#63 | Joanne Lewis | Going and Growing as a Laborer

Our guest this week is Joanne Lewis, who has faithfully labored and discipled since her college days. Joanne came to Christ at the University of Montevallo in the early days of Campus Outreach and embarked on her "life of adventure”with her husband Brian Lewis (episode #60). Today, she lives in Memphis, TN, and continues to invest her time in Campus Outreach and women in ministry. Joanne's passion stems from the reality that the Lord grows us as we go, and we go as we grow. She desires to see the amazing things God will do with our availability. Movement Spotlight: Campus Outreach Athens Season 4 will focus on our definition of a laborer, “a person mobilized through the church to live out Christ-centered identity with Spirit-filled character, who is governed by a Biblical worldview and who engages persuasively among non-Christians with the gospel and is equipped to multiply this lifestyle in others.” Music by QubeSounds and Bamboo Corporate _________________ If you enjoyed this episode, subscribe to the show on your favorite podcasting service to receive new episodes as soon as they are released. Our guest this week is Sarah L., on staff with Campus Outreach Birmingham, England. Sarah shares her upbringing as a child of Campus Outreach staff, her conversion, and the first twinges of a desire to become a laborer. She shares her reflections on what it means not only to be a follower and disciple of Jesus, but also a laborer in God's harvest field. Sarah's burden is to see multiplication happen all over the world, especially among the multiple worldviews, religions, and nationalities she works with on the U.K. campus.  Sarah's passion and resolve to be a laborer can be heard when she says, "Lord, you've got to take this to the next generation, and they have to be able to multiply this to the next generation, it can't end with me!” Movement Spotlight: Campus Outreach San Diego Season 4 will focus on our definition of a laborer, “a person mobilized through the church to live out Christ-centered identity with Spirit-filled character, who is governed by a Biblical worldview and who engages persuasively among non-Christians with the gospel and is equipped to multiply this lifestyle in others.” Music by QubeSounds and Bamboo Corporate _________________ If you enjoyed this episode, subscribe to the show on your favorite podcasting service to receive new episodes as soon as they are released.
