    Scottie Wows, Bill Doesn’t Speak and Football is Back

    We get a week where there is no basketball news of note. Because the king is back, football. College football ends week 0 and we are off for a new college football season under the new reality that is college sports, and we don’t like it, though it is entertaining. Who is watching these guys. We talk a little professional (well NFL professional, not college professional) as the best time to be a team backer is upon us as your team is a Super Bowl contender and your win-loss record is the best in the league. But we start with golf news and the putative 5 time Player of the Year. Enjoy folks.

    Crimes and Misdemeanors, Golf, and Some Meandering

    Well, this is another week of trying to find news in weird places. We go from barbeque to prostitution to some golf news. Yep, this is the last week of this, we promise. 49ers ownership has a public relations problem and doesn’t it isn’t about the electrical substation. The SEC realizes the absurdity of their own stupid rules and closes the barn door after the horse comes back in. Way to go LSU.

    Ok, another week of summer sports, but we are almost there. We talk alittle about cocaine problems at Penn State, then Jeff gives us his GMC Dealer reviews as he comes in hot. We talk some Cowboys, and a little golf. We are getting ready to head into football, so are thinking up ways to amuse each other.

    Kawhi Gets Paid???, WNBA In the News, and How You Don’t Play Golf

    You know when the sports doldrums hit and you find yourself watching too much of the Ocho? The universe provides with some of the stupidest things to talk about. WNBA in the news in two ways with players saying things, taking them back and their CBA becoming a topic of discussion. Oh yeah and then there are the two ex-NBA players declaring for their draft. We talk some Kawhi as it looks like he will not only take himself and Uncle Dennis down, but may bring the Clippers or Steve Ballmer with him. And then we round out with a bizarre story from the world of amateur golf. Strap in folks, this one is a doozy.

    Oak Hills’ own Will Worth joins the show for a deep discussion on the FedEx Cup playoffs as our boys compete to get in. Perhaps the PGA has finally gotten the schedule right and has threaded the sports news cycle perfectly as we are talking scenarios and tour cards and guys on the bubble in the first week of August. In breaking news, FIFA is corrupt, and Mayor Jones tries to revisit San Antonio's support for the Spurs arena and the larger Project Marvel. And then we turn our attention to all the ills of sports and solve the rest of them. We smart!

    Golf Stabbing, Spurs Make a Deal (Investment) and SA’s MLS Dream is Dead!

    Local talent Mac Meissner and Johnny Keefer are fighting hard to make it to the playoffs so best wishes to both of them. But we start out by talking about stabbing on a golf course. San Antonio’s own true crime podcast. Then Lebron goes to Philly and we wonder if he will be embraced by the fans that threw batteries at Santa. And we round back around to the golfing end of season. Oh yeah, we may have discussed Spurs hush money and whether they could have dodged their contractual obligations.

    World Cup Ends, British Open (The Open) Finishes and Our Golf Rushmore

    The World Cup Ends with a whimper by Argentina and a great win for Spain. Viva Espana. The trophy pose gets interrupted though. Fox dazzles at the Open, or the British Open if you are Phil. And since we are in the dark ages for sports news, we decide to do some movie picks and Phil and Bob give up their Rushmore of golf movies. We will followup as we approach the NFL season with the Rushmore in other sports, so if you read our descriptions shoot us an email on the web site of what is your Rushmore of football, and basketball movies. Baseball movies as well which we may do when Phil takes a vacation.

    Spurs Fire Someone, We Wiretap a Conversation and World Cup nears completion

    Jacob Tobey gets fired for cheating on his girlfriend and perhaps we have reached peak morality. We talk some World Cup as we head into the semifinals and we have chalk. Bob has some money riding on it, but Phil and Jeff dash his hopes of fortune. Then we get into it on NBA Free Agency. Our crack investigative journalists got a mic into a recruiting trip made by the spurs own Luke Kornet. Daffy is not amused. Check out the website and drop us a note.
