Thoughtful content delivered in a warm and caring way. So needed in today’s fast-paced world. Wendy is knowledgeable and excellent at her craft.

I work with an energy healer (who introduced me to Wendy's work). I also see a more traditional therapist (although we also talk about energy healing-she is not as well versed as Wendy but she is on her own healing journey using chakras) i am also (unashamedly) on medication. I can confirm that this multi-pronged approach is wonderful and so effective. I would not be able to get as much out of talk therapy if I hadn't learned about my issues "below the belt" Wendy's teaching hold the potential for deep and profound healing. Reading her book 'Becoming An Empowered Empath' helped me to clear trauma that had been stored in my body for decades.

I have been listening to both this podcast and to Wendy’s book “Becoming an Empowered Empath.” As someone who has struggled with absorbing energy from others indiscriminately all my life, I was looking for ways to understand, own, and learn how to have boundaries and how to release this energy that isn’t mine. So far, I have gathered some helpful tips, and I’ll keep listening to see what else I can continue to learn. One caveat - in the episode about parenting children who might be empathic, she included being a Highly Sensitive Person under the category of “disorder”. It is not a disorder - it is a Genetic trait. Genetic traits are things like your eye color, hair color, dimples, handedness, etc. Approximately 20% or more of the population has this trait. This trait has also been found in 100+ other species. In order to normalize sensitivity (instead of treating it like it *is* a disorder) we have to be sure we are educating others that being highly sensitive is *not* a disorder. It is a trait. I really appreciate the part about how to address a child who says they are seeing/experiencing a spirit. Her guidance seems really sound and kind, respectful, gentle, while also pointing out that sometimes outside psychological support is both helpful and needed.
