. I want to thank Jeremy and Gage for their great work on this pod and congratulate them on the success and growth they have achieved. I am proud to be infected with and spreading the HITO mind virus and look forward to this year’s Holiday pregame and HITO awards.
