    96. Ashley Summers Part 1 of 2

    Jamie and Kristy cover Part 1 of the disappearance of 14-year-old Ashley Summers in Cleveland, Ohio, in July 2007. They outline Ashley’s strained home life with her mom Jennifer, her relationship with 16-year-old boyfriend Jean Gill, and how she began staying with great-uncle Kevin after conflict at home. Ashley had previously run away in January 2007. Her last known day is disputed (reports range from July 4–8); she was reportedly seen at a family birthday party on July 4 and said she was walking to Aunt Chris’s house but never arrived. Kevin later claimed a fight occurred and he broke her phone before Ashley packed belongings and left. Jennifer didn’t realize Ashley was missing for days due to family confusion, filed a report July 9, and police initially treated it as a runaway. A month later Jennifer received a brief call from someone she believed was Ashley. Using his digital footprint, they trace him through Martindale to an intersection near Luling where he should have turned toward I-10, but instead continued onto dark rural roads; his phone activity ends around 11:24 PM and his crashed Nissan Altima is found at 12:31 AM. Police later locate Jason’s clothing laid out methodically about 900 feet from the car, plus his backpack containing his wallet, laptop, PlayStation, a deceased fish, and a pill bottle holding eight rolled joints, while his phone is later found wedged in the car. The trooper suggests substance influence and a possible hit-and-run, raising questions about head injury, hypothermia, and investigative gaps.     90. SWAC Gets Serial- Isreal Keyes

    Jamie and Kristy discuss serial killer Israel Keyes, focusing on his crimes and arrest. They cover the February 1, 2012 abduction of 18-year-old Samantha Koenig from an Anchorage coffee stand, her murder, the staged ransom photo taken weeks later, and the disposal of her remains at an ice-fishing lake. They explain how Keyes used Koenig’s debit card across multiple states, leading Texas police to stop him, find ink-stained cash, her ATM card, and her phone, and extradite him to Alaska. Keyes then partially cooperated with investigators, admitting to the June 8, 2011 Vermont murders of Bill and Lorraine Currier and referencing other possible victims, while withholding details. He died by suicide on December 2, 2012, leaving drawings of 11 skulls in blood; the hosts debate how many victims he truly had.
