Transoid News HHS and DOJ are targeting pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, and providers over alleged fraudulent billing connected to transoid treatments for minors. HHS released “Wolves in White Coats,” accusing parts of the gender-medicine industry of creating a continuous revenue stream by making otherwise healthy young people dependent on lifelong medical treatment. Texas Children's Hospitals reached a major settlement and admitted to violating the law over banned treatments. Thank you, Ken Paxton. WPATH's own statements appear to show that avoiding scientific evidence was partly about protecting its policy and legal position. Evil and stupid join forces in New Beirut. Economic News Manufacturing has surged to a four-year high, with manufacturing and construction employment also rising. Katie Hobbs now faces a "pay-to-play" investigation while Andy Biggs mounts a strong Republican challenge. Seth Keshel's latest voter-registration data shows a slog: GOP gains have largely stalled, but DemoKKKrats aren't making much ground either. FL remains a major Republican bright spot. NH Republicans gained roughly 4,000 net registrations. NC DemoKKKrats regained about 3,000 active voters. AZ Republicans now lead by roughly 313,000. NV's Democrat lead has shrunk to only 1,800. PA's Democrat active-voter advantage has fallen to roughly 25,000, down about 100,000 since November 2024. DemoKKKrats are currently lagging their 2022 midterm registration numbers in FL. Louisiana's Senate passed a redistricting plan expected to give Republicans two additional seats, while South Carolina is moving toward its own redistricting session. The DemoKKKrat civil war is increasingly becoming one battle between establishment DemoKKKrats and the DSA/socialist faction. Rahm Emmanuel called the DSA message politically losing. Michael LaRosa and other former DemoKKKrat insiders are distancing themselves from Abdul El-Sayed. Former DNC fundraiser Lindy Li is highlighting the party's money problems. Larry highlights the Lincoln Project as an example of an anti-Trump Republican organization that raised $90 million without moving the political needle. Two Florida men settled a parking-lot dispute with a hatchet and machete. Old-timey weapons are apparently making a comeback. AI Jeff Bridges says AI could eventually leave him out of a gig by replicating his likeness. Chy-na's supposed AI breakthrough is already being questioned. Private-sector employment is reportedly at its highest level ever according to the Fed. Trump announced $180 million in mining grants to strengthen U.S. supply chains and counter Chy-na. Mike Rowe highlighted electricians working on AI infrastructure in Texas earning around $240,000, showing the opportunities outside traditional college paths. The bigger question is whether Gen Z will move to where the jobs are, as previous generations did. The U.S. trade deficit plunged by $100 billion, reaching its lowest level in roughly 20 years. International A German teacher described the country's public-school system as a living hell. Germany's auto industry is struggling badly, with Larry warning that Chinese joint ventures allowed Chy-na to acquire German technology and undercut German manufacturers. Chy-na is developing "dual-use" asteroid-defense technology that could potentially have military applications. Steve Turley argues that educated French Muslims are increasingly leaving France, with estimates of roughly 200,000 departures. Germany's AfD has reportedly opened a 20-point lead ahead of elections, though Larry remains skeptical of polls. Entertainment NBA legend Don Nelson, the league's second-winningest coach, died at 86. Political Trump signed an executive order targeting birthright citizenship and birth tourism, setting up another likely Supreme Court fight. The Supes also closed a procedural loophole frequently used against the Trump administration. A Senate panel voted to hold Dr. Fallacy in contempt. His COVID-era phone has also produced potentially millions of additional documents. Ken Paxton reportedly leads the GOP in fundraising despite claims that he is politically vulnerable. DOJ requested dismissal of cases against eight Oath Keepers connected to January 6. Pollsters badly missed Michigan's Senate primary, with Scott Rasmussen attributing the error partly to differences in who answers polling calls. A federal judge in a high-profile LSU rape case reportedly has a family connection to a convicted serial rapist. AI Alphabet is borrowing another $20-$25 billion as AI development continues burning through enormous amounts of cash. Data-center water and electricity demands are legitimate concerns, but Larry argues the debate should focus on enabling AI infrastructure without raising utility costs or sacrificing resources while competing with Chy-na. A Chicago funeral home was found with 57 decomposing bodies. Immigration / Crime The Trump administration says it has located more than 148,000 missing children out of roughly 470,000 brought into the country under Rutabaga. Several migrant advocacy organizations were removed from the program, with a Houston legal organization instead contracted to help migrant children return home. The administration continues framing the issue around both immigration enforcement and protecting vulnerable children. Cultural A Long Island PTA mother admitted stealing $14,000 to spend on Lululemon. Seattle's new $165 million library is reportedly overwhelmed by drug users. Transoid A federal appeals court ruled that Maine schools receiving federal funding must follow federal sex and gender requirements. Economic Employers are hiring fewer workers but offering higher pay. DoorDash delivery drones are apparently becoming a thing. Humanity has reached another milestone. Las Vegas is doing better than the "Vegas is dying" narrative suggests: the labor force is up 1.2% and unemployment has fallen more than 2%, although foreclosures and default notices are rising. Europe is suffering a severe drought, with the Danube falling low enough to expose WWII-era warship wrecks. A Cambridge professor hired through a DSI program resigned amid plagiarism allegations. Entertainment Halo executives admitted they hired people who disliked the franchise, helping explain why the reboot struggled to match the original. The WTA has introduced sex testing while the WNBA has not, with Larry highlighting Sophie Cunningham as one of the few women's basketball figures publicly opposing biological males in women's sports. Medical A new study reportedly links daily Diet Coke consumption with cognitive decline. Larry notes he drinks A&W Diet Root Beer instead. RFK Jr. decertified a Kentucky organ-harvesting organization accused of removing organs before all signs of life had disappeared. The Dr. Fallacy controversy continues escalating, with even mainstream outlets warning that turning him into a public-health villain could have lasting consequences. And Finally The closing joke has J.D. Vance discovering Trump and Muy Macho Marco are discussing deporting three million liberal white women and four beagles. Vance asks what the beagles did. Rubio's punchline: "See. Told you no one would care about the women." TODAY'S NEWS, August 4-5, 2026

Political Abdul El-Sayed narrowly won Michigan's DemoKKKrat Senate primary, with NBC calling the race, setting up what Larry sees as a favorable matchup for Republican Mike Rogers. Pollsters badly missed the Michigan result, with El-Sayed reportedly polling 10 points ahead but winning by less than one. Cori Bush's primary loss and El-Sayed's narrow win suggest the DemoKKKrat establishment is regaining some control, but the radical wing remains strong. Trump-hating Rep. Shri Thanedar also lost his primary. New Hampshire voter-roll maintenance produced another 4,000-net Republican gain, while independents declined by roughly 25,000. FBI Director Kash Patel says the bureau prevented more than 700 terror attacks last year. Trump created a Military Spouse Commission focused on improving support for military families. Public resistance to mass surveillance cameras is growing, with hundreds of Flock cameras facing opposition and all eight cameras in Winona, Minnesota reportedly stolen or destroyed. AI AI skills are increasingly being valued above traditional MBA credentials, adding another reason Larry questions the value of conventional college. AI data-center investment continues to grow rapidly. Chy-na's DeepSeek is reportedly operating faster and dramatically cheaper than competing AI systems. AI may be rewriting jobs rather than simply replacing them, changing the skills workers need. Immigration / Crime DOJ launched what it calls its largest-ever denaturalization effort, with 25 cases in two weeks. A federal court upheld the ability of ICE agents and federal law enforcement to wear masks, rejecting New Kabul's challenge. ICE arrested more than 51,000 people in July, an annualized pace of roughly 612,000. Rutabaga's former COVID czar now acknowledges that the China Virus likely originated from a laboratory leak. A prominent microbiologist says Fauci and his allies have "lost control of the narrative."
