Honestly Adam, if you must talk politics (which I’d prefer you didn’t), at least bring on a guest who might disagree with you every once in a while. You’re in an echo chamber bro! I came here years ago for a brave space and have been a loyal listener ever since, but this has become a safe space.
Show some confidence in your own ideas by having on a capable investor guest who can articulate a genuine and effective counter argument to your right wing political takes. Honestly if you can’t ever find guests like that, it’s because you’re not looking, and don’t want to have those challenging, dare I say thoughtful conversations. Your show is poorer for it.
I would say just stay out of politics, but I think you need to express your thoughts, so if you really must, then just do it better. Get out of the echo chamber of mutual back patters who you know agree with you politically, and engage in genuine, good faith debate. What I heard today was just lazy. You Strawmanned the constitution and whipped it with your teammate. Honestly I expect a lot better than that, I’m a little shocked and depressed at how this went down today.
