Love this podcast. Owyn and Mark are incredibly knowledgeable about all things Celtic. Owyn was destined to be a Celtic since he dominated the children of Shaquille O’Neal and LeBron James on a gritty playground in Santa Monica, turned towards their fathers, and screamed “You want some of this?!” But, Owyn is moving on, attending the college with the finest hockey program in America and more important, in Greater Boston - regardless of what Al’s kids think. No doubt Mark could have ably carried on alone, but he knew that to continue to grow as a podcaster, he needed to heed the drumbeat that the podcast “Needs more Al!” Mark and Al have been making each other better since sharing a backcourt at Beaver Country Day in Chestnut Hill. Al is the progeny of great Celtics like Jerry Sichting, E’Twaun Moore, and Carsen Edwards. He’s the guy like Bill Russell, who first came to the Garden three days before Christmas 1956. The rain was making Causeway slick and the fog was making it hard for some - but not for Red - to see the history about to be made. Russ came into the locker room and said “Easy, guys. I put my pants on just like the rest of you - one leg at a time. Except once my pants are on, I win championships! Alright, here we go!” And then he threw up.
