What Do Our Limits Teach Us? Finding God's Mercy and Strength in Psalm 103

Whether they're physical, emotional, or simply the reality of a full season of life, our limitations can quickly become frustrating. They can leave us feeling discouraged, guilty, or wondering why we can't do what we used to. In this episode of Summer Slowdown, Joni opens Psalm 103 and discovers that the answer isn't found in trying harder. It's found in lifting our eyes to a God who knows us completely, remembers our frame, and meets us with compassion. Together, we'll slow down, WRAP ourselves in Psalm 103:14, and discover that our weaknesses don't surprise God. Instead, they become another opportunity to experience His mercy, generosity, and faithful care. When Life is Hard and God is Still Growing Fruit

This summer on WRAP Yourself in the Word, Joni slows the pace with one passage of Scripture, one honest reflection, and one simple way to WRAP yourself in God's Word. In this episode, Joni returns to Psalm 1 and reflects on a prayer she's prayed for years to be like the tree planted by streams of water, deeply rooted in God's Word. In this season, she's recognizing another answered prayer: fruit in season. Sometimes hard seasons and fruitful seasons coexist. Through Psalm 1, Joni explores what it means to delight in God's Word, trust His timing, and recognize the fruit He's growing, even when life still feels heavy. This episode includes a simple WRAP practice through Psalm 1:3 and an invitation to join 100 Days, 100 Verses: A Life Rooted in Truth. Episode 100: The Story Behind WRAP: A Faithful God, One Verse at a Time

Episode 100 is more than a milestone. It's the story of how God faithfully met me through His Word and transformed my life one verse at a time. Years ago, I found myself in a season of deep discouragement, praying one simple prayer from Psalm 1: "Lord, make me like that tree." I had no idea that God would answer that prayer by inviting me into a daily rhythm of writing, reading, applying, and praying His Word. Years later, I looked back and realized He had been teaching me what would become WRAP Yourself in the Word. In this deeply personal episode, I share the origin of WRAP, the lessons God has taught me over the last one hundred episodes, and why I believe His Word remains the place where discouraged hearts find hope, minds are renewed, lies are exposed, and lives are transformed. To celebrate this milestone, I'm also inviting you to join me for 100 Days. 100 Verses. A Life Rooted in Truth. Together, we'll spend the next 100 days meeting God in His Word, one verse at a time. If you've ever wondered where to begin, struggled to stay consistent in Scripture, or simply longed to know God more deeply, this episode is for you. Helping women meet God in His Word so they can live Christ-centered lives in a self-focused world.   Key Takeaways -  [0:00:03] From Milestone to God's Faithfulness [0:02:30] Praying to Become the Tree of Psalm 1 [0:05:36] From Writing One Verse to Living Scripture [0:08:40] Surrender, Repentance, and a Restored Calling [0:11:05] Birth of the WRAP Method (Write, Read, Apply, Pray) [0:13:45] Scripture as Daily Meeting Place with God [0:16:53] Impact on Listeners and Staying the Course [0:19:40] Invitation to 100 Days, 100 Verses Journey [0:22:37] Deep Roots Before Fruit and a Lifelong Mission LINKS    Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/wisdomfortheweakdays  Website https://www.jonirosebrock.com 90 Day Scripture Writing Plan Verses (jonirosebrock.com) Buy the Book https://a.co/d/70Tzc6J
