You got helpful tips, good destinations and cases. What’s not to like I wrote this podcaster and mentioned something about myself that she had a podcast on and she completely ignored what I said and just focused on taking a compliment. It was bizarre and I had to stop listening bc it was so unempathetic.

I appreciate this podcast. The content is interesting and informative. I enjoy learning about the places and cultures in each episode. The stories are sad and the fact that all of them are unresolved is certainly disturbing. I think it would be interesting to also include some cases where the crime is resolved. They still took place in these exotic locations and there was a process to figuring out who killed the vacationer or traveler and how justice was achieved for that person. This would allow for a wider range of cases to be included. if you don't appreciate the hosts voice, I would suggest reading the transcripts of these episodes. It is a great opportunity to learn about other places. She also encourages taking reasonable steps to protect personal safety and to respect cultures and norms in countries other than our own. Rules and laws can be very different in other places and travelers often do not take the time to learn about where they are going and what they might need to consider while traveling there. I don't think this host engages in victim blaming by encouraging travelers to take a certain amount of personal responsibility for reducing risk. Some of these cases are truly mysterious and suggest several possible outcomes, while others are tragic but particular outcomes seem pretty likely, whether that is accident, suicide, or murder. My heart goes out to the families who lose someone who is far from home because they have to travel to an unfamiliar location themselves, when doing so is even possible, to try and find out what happened to someone they care about. they have to navigate the logistical challenges of being in a different country while experiencing tremendous anxiety and distress. This host also encourages those who may be traveling to escape personal issues or even as a symptom of a mental health issue to seek appropriate help, which I also appreciate.

Although the subject matter is often difficult, this is a really great show with a very thoughtful host. Thank you for bringing care to the work!
