Why you don't have time to create more content (and what to do instead)

I'm talking about why you don't have time to create more content - and why that's almost never actually true. This is the thing I hear before any other business challenge: people telling me they wish they were posting more. So I want to be honest about what's really going on there, because in most cases it isn't a time problem. It's what you're quietly choosing to prioritise instead, and a business model that may be eating the hours you need for visibility in the first place. So this episode is the practical version. What a proper time audit actually looks like, the boringly simple recording setup that took away all my excuses, and the four-part formula I use to turn a five-minute ramble into something people stop for. Including what happened to my own "ritual" the first time real life got in the way of it. Visibility should never be the first thing that gives - because there's no point building or launching anything if nobody knows about it. Highlights(00:34) - why visibility is almost always the first thing to give, and why it shouldn't be (03:34) - the proper time audit I ask every client to do before we touch anything else (06:02) - the two boringly simple recording spots that took the friction out of showing up (09:41) - why the best ideas come from you, not the app you type them into (11:00) - the four-part formula behind every reel that actually gets watched (13:44) - building a one-line authority statement you're allowed to repeat ad nauseam (17:53) - what happens to a "ritual" the first time life gets in the way of it (18:50) - why lowering the bar on the first step gets you there faster than any content plan FREE TRAINING: https://cushyceo.com/free-training To find out more: Website Instagram Download the FREE Every day Sales Systems Playbook

What Daily Posting Has Taught Me About Visibility

I'm talking about what four days of posting daily has already taught me - and why visibility was never actually the goal. This episode picks up where last week left off. I'm a few days into a daily posting challenge, and the learnings — including some pushback — are already coming in fast. I talk about why my strategy for this isn't necessarily yours, what fear of visibility has actually been costing me, and why getting comfortable being seen imperfectly is doing more for my communication than any amount of planning ever did. The bigger realisation, though, is about what happens after someone finds you. I use the analogy of a front door and a house to explain why so many practitioners are pouring all their energy into visibility while what happens next - positioning, offer clarity, a clear path to buying - is still undecided. Visibility gets someone to the door. It's not the same as having a house that's ready for them. Visibility is not the destination. It's an accelerant — and an accelerant is only useful if there's already a healthy fire behind it. Highlights(01:24) - The reactions Polly's first few days of daily posting have already stirred up (03:16) - Why raw and unpolished is working better than polished right now (04:38) - Why Polly's strategy for this isn't necessarily the right one for you (05:07) - What fear of public speaking has actually been costing her (09:49) - The realisation that visibility was never the actual goal (10:08) - The front door analogy: why we obsess over visibility and neglect what's behind it (16:32) - The real question to ask instead of "what hook should I use next?" The Introvert's Guide to Visibility

I'm talking about the uncomfortable question behind every plateau: not what you're already good at, but where you're leaving money on the table. This episode is about visibility, but really it's about the gap between what you're good at and what has infrastructure behind it. I share a client story where brilliant visibility with no funnel behind it was capping her sales, and my own blind spot - quietly calling under-investment in visibility "a flex" because everything else in the business was already working. We get into why getting started matters more than getting it right, practical ways to ease into showing up on camera without overcomplicating it, and why the version of you people trust is the one that sounds like a person, not a teacher. You don't need the perfect hook, the perfect edit, or the perfect backdrop. You need to hit publish and keep going. Highlights (01:20) - The uncomfortable question to ask when you hit a plateau (03:26) - "Coach-sulting" — why blind spots need a mirror, not just more knowledge (03:45) - The client who made her first high-ticket sale without a sales call (05:23) - Polly's own blind spot: calling under-investment in visibility "a flex" (09:22) - Is it too much, or is your approach to it too much? (13:22) - Where to start if you haven't shown up on camera at all (14:37) - The simple principles that matter more than perfect edits (17:35) - The two questions to take away from this episode To find out more: Website Instagram Download the FREE Every day Sales Systems Playbook

Six-Figure Boundaries: The Rules That Protect Your Business From You

I'm talking about the six-figure boundaries that protect your business from you — and why boundaries that bend are just suggestions in disguise. This episode is about what actually happens when you don't enforce the limits you set. We get into why over-delivering can quietly become a liability, why "instant messaging" doesn't mean you owe anyone an instant reply, and the moment a throwaway comment from a fellow ads manager changed how I run my entire business. We also talk attention as a boundary in its own right — screen time, phone fasting, and creating before you consume — because protecting your business starts with protecting your own headspace. The pattern is always the same: undefined boundaries don't create freedom, they create a slow-burning resentment that eventually shows up as burnout, and burnout is the real threat to your revenue, not your client load. A boundary isn't a boundary unless you enforce it. Until then, it's just a suggestion. Highlights: (01:10) - Why perimenopause changed how Polly thinks about boundaries around health (04:37) - The moment Polly realised her "boundaries" were actually just suggestions (06:38) - What over-delivering was really costing her (and why her copywriter called it out) (07:44) - "That doesn't happen to me" — the conversation that changed everything (11:36) - Boundaries around attention: what The Dose Effect got right about screen time (16:32) - Why Polly stopped checking her inbox until midday (18:54) - Boundaries around client access, and why instant doesn't mean immediate (24:16) - Boundaries around your calendar, and why Friday off starts on Monday (27:00) - Boundaries around opportunity — the real question to ask before saying yes To find out more: Website Instagram Download the FREE Every day Sales Systems Playbook

Niche Down, Cash Up: Building 10K Months Without Burnout

In this week's episode, I'm talking about how to make launch-size revenue without launching — and the real-life predicament that comes up on nearly every discovery call I take. So many of the people I speak to have something demanding, non-negotiable, happening outside their business — caring for elderly parents, recovering from illness, raising young children. There's no shame in choosing to step back during that season if that's what's needed. But for most people, there isn't a backup plan, so the work still has to happen. And what a lot of them discover is that their 2–3K months, with the occasional surprise 5K month, don't actually hold up once you work out what they're earning per hour once marketing, admin and taxes are factored in. This is where the advice from bro marketers falls apart. Cancel your holidays, work through your kids' childhood, hustle now so you can rest later — it's not sustainable, and it's not necessary once you understand the actual mechanics of getting to a consistent 10K month. That comes down to three things: a strong, hyper-specific personal brand, one clear premium offer with a defined client journey, and a simple offer suite underneath it — a freebie, a workshop, and eventually a mini offer — that does the selling for you without a live launch every quarter. The takeaway: simplicity isn't a nice-to-have here. It's the whole strategy. Highlights: (00:35) - The real predicament behind so many discovery calls (06:15) - Why "working smarter" beats finding more hours (06:45) - The three things you actually need for a 10K month (11:00) - Building a group programme without exhausting live launches (13:00) - How your offer suite fits together (and why order matters) (14:30) - Inside the mini offer funnel (15:30) - The one word Polly wants you to remember: simplicity To find out more: Website Instagram Download the FREE Every day Sales Systems Playbook
