A Better Way to Pursue What Matters with Dr. David H. Green

What does it look like to lead people through encouragement, service, and genuine care? In this episode of Sales Strategies for Christian Coaches, I’m talking with David H. Green about supportive leadership. David shares how his longtime relationship with the Ziglar family shaped his faith, priorities, and belief that great leadership begins by helping other people succeed. We discuss the Ziglar Wheel of Life, how to recognize areas that need attention, and why balance may look different in every season. David also walks us through several important questions that can help us determine whether a dream or goal is truly worth pursuing. In this conversation, you’ll learn: → How to identify the area of your life that needs your next step→ Why your priorities may change during different seasons→ How to determine whether a goal is truly yours→ Five questions that can help you qualify a dream→ Why emotional commitment matters when goals become difficult→ How collaboration and community can help you move forward→ A simple practice that can change how you see the people you lead David reminds us that leadership isn’t about controlling people from the top. It’s about supporting them, encouraging them, and finding genuine joy in their growth. How to Tell Stories That Connect with J. Loren Norris

Your audience doesn’t need your entire life story. They need a meaningful moment that helps them feel seen, recognize what’s possible, and understand why you may be the right person to help them move forward. In this episode of Sales Strategies for Christian Coaches, I’m joined by J. Loren Norris, founder of Story Power Academy and a speaker at Christian Coaches Academy Live 2026. J. Loren has coached government officials, entrepreneurs, and nonprofit leaders across five nations. In our conversation, he explains how storytelling can help coaches, speakers, authors, and Christian entrepreneurs communicate their credibility without relying on a long résumé or a list of qualifications. We discuss the difference between sharing a personal story for your own benefit and telling a story that genuinely serves the person listening. J. Loren also explains why the most useful stories are often built around a single recognizable moment rather than an entire personal journey. In this episode, you’ll learn: → Why a credential alone doesn’t establish credibility→ How client stories can demonstrate your experience and process→ Why your audience may not care about your story in the way you expect→ How to help listeners recognize themselves in the stories you tell→ The three wins created by a story that deeply connects→ Why authenticity and shared values build trust→ How to make your story a moment instead of a memoir→ Why speakers and coaches need a collection of stories→ How to develop storytelling as a flexible skill rather than memorizing one perfect story→ How observation can help you choose the right story for the people in front of you One of my favorite ideas from this conversation is that you don’t need one perfect signature story. You need a growing collection of authentic moments and the ability to shape those moments for the audience you’re serving. A strong story gives people the context, clarity, and credibility they need to recognize that you understand where they are and may be able to help them reach where they want to go. Becoming A More Masterful Christian Coach

In this episode, I sit down with Brian Williams and Jonathan Armel of Two Master Coaches to talk about what it really looks like to coach clients at a deeper, more transformational level. Brian and Jonathan are both master certified coaches through the ICF, and they bring decades of experience helping coaches grow in presence, skill, awareness, and integrity. We talk about the difference between simply giving advice and truly coaching, why preparation matters before every call, and how Christian coaches can surrender the outcome while still serving clients with excellence. If you want to become the kind of coach who listens more deeply, asks better questions, and creates lasting transformation for your clients, this conversation will give you practical places to start. In this episode, we talk about: Brian’s journey from a difficult personal season into coaching and purposeJonathan’s transition from high school teacher to coach trainer and mentorWhy coaching at a masterful level requires both skill and surrenderThe importance of preparing your mind before a coaching callWhy great coaches listen more than they talkHow to ask questions that help clients gain deeper awarenessThe difference between coaching the “doing” and coaching the “being”Why the coach owns the process, but the client owns the destinationHow faith shapes the way Brian and Jonathan show up for their clientsTheir heart behind helping coaches create a greater impact Masterful coaching is not about having all the answers. It is about being present enough to listen deeply, ask the right next question, and trust God with the outcome. How to Turn Your Book Into More Coaching Clients

What if your book was not just a book, but one of the most powerful business tools you could create? In this episode of Sales Strategies for Christian Coaches, Justin Janowski talks with Patricio Ordonez about how Christian coaches, entrepreneurs, speakers, and aspiring authors can use a book to build authority, attract leads, open doors to speaking opportunities, and move people toward their coaching offers. Patricio shares how he and his wife, Daniela, discovered their calling through years of trial, error, obedience, and imperfect action. Together, they now help faith-driven authors write, publish, and position their books as part of a purpose-driven business. This conversation is especially valuable if you have ever wondered whether writing a book could help you grow your coaching business, or if you already have a book sitting on the shelf and you are not sure how to use it strategically. In this episode, you’ll hear: Why coaches should consider writing a book even if they do not see themselves as authors yet How a book can create instant authority in your area of influence Why your book should lead readers to breakthroughs, not just information How to think about your ideal reader as someone you are uniquely called to serve Why your book should connect to your message, framework, and offer How to use a book as the entry point in your customer journey Why book sales are not the only measure of success How books can open doors to speaking, coaching, and client conversations What the Kingdom Book Awards are and why Christian authors should consider submitting their work Patricio will also be speaking at Christian Coaches Academy Live, happening July 15-17 in Milwaukee, where he will teach more on how to turn your book into more sales. Who You Are Matters More Than What You Sell

Who you’re being matters more than what you’re selling. In this episode of Sales Strategies for Christian Coaches, Justin Janowski shares a simple but powerful reminder for Christian coaches, consultants, and entrepreneurs: your business is not built only on what you offer or how you sell it. It is also built on who you are while you do it. Justin reflects on his own early business failures, the lessons he learned about sales and marketing, and why integrity, generosity, and skill matter so much when you are building a meaningful business. This episode is a call to stop focusing only on tactics and remember that people buy from people. Your values, your communication, your energy, your integrity, and your way of being are felt before you ever make the offer. In this episode, Justin talks about: Why who you are matters more than what you sell The difference between focusing only on “what” and “how” versus honoring the “who” Why Christian entrepreneurs are called to build with integrity How being true to your word builds trust Why generosity opens doors and strengthens relationships The importance of becoming good at your craft, sales, marketing, and service Why good can be a strong and faithful starting place How to show up as the person God made you to be in business Key takeaway: As you figure out what to offer and how to grow, don’t forget the deeper foundation: who you are. Be true. Be generous. Be good. If you want to become the kind of coach people trust before you ever make the offer, join us at CCA Live 2026. You’ll learn practical sales and business strategies while connecting with Christian coaches who are building with integrity, generosity, and excellence.f2itribe.com/ccalive2026

Overcoming Toxic Shame with Guest Mark Hanson

Have you ever struggled with shame, imposter syndrome, or the fear that you are not enough to do the work God has called you to do? In this episode of Sales Strategies for Christian Coaches, Justin Janowski talks with Mark Hanson about overcoming toxic shame, shutting down, and the inner stories that keep Christian coaches and entrepreneurs from showing up fully. Mark is a pastor and coach who works with Christian men to help them overcome shame, stop shutting down, and stand fast in who God created them to be. In this conversation, Mark shares how shame affected his own life, ministry, marriage, and relationships, and how his healing journey eventually became part of the work he now does with others. Justin and Mark unpack the difference between guilt and shame, how toxic shame creates the belief that “I am not enough,” and why imposter syndrome often keeps coaches from marketing, selling, sharing their story, and making their offer. They also talk about why many coaches are called to serve people who are facing struggles they have personally walked through, and how honest, appropriate vulnerability can create deeper connection with the people you are called to help. This episode is especially helpful for Christian coaches, consultants, entrepreneurs, and leaders who feel stuck because of fear, self-doubt, perfectionism, or the belief that they need to be further along before they can serve others. In this episode, you’ll hear: How Mark Hanson discovered his calling as a coachWhy many coaches serve people who are facing struggles they once facedThe difference between guilt and toxic shameHow shame creates the lie that “I am not enough”Why imposter syndrome can keep Christian coaches from moving forwardHow awareness becomes the first step toward changeWhy exposure, grace, and safe relationships matter in healingHow your past struggles can become part of your messageA practical question to ask when shame is keeping you stuckOne of the key questions Mark encourages listeners to consider is: What is it costing you to not be honest with yourself about what is going on in your life? If toxic shame, imposter syndrome, or fear of being seen has been holding you back, this conversation will help you name what is happening and take a practical next step toward showing up with more honesty, courage, and purpose. She also introduces her TEACH framework, which helps coaches think more clearly about transformation, curriculum, client implementation, and reflection.
