Shadow Of The Man

THAT Andi

This is a show about how Burning Man has impacted people, places, and things over time. It is a twice monthly long form interview show with a guest who is invited to tell their story. All of the guests have a history with Burning Man with some going back to beyond the beginning. Shadow Of The Man showcases our guests and allows them to tell their stories in the manner they want and how they see fit to tell it. These are genuine unedited conversations with movers and shakers as well as burners not many have ever heard of. If you are curious about not just what the hell all these people are doing way out in the desert but why they keep coming back year after year, this is the show for you. #burningman #blackrockcity #burningmanpodcast

A friend had finally convinced her to go and gifted her a ticket and helped out with the complicated cross-country logistics. After experiencing Burning Man for the first time she decided to start the Black Burner Project to help share stories of Black burners on the playa with the intention of increasing diversity on the playa. Her 2nd year she camped with Camp Happy Hour and got the seed of an idea. She set up the first ever group photo of Black burners on the playa by word of mouth and a few dozen showed up to her surprise. She did the group photo again the next year in 2019 and hundreds of Black burners showed up. In 2022 she brought her first art piece, a collaboration where they erected two 30 foot portraits she had taken of Black burners. She has also conducted a number of interviews that are available on her website (link below) and she has also collaborated on some other playa art projects.
