Ep 226 // Why Do I Keep Comparing Myself to Other Moms? How to Stop Comparing Yourself and Feeling Like You're Not Enough.mp3

Struggling with mom comparison? Learn why we compare ourselves to other moms, what Galatians 6:4 says about it, and 3 steps to break the cycle. You're having a perfectly fine day — until one scroll through Instagram, one glance at another mom's spotless kitchen, or one conversation about her thriving career sends you spiraling into "why can't I get it together like she has?" In this episode, I break down why comparison feels so powerful (hint: it's not really about wanting what she has), what Galatians 6:4 says about testing our own actions instead of measuring ourselves against someone else, and three practical steps to catch the comparison spiral before it steals your peace. Whether it's motherhood, marriage, career, or your home, this episode is a reminder that God isn't asking you to keep up with anyone else's life — just to be faithful with the one He gave you. What You'll Learn in This Episode Why comparing yourself to other moms is never a fair comparison (you're comparing your behind-the-scenes to her highlight reel) The real reason comparison stings — it's not envy, it's often a lie you already believe about yourself What Galatians 6:4 teaches about testing our own actions instead of comparing Three truths to remember when comparison creeps in: her strength isn't your failure, different isn't deficient, and faithfulness isn't about keeping up A simple 3-step practice — catch it, name it, return to your calling — to interrupt the comparison spiral in real time How 2 Corinthians 10:5 (taking every thought captive) applies directly to moments of comparison Key Takeaway God isn't comparing you to anyone else — He's asking you to be faithful with what He's actually placed in your hands. Comparison isn't a character flaw to be ashamed of; it's a pattern you can notice, name, and redirect back to truth. Scripture Referenced Galatians 6:4 — "Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else." 2 Corinthians 10:5 — Taking every thought captive and making it obedient to Christ Continue Growing with Faith Led Ministries If today's episode encouraged you, I'd love to invite you to continue growing with us at FaithLedMinistries.com. Ep 225 // Why Am I Always So Hard on Myself? How to Stop Living Under the Pressure to Get Everything Right

Do you find yourself constantly criticizing yourself? Maybe you made a mistake at work and can't stop replaying it. Maybe you lost your patience with your kids and spent the rest of the day feeling guilty. Maybe you didn't get everything done and immediately started thinking about what you should have done differently. For many Christian women, especially working moms, being hard on yourself can become so normal that you don't even recognize it anymore. You expect yourself to be patient, productive, organized, spiritually consistent, emotionally healthy, available to your family, successful at work—and somehow still have enough energy left at the end of the day. And when you don't meet those expectations, you don't simply think, "I could have handled that better." You think, "What's wrong with me?" In this episode of the Faith Led Working Moms Podcast, we're talking about self-criticism, perfectionism, guilt, and the pressure to get everything right. More importantly, we're looking at what God's Word says about our identity, our failures, and the difference between biblical conviction and condemnation. You don't have to become perfect to be faithful. And you don't have to punish yourself in order to grow. In this episode, you'll discover: Why you may be much harder on yourself than you realize How perfectionism can create a constant feeling of never being good enough The difference between conviction and condemnation Why your mistakes don't determine your worth or identity How to recognize when self-criticism has crossed the line into shame Why biblical grace doesn't mean ignoring sin or avoiding responsibility How to respond differently when you mess up A simple practice for replacing harsh self-talk with biblical truth How to stop measuring your worth by your productivity, performance, or ability to keep everything together Romans 8:1 reminds us that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. That doesn't mean we never need correction. It means we don't have to live under a constant sentence of shame. God can show us where we need to grow without telling us that we're worthless because we haven't arrived yet. Maybe you don't need to become harder on yourself. Maybe you need to learn how to receive God's grace while continuing to faithfully grow. A question to reflect on this week: Would I talk to someone I love the way I talk to myself? When you catch yourself thinking, I'm failing, I should be doing more, I can't get anything right, pause and ask: Is this conviction—or condemnation? Then ask God to show you what is yours to repent of, what is yours to learn from, and what you need to release to Him. You can take responsibility without tearing yourself apart. You can grow without shaming yourself. And you can be imperfect and still deeply loved by God. If you're ready to create more balance in your life: If you're tired of feeling like you're constantly trying to keep up, Faithfully Balanced was created to help working Christian moms identify what matters most, establish healthier priorities and boundaries, and build rhythms that actually work in real life. Ep. 224 // How Do I Trust God When I Don't Know What's Next? Following God Through Seasons of Uncertainty

What do you do when you’re trusting God, but you still don’t know what’s next? Maybe you’re waiting for an answer, facing a difficult decision, navigating grief, worried about your finances, waiting on medical results, or simply wondering what the next season of life is going to look like. Uncertainty can make us crave control and clarity. We want the roadmap. We want to know how everything is going to work out. But Scripture reminds us that our security was never meant to come from knowing the future—it comes from knowing the God who already holds it. In this episode of the Faith Led Working Moms Podcast, we’re talking about what it really looks like to trust God when you don’t know what’s next. I'm sharing three reminders for navigating seasons of uncertainty: 1. Trust and faith grow in the waiting, not just in the answer. God doesn’t always give us the entire roadmap. Often, He gives us enough light for the next step. We look at the stories of Abraham, Moses, Ruth, and Joseph and how they each had to take faithful steps without knowing exactly where God was leading them. 2. Fear gets loud when the future feels quiet. When we don’t have answers, our minds can quickly fill in the blanks with worst-case scenarios. Lindsay shares a simple question to use when worry begins to spiral: “What do I actually know to be true today?” 3. God’s presence is often greater than His explanation. Sometimes we desperately want God to explain why something is happening, but instead, He reminds us that He is with us. Lindsay shares personally about walking through life after losing her husband, Brandon, and the ways she has seen God's faithfulness through His provision, people, strength, and presence. You may not know what tomorrow holds. You may not have the answers you're asking God for yet. But you can know the One who holds tomorrow. Scripture mentioned: Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.” This Week’s Challenge Whenever you catch yourself worrying about something you can’t control, pause and ask: “What do I know is true about God today?” Write down one truth from Scripture each day and let that truth become the place your mind returns to instead of all the “what ifs.” Resources If you’re ready to move from constantly reacting to life’s uncertainties toward living with greater peace, purpose, and biblical confidence, visit Faith Led Ministries for free resources and practical tools to help you grow in your walk with God. Ep 223 // Why Can't I Stop Worrying About My Kids? 3 Biblical Truths for Moms Who Want to Trust God More Than Fear

If you’re a Christian mom who can’t stop worrying about your kids, you’re not alone. Whether you’re worried about their choices, friendships, health, faith, safety, or future, it can be incredibly difficult to trust God with the people you love most. In this episode of the Faith Led Working Moms Podcast, we’re talking about how to stop worrying about your children and learn to trust God with them. As moms, our worry often comes from a very real place of love. We care deeply about our children, so it can feel almost impossible to let go of the fear of what might happen to them. But God never asked you to control your children’s future. He has called you to faithfully love, guide, teach, pray for, and point them toward Him—while trusting Him with what only He can do. Today, I share three biblical reminders to help you when worry about your kids begins taking over: 1. Your job is faithfulness, not control. You can be a faithful mom without being responsible for every outcome in your child’s life. Learn to recognize the difference between godly responsibility and trying to control what only God can control. 2. Prayer accomplishes what worry never can. Instead of replaying worst-case scenarios and carrying constant fear, you can bring your concerns about your children directly to God. Prayer gives your worries somewhere to go and reminds you that you are not parenting alone. 3. God loves your children even more than you do. This may be one of the most comforting truths a mother can remember. God created your children, knows their future, and is able to care for them in ways you never could. If you’ve been struggling with mom anxiety, fear about your child’s future, worrying about your children, or learning how to trust God with your kids, this episode will encourage you to release what you cannot control and place your children back into the hands of the One who loves them perfectly. In This Episode Why moms worry so much about their children The connection between worry, love, responsibility, and control How to recognize when concern has turned into anxiety and fear Why being a faithful mom doesn't mean controlling the outcome How prayer can replace worry Why God can be trusted with your children Encouragement for moms worried about their child's future How to surrender your children's lives to God A simple practice for turning worry into prayer Biblical encouragement for Christian moms who are afraid A Reminder for the Mom Who Is Worried You don't have to stop loving your children in order to stop carrying their future. You can faithfully parent them while trusting God with them. You can pray when you don't know what to do. You can release what you cannot control. And you can remember that the God who loves you is also faithfully holding the children you love most. Ep 222 // Why Do I Feel Guilty Every Time I Rest? What the Bible Really Says About Sabbath and Productivity

Do you feel guilty every time you rest? As a working Christian mom, it can feel almost impossible to slow down without thinking about everything you still need to do. The laundry isn't finished, the emails aren't answered, the house needs attention, and there's always something else on your to-do list. But what if rest isn't something you have to earn? In this episode of the Faith Led Working Moms Podcast, we're talking about the guilt many Christian women feel around rest, productivity, and slowing down. We'll look at what the Bible really says about Sabbath and biblical rest and why taking time to stop isn't laziness or a lack of ambition—it can actually be an act of trust in God. We'll talk about: Why rest can make you feel guilty How our culture has connected our worth with productivity What Sabbath teaches us about trusting God The difference between biblical rest and simply "doing nothing" Why your identity isn't determined by how much you accomplish How rest can become an act of faith Simple ways to create healthier rhythms of work and rest You don't have to finish everything before you're allowed to rest. You don't have to prove your worth through productivity. And you don't have to carry everything yourself. God created you with limits, and He didn't design you to live in a constant state of doing. Rest isn't laziness. Rest is trust. If you're an overwhelmed Christian working mom who wants to live with greater biblical balance, peace, and intention, this episode is for you. A Question to Consider When you feel guilty for resting, what are you believing about yourself, your responsibilities, or what God expects from you? Ep 221 // Why Is It So Hard to Spend Time with God Consistently? Moving Beyond Guilt and Into Relationship

Do you struggle to spend time with God consistently? Maybe you've started a Bible reading plan with the best intentions, only to fall behind and feel guilty. If your quiet time has begun to feel more like another task on your to-do list than a relationship with God, this episode is for you. In Episode 221 of the Faith Led Working Moms Podcast, we're talking about why it's so hard to stay consistent in your devotional life and how guilt may actually be keeping you from growing closer to God. Instead of trying harder or chasing the perfect quiet time routine, you'll discover how to move from obligation into a life-giving relationship with Jesus. In this episode, you'll learn: Why spending time with God can feel so difficult, even when you truly desire it. The hidden guilt cycle that keeps many Christians feeling stuck. Why rushing through your Bible reading and prayer isn't the real problem. How to build a sustainable quiet time rooted in grace instead of performance. Practical ways to grow closer to God one faithful step at a time. If you've ever wondered why your devotional life feels inconsistent or you've struggled with guilt after missing time with God, I hope this conversation encourages you to stop striving and start enjoying the relationship God is inviting you into. Ep 220 // Why Don't I Feel Close to God Anymore? (And How to Find Him Again)

Have you ever prayed and realized you were just saying words? Or opened your Bible and felt... nothing? If you've been asking yourself "why don't I feel close to God anymore," this episode is for you. In this episode, we talk honestly about spiritual dryness, busy seasons that crowd out our time with God, and the difference between feeling distant from God and actually being distant from Him. You'll walk away with simple, practical steps to reconnect with God — even when life is loud or your faith feels flat. In This Episode, You'll Learn: Why feeling distant from God is not the same as being distant from Him How busyness quietly crowds out closeness with God — without us even noticing What spiritual dryness is, and why even deeply faithful people experience it Four practical steps to start finding your way back to God today Why showing up on the "flat" days matters more than you think Key Takeaway "Distance from God is almost never a locked door. It's usually just an invitation to come back to the quiet, and let Him meet you there." Scripture Referenced Hebrews 13:5 — "I will never leave you nor forsake you." Who This Episode Is For Anyone who has ever felt spiritually numb, distracted, or distant from God — whether from a busy season of life, a long dry spell in prayer, or simple burnout. Ep 219 // Stuck in Survival Mode? Why Busy Christian Moms Miss Peace with God

Do you ever feel like you're not really living — just making it through the day? Between work, school drop-offs, endless to-do lists, and trying to keep up with everyone's needs but your own, it's easy for busyness to pull you into survival mode without you even noticing. In this episode, we talk about why survival mode feels so normal for busy Christian moms, what it actually does to our hearts, and how God invites us to walk with Him — not once life slows down, but right in the middle of it. We look at Isaiah 40:29-31 and what it means to find renewed strength in our weariness instead of waiting for a season that never comes. You'll learn: Why busyness pulls us into "autopilot" instead of away from God What Isaiah 40:29-31 teaches about strength for the weary A simple, practical shift you can make today to move from surviving to walking with Christ Why faithfulness isn't about a perfectly balanced schedule If you've ever said "I'll reconnect with God after this busy season," this episode is for you.
