Not that it's a particularly important number...I'm just grateful to have all you baddies here 3 Being understood is bloody exhausting. It's also a way we get emotional safety, because we've been brainwashed to believe that our truth is only valid if others understand and accept it. What a load of baloney. In this episode, we're throwing out this rotten baloney by discussing: How being understood is a fear-based responseWhy the patriarchy benefits from our compulsion to feel understood How this damages people's perception of us & makes them respect us less5 ways to unlearn this compulsionThe patriarchy loophole we can exploit when we stop trying to be understood ✨Hope you love it and can use this law to make your dreams come true. You are the baddest bitch in the building. Love, Neeki __________ 🎙️ About the podcast: The patriarchy is starting to crumble, but sadly it probably won't be fully dismantled in our lifetime. That when we grow up, we have to find Mr. Right and marry him for love. And if we don't marry for love, we're shallow, demanding, gold diggers. The real gold diggers are men who sell the myth of romantic love, because they have nothing else to offer. In this episode, we'll map out romantic love to the 4 rungs of the marketing funnel (awareness, consideration, conversion, loyalty) and discuss how love has been used as a recruitment strategy by the patriarchy. __________ 🎙️ About the podcast: The patriarchy is starting to crumble, but sadly it probably won't be fully dismantled in our lifetime. Free preview available here. You won't believe what I'm about to tell you. Women don't have a "biological clock." That term was coined by journalist Richard Cohen in his misogynistic 1978 article "The Clock Is Ticking For The Career Woman." This article hits the two Ps (pseudoscience and patriarchy) and does what these silly Ps do best: rush women into motherhood and shame them for prioritizing their careers. In the words of Kesha, "Tik tok on the clock but the party don't stop." Because for women, the party truly doesn't stop. That's why humans are one of the only mammals with menopause. In fact, research is finding that MEN have a biological clock, and it begins ticking around age 35.
