    Monday, Oct 5 - Dave Does Not Care

    Connecticut has another reason to pat itself on the back, at least when it comes to safety. The state was recently ranked as the fifth-safest state in the entire country. Meanwhile, North Haven residents can forget about Amazon drones buzzing around the neighborhood for now. After plenty of discussion, the town has decided it will not be moving forward with Amazon’s drone delivery program. Phil Collins also opened up about a decades-long beef he had with Paul McCartney. Apparently, the whole thing started when the two were involved in the Queen’s Jubilee celebration at Buckingham Palace. Collins asked McCartney to sign something, and Paul apparently turned to his then-wife and said, “He’s a big Beatles fan, our little Phil.” Collins clearly did not appreciate being treated like some awestruck fanboy. The two eventually went their separate ways, and Collins recently told Piers Morgan about a phone call that finally helped patch things up. There’s also continued concern in Oregon over the so-called “door kick challenge,” where people kick in someone’s front door as part of a social media stunt. Because apparently we needed another stupid internet challenge. And speaking of TikTok stunts, a teenager in Florida was filming himself getting a haircut in the middle of a busy road last week when things went about as badly as you would expect. He was struck by a pickup truck and hospitalized in serious condition. Americans have also apparently decided that the most played-out Halloween costume is the “sexy [blank]” costume. Pirate costumes came in second, followed by Joker costumes. Finally, a Pennsylvania woman is facing charges after allegedly stealing a donation box from a veterinary clinic. Police say she grabbed the box and stuffed it underneath her coat. The box contained more than $400, so apparently even the pets aren’t safe from porch-pirate-style crime anymore.

    Friday, Oct 2 - Clap Alien Cheeks

    The boys chat with Tommy from the Burnout Nationals about one of the premier motorsports events in New York and what fans can expect from the big show. Lou gets excited after hearing that UFO whistleblower David Grusch apparently has more to say about alien entities right here on Planet Earth. Because apparently aliens weren't already enough of a problem. The boys also break down the new road safety laws that went into effect October 1 and what drivers need to know. TikToker Joel is going viral after conducting a pretty interesting experiment. He spent eight hours delivering for Walmart and made $100. He then took that $100 and went shopping at Walmart to see just how much food and groceries he could actually buy with the money he earned. Did you know you could once order dynamite through the Sears catalog? A 1902 edition actually advertised dynamite as a solution for removing tree stumps, calling it "excellent." Nothing says convenient home improvement quite like having explosives delivered to your front door. A semi-truck hauling 90 barrels of bourbon whiskey slammed into a guardrail and crashed on the West Virginia Turnpike Monday night. Meanwhile, a Philly cheesesteak restaurant in Pennsylvania is looking for a man who allegedly launched a cheesesteak directly into an employee's face before taking off. And finally, a Texas man discovered a bag containing more than $128,000 sitting on top of an ATM. Instead of making a very different life decision, he turned the entire haul over to authorities and returned every penny.

    Thursday, Oct 1 - I Get Paid by the Word

    The boys welcome Danbury Mayor Roberto Alves into the studio for another edition of “Ask the Mayor,” where listeners get the chance to throw their questions at the mayor and find out what’s really going on around the Hat City. Billy Joel is opening up about a brain condition he’s been diagnosed with, but the legendary singer says he’s not overly concerned about it. Meanwhile, a new study has people debating one of the great household questions: should guests take their shoes off when they come into your house? About 70% of Americans say they prefer shoes to come off, and 81% believe it makes their home feel cleaner. But fewer than half of those people actually ask their guests to remove their shoes. So where do you stand? Are you a shoes-off household, or do you let people track whatever they stepped in right through the front door? The Farmers’ Almanac is also giving us a rough idea of when different parts of the country can expect to see their first snow of the season. The Rockies may have already gotten a taste, while parts of the Upper Midwest could see snow this month. The Great Lakes and Northwest are looking at November, and the Mid-Atlantic, including us here in the Northeast, could be waiting until early December. Meanwhile, some parts of the South and Gulf Coast may not see snow at all. A TikToker is also going viral after comparing a trip to Great Clips to “haircut roulette.” She went in asking for what she described as a simple little trim and claims the result was anything but simple. And finally, the Yankees are rolling through Boston. For the second straight night, New York put up nine runs against the Red Sox, taking another game in their best-of-three Wild Card series.

    Wednesday, Sep 30 - Yankees Win!

    Lou and Dave are still riding high after the Yankees knocked out the Red Sox in the Wild Card, much to the annoyance of the Boston fans listening. A video is also going viral showing someone dropping a giant block of ice down a 137-meter-deep hole in Antarctica. And apparently, when the ice hits the bottom, it makes some pretty awesome laser-like sounds. Meanwhile, TikTok is mourning the supposed death of the Hot Pockets crisping sleeve. One guy blamed the “economic crisis” for the company getting rid of it, and the internet immediately joined in on the outrage. There’s just one problem: the crisping sleeve has apparently been gone for years. So everyone is mourning something they already lost a long time ago. In a much more serious case of disappearing stuff, more than $10 million worth of cocaine was being held at a court in Fiji as evidence for a long-running drug-trafficking trial. Now, some of the cocaine is missing, while the rest was apparently replaced with FLOUR. Yes, somebody apparently looked at a massive pile of evidence and thought, “Nobody will notice if we swap this for baking supplies.” And finally, a Virginia man was caught driving 50 miles per hour over the speed limit. His excuse? He was trying to get to McDonald’s before breakfast ended. Apparently, the Egg McMuffin was worth risking his life, his license, and a conversation with a police officer.

    Tuesday, Sep 29 - Exit Stage Left

    Ethan makes a brief appearance for one segment, but it is basically just long enough for him to complain about the guy in front of him at Mobil who was taking forever buying lottery tickets. Ethan gets his grievance off his chest and then promptly disappears again. Lou and Dave celebrate TV Talk Tuesday by bringing their latest TV and movie recommendations to the table. The boys break down what they've been watching, including Lanterns, Tires Season 3, Lioness, Brothers and MobLand. As always, there are opinions, arguments and probably at least one recommendation that someone else immediately hates. There is a growing population of Brown Recluse spiders being reported in Wallingford, Connecticut, which is definitely not the kind of population growth anyone in Connecticut is looking for. We get into what is happening and why these spiders are getting attention. A shark was spotted swimming through a residential neighborhood in New Jersey after the weekend's powerful nor'easter caused significant flooding. Yes, an actual shark was cruising through a flooded street, because apparently regular storm damage wasn't weird enough. A viral review of Meta's new $3.99 Instagram Plus subscription is drawing attention to one particularly creepy feature. The service can reportedly tell users when someone has rewatched their Instagram Stories. Meta, however, says the feature isn't designed to directly identify or “out” individual people for repeatedly watching a Story. And Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick is cleaning out the gear closet in a very big way. Nielsen is putting a massive collection of his guitars and other music equipment up for auction through Julien's on October 24th. So if you've ever wanted to own a piece of Cheap Trick history, this could be your chance—assuming your definition of “I can afford that” is considerably different from mine.

    Monday, Sep 28 - The Raiders are 3-0

    Lou is riding high this morning because the Raiders are 3-0 after a huge win over the New Orleans Saints. He is already looking ahead to this week’s matchup with the Chiefs, and Lou says if the Raiders can pull off another win against Kansas City, he is going to become “the most obnoxious human on Planet Earth.” So basically, everyone around Lou has been warned. Dave is back with another batch of health code violations from local restaurants and delis. Somehow, there is always another disgusting restaurant story waiting to be uncovered. A substitute teacher in Missouri lost her job after someone discovered she had an OnlyFans account. She says the situation didn’t stop there, claiming she was also banned from volunteering and participating as a parent at her child’s school. A woman in California had a terrifying encounter while paddleboarding when she was attacked by a sea lion. She managed to fight the animal off, but not before suffering multiple bite wounds to her arms, hands and feet. A high school football coach in North Carolina has been suspended while the school investigates allegations of hazing involving players. One of the players reportedly lost part of his finger in connection with the incident. Meanwhile, a 44-year-old man in Oklahoma apparently decided clothing was optional during a scooter ride through a neighborhood. He was spotted cruising around completely naked, because apparently that is one way to make sure the neighbors remember you. And Nirvana was honored at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards with the Video Vanguard Award. Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear accepted the honor on stage after a montage celebrating the band’s iconic music videos and their lasting impact.

    Friday, Sep 25 - The Trash of Mt. Everest

    The guys discover that Mount Everest is apparently not the pristine, untouched landscape they always imagined. It turns out there is an absolutely massive amount of trash sitting on the mountain, meaning even one of the most remote places on Earth has somehow become a dumping ground. Finster checks in live from Michigan as the I-95 “50 Series” continues. With I-95 officially turning 50 on December 24, 2026, the boys are reconnecting with former personalities and digging into the station’s history, old stories and behind-the-scenes memories. A United Airlines flight got extremely uncomfortable when a man allegedly refused to stop pleasuring himself during a flight from Rochester, New York. We’ll get into what happened and how the airline and other passengers dealt with the situation. A former 7-Eleven in the Seattle area has received a very strange makeover. It has been transformed into an “INCONVENIENCE STORE,” which is apparently an art experience dedicated to making everyday life more annoying. Think intentionally tangled USB cords and other objects designed to test your patience. Meanwhile, eBay sellers have apparently decided that fused Goldfish cracker clusters are luxury collectibles. Some of these bizarre cracker clumps are being listed for thousands of dollars, with one alleged “ultra-rare” six-cracker cluster carrying an absolutely ridiculous $25,000 asking price. Somewhere, a kid is eating a handful of Goldfish while unknowingly destroying a fortune. Check out Nicolas Cage as John Madden in the trailer for the upcoming movie Madden. The film also stars Christian Bale as Al Davis, along with Kathryn Hahn, Sienna Miller, John Mulaney and Shane Gillis. It hits select theaters November 11 and arrives on Prime Video November 18. Lou is not a fan of Nicolas Cage being involved, and he is making sure everyone knows about it. George Strait is featured in Wrangler’s latest ad, and somehow the guy still looks pretty damn good. During halftime of Thursday Night Football in Green Bay, the Packers honored past Super Bowl winners, including some of the original champions from Super Bowl I. Al Michaels joked that he was so old, he was actually there. The White Sox also clinched a playoff spot after suffering through three consecutive 100-loss seasons. Munetaka Murakami had an absolutely insane interview following the big win.

    (50 Series) - Finster

    The boys reconnect with former I-95 personality Finster as the “50 Series” continues, giving the show another chance to dig into the station’s past and reconnect with some familiar voices. The 50 Series is all about bringing former I-95 personalities back to the show for conversations about their time at the station, old stories, memorable characters and whatever else comes up when you put a bunch of former radio people back on the phone together. These conversations will continue between now and December 24, 2026, when I-95 officially celebrates its 50th anniversary. Finster, whose real name is Sean Finnegan, was part of the I-95 family from 2001 to 2006, and he has plenty of history with the station. In fact, the I-95 archives describe a time when the station had an unusually large collection of morning-show personalities under the same roof, including Finster, Ethan, Omelette and Lou. This time around, Finster called into the show live from Michigan, where he is still doing what he does best — radio. He currently co-hosts a show with another former I-95 personality, Omelette, which makes this reunion feel even more like an I-95 family get-together, just with a few hundred miles between the studios. It’s pretty wild to think about how many people have passed through the halls of I-95 over the years. Some stayed for decades, some moved on to other markets and others ended up doing radio in places you probably wouldn't expect. As the station approaches its 50th birthday, the 50 Series gives the boys a chance to reconnect with some of those people and, hopefully, uncover a few stories that have been buried in the I-95 vault for a long time. And if Finster and Omelette are any indication, there are probably plenty of stories left to tell.

    Thursday, Sep 24 - The Special Episode of Different Strokes

    Lou brings up the infamous “special” episode of Diff’rent Strokes from the ’80s, and somehow that one reference is enough to send an entire generation of sitcom viewers straight down memory lane. Danbury Mayor Roberto Alves joins the boys in the studio for another edition of “Ask the Mayor,” and this time he reveals his three favorite U.S. Presidents of all time. A 43-year-old DUI suspect in Virginia apparently tried a very unusual strategy to beat a breathalyzer test: drinking toilet water. And not just any toilet water — the water came from a toilet she had actually used while at the jail. Needless to say, the plan did not work. Erin Hoopes was ultimately charged with DUI and hit-and-run. If you’re heading to an Islanders game this season, you may have the opportunity to try a grilled cheese sandwich stuffed with Nerds clusters. Yes, Nerds. Apparently, combining candy and grilled cheese is a thing, and we're going to have to decide whether this is genius or a cry for help. GLP-1 patients are reporting some potentially serious side effects, including reports of permanent eye damage and vision loss. We’ll take a look at what’s being reported and what you should know. Meanwhile, influencer Frankie LaPenna stepped into what’s being called the first human-versus-robot fight and found out the hard way that remote-controlled humanoid robots apparently don't care about your follower count. LaPenna took a pretty serious beating in the ring. And there’s some sad news for fans of ’80s music. Pete Byrne, the lead singer of Naked Eyes, has died at 74 after a brief illness. Byrne died September 14 in Los Angeles and was best known for the band’s hit “Always Something There to Remind Me.” Finally, Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart is officially done for the regular season after suffering a serious knee injury. Head coach John Harbaugh confirmed that Dart will miss the remainder of the regular season, with Jameis Winston taking over at quarterback.

    Wednesday, Sep 23 - Utah, Get me Two!

    Are Amazon delivery drones coming to Connecticut? It certainly looks like that could be happening, although the drone delivery program hasn't exactly been going smoothly in one Texas suburb. The boys take a look at what's going on and whether Connecticut could be next. New York has unveiled its new “robo-toilets,” which are basically fancy, high-tech porta-potties that anyone can use for free. Sounds great, right? Well, there is one very important rule you need to know about before getting too comfortable. There’s a strict 10-minute time limit, and when your time is up, the door automatically swings open. So maybe don't try to turn it into your personal office. Former Pitt quarterback Phil Jurkovec was arrested last Friday after allegedly stealing a box truck from Allegheny Health Network’s Wexford Hospital. The boys break down what happened and how someone goes from the football field to allegedly taking a hospital box truck. It's also National Go With Your Gut Day, so naturally the boys discuss whether you should actually trust your instincts. Do you have a gut feeling about something that turned out to be completely correct? A man went viral after filming himself picking up a DoorDash order at the scene of a crash involving the delivery driver who was supposed to bring him his food. Talk about being committed to getting your dinner. A Long Island woman had a terrifying birthday after she suddenly fell about eight feet into a sinkhole that opened up in her backyard. She couldn't get herself out, but thankfully her neighbors heard her screams and called 911. There's also a new documentary about the late Norm Macdonald coming to Netflix, giving fans a chance to revisit the comedian's life and career. And finally, do you have any regrets? A new survey says 22% of Americans claim they have none. Lou, on the other hand, apparently has enough regrets for the entire country.
