Let's be honest. There has been a lot of silly and hyped idealizing from Dems, e.g., Jason Crow (not the only dreamer in the ranks), about future criminal punishment for Trump appointees and other Trump officials for their overt lawlessness. These Dems talk about "taking names" and "making lists" of Trumpers to be punished in the future.
Who is fooling who here? Dems are going to grow a pair after/if we get Trump out....Pleeeeeeeeaze
Look, we already have one conman and a horde of liars in full control of the Government. We don't need more and/or a bait and switch con.
Nothing is going to happen criminally to any Trump appointee or official. They'll all migrate into the rightwing, private apparatus with good salaries and Gov't Bennies, and then they'll piss into the tent waiting for the opportunity to get back into power.
Sure, maybe, a few low level GS Fed employees may go under the bus due to State violations, but those laws too have a ton of legal gymnastics and escape tunnels associated with them. And maybe a few DOJ attorney(s) will have their careers reduced to slip and trip cases, but that is about it.
First, we have to survive 2026 and 2028, very doubtful.
Second, Trump will write blanket pardons if he leaves office in Jan 2029.
Third, the Dem leadership will fall over themselves with their heal the nation Lincoln play acting. BTW: that got Lincoln a bullet in the head, moreover, MAGA is nothing more than a reprising and repackaging of the Southern Confederacy. Check the map.
Fourth, as soon as the Dems get into office, they'll resume their nonsensical ideals and boutique issues which put the likes of Trump in the WH to begin with.
