Gen X on Grief and Losing a Parent

In this deeply personal episode of Gen X Unfiltered, Steve, Kelly and Eric have a conversation about something that eventually touches all of us: loss and grief. Following the recent loss of Kelly's mother, Kelly opens up about what it's like to lose a parent and navigate the emotions, memories and reality that come with it. Steve and Eric join her for an honest, heartfelt conversation about how grief changes us—and how, as Gen X, we're entering a stage of life where losing parents, family members and people we've known for decades is becoming an increasingly difficult part of growing older. We grew up thinking we had plenty of time. Now we're realizing that life is changing—and so are we. This isn't a typical Gen X Unfiltered episode. There are laughs, there are memories, and there are some difficult moments—but most importantly, there's an honest conversation about something many of us are beginning to experience. Gen X is growing up. And with that comes a new chapter of life where grief, loss, aging parents and saying goodbye become realities we can no longer ignore. If you've recently lost someone you love, or you're going through this stage of life yourself, we hope this conversation reminds you that you're not alone. Please feel free to share your own experiences with grief and loss in the comments. ❤️Thanks for listening to Gen X Unfiltered.
