Everything’s Perfect Except...You’re Showing Too Much

Donald grew up in a church that banned dancing at weddings. Now he’s taking Autumn to a burlesque show for her birthday. Growth. 😂 What starts as a conversation about burlesque, confidence, and celebrating the female body quickly turns into something much bigger when a listener writes in asking how to stop hiding her body after a lifetime of judgment. Autumn opens up about learning to celebrate her body instead of apologizing for it, including getting breast implants in her late 20s, the infamous Summit dress nipple controversy, and the internet comments that somehow still make women’s bodies everyone else’s business. From there, Autumn and Donald get into all of it: sports bras versus bikinis, camel toe, gray sweatpants, nude beaches, religious modesty, women shaming other women, and why men are so often treated like they have zero responsibility for controlling their own thoughts. Autumn also shares a very real conversation she had with Dom about attraction, biology, and personal responsibility — plus the reaction she got when she showed up to dinner in a see-through tuxedo shirt. The takeaway? People are going to have something to say no matter what you wear, so you might as well wear what makes you feel good. Funny, honest, slightly unhinged, and weirdly freeing. 🎙 IN THIS EPISODE 0:00 — Donald’s church banned dancing at weddings. Everything’s Perfect Except… She Kept Going

Autumn is officially 46, and this year, she did something completely different: no big celebration, no expectations, no pressure. Just flowers, breakfast with Dom, a full workday, and gelato. And honestly? She might be onto something. But the peaceful birthday energy ends pretty quickly when a listener’s Phone a Friend email sends Autumn and Donald straight into one of their wildest debates yet: the HYROX athlete in Beijing who soiled herself during the race... and kept going. Would you stop? Should HYROX officials have stopped her? And at what point does pushing through stop being impressive and start becoming a health and sanitation issue? Autumn and Donald break down the entire situation, including the athlete’s public apology, the shared HYROX equipment, HYROX requiring men to wear shirts because of sweat, and whether race officials should have stepped in. Naturally, that opens the door to stories nobody asked for. Donald reveals his former career as a spray tan technician after approximately one day of training. Autumn remembers nearly blacking out during a HYROX sled push at 11:30 at night. They debate David Goggins, marathon bathroom emergencies, wetsuit etiquette, the old Beachbody “if you puke, we cut” rule, and whether there’s ever a point where proving you can finish just isn’t worth it anymore. Then things somehow get even more personal. Autumn confesses to an emergency coffee-cup situation during a Vegas road trip. Donald counters with a Starbucks jar in an Amazon parking lot. Nell narrowly avoids having her own HYROX moment. Donald explains why wet wipes are non-negotiable — and admits he used to completely disrobe to use the bathroom. And finally: airplane bathrooms, Autumn’s nightmare JetBlue seat beside the lavatory, private planes, tour-bus bathroom rules, and the eternal question... Why are men and women so different when it comes to bathroom habits? It’s unfiltered, inappropriate, weirdly educational, and exactly the kind of conversation Autumn and Donald somehow always end up having. 🎙 Key Topics with Timestamps 00:00 — Hot take: the HYROX Beijing incident 00:46 — Autumn turns 46 — zero drama 01:48 — Not every birthday needs to be a thing 02:56 — Donald admits he’s terrible with birthdays 04:35 — Phone a Friend: the email that started it all 06:15 — Would you quit mid-race or push through? 07:27 — Periods, marathons & shared HYROX stations 07:55 — Donald: “I’ve shit myself more than I care to admit” 08:50 — Shared equipment & the sanitary nightmare 13:33 — HYROX made men wear shirts for sweat... but let her keep going? 14:35 — Christina Aguilera at Etta James’ funeral: what was on her legs? 16:00 — Donald was a spray tan technician... with one day of training 18:43 — Are we pushing too hard? Everything’s Perfect Except… Donald Wants His Nipples Pierced

Donald is apparently entering his midlife crisis era, and his first order of business might be… nipple piercings. Autumn votes absolutely not. From there, Autumn and Donald break down the 2026 trends they’re seeing everywhere — including the death of quiet luxury, the return of early-2000s fashion they already survived once, capris and pedal pushers making an unexpected comeback, polka dots spotted in the wild at Catch LA, texture replacing logos, and the loafers-with-athletic-shorts look Donald cannot stop thinking about. They also revisit some of their own questionable fashion eras: Donald’s brightly colored skinny jeans from his Anthem Lights touring days, Autumn’s unforgettable sixth-grade back-to-school outfit, Hot Topic stage clothes that looked much better under concert lighting, bricked bangs, Aqua Net, Von Dutch, overalls, and the eternal question of whether you’re actually cool enough to pull off a trend. Donald opens up about how changing his body has changed the way he dresses, why a few guys at Planet Fitness inspired a hair transformation, and why sometimes the best style advice is simply to stop dressing for everyone else. Then they move into the 2026 food and drink trends: mini everything, tiny indulgences, tasting-size desserts, luxury versions of nostalgic childhood treats, gourmet Pop-Tarts, premium s’mores, personalized drink rituals — and Donald may have accidentally come up with a Good Mood Brew collab idea in the process. And naturally, things eventually go completely off the rails. Nipple piercings lead to Prince Alberts, Jacob’s Ladders, Autumn’s college tongue piercing and the ballet master who was less than impressed, Donald’s septum piercing repeatedly hitting his gums while singing at church, nose piercings that seem to heal over in five minutes, and Kenny branding himself with a hot penny because he thought the president’s face would appear on his skin. It did not. Just another perfectly normal episode of Everything’s Perfect. 🎙 KEY TOPICS + TIMESTAMPS 0:00 — Donald’s midlife crisis era: Should he pierce his nipples? 1:00 — Dinner at Catch LA and dogs in suits holding martinis 2:24 — Early-2000s fashion is officially back 3:45 — Donald’s overalls and the 21 Jump Street rule for being cool 4:41 — Why Donald changed his hair after watching guys at Planet Fitness 7:59 — Autumn’s style: athletic wear, Good Mood Brew, and the Denver outfit 9:15 — Donald’s evolution from loud jewelry to classic and clean 11:22 — Is quiet luxury officially dead? 12:58 — Dress for yourself instead of trying to fit in 13:26 — How Donald’s body transformation changed the way he dresses 14:00 — Capris, pedal pushers, and cropped trousers are coming back 15:53 — Trends they absolutely refuse to wear: skinny jeans, Von Dutch & more 18:38 — Head-to-toe polka dots spotted at Catch LA 21:30 — Creative layering and turning dresses into skirts 23:10 — Texture over logos: fuzzy, furry, shiny and very Clueless 25:20 — Loafers + athletic shorts + button-downs: somehow it works 28:38 — Autumn’s sixth-grade back-to-school outfit vs. the tie-dye culotte girls 32:56 — Bricked bangs, Aqua Net, and the hairstyles nobody needs back 36:14 — Beauty trends: blue mascara, bitten lips, and Italian bobs 39:28 — Food trends: mini everything, tiny desserts, and tasting portions 43:30 — Premium nostalgia: luxury s’mores and gourmet Pop-Tarts 46:39 — The piercing conversation goes completely off the rails 50:13 — Autumn’s tongue-piercing story: Listerine, the clamp, and ballet class 53:50 — Nose-piercing nightmares + final thoughts 🏋️ WORK WITH DONALD Looking for one-on-one health and wellness coaching that goes beyond a food journal? Everything’s Perfect Except… You Banned My Kid’s Oreos

It started with one message in a kindergarten group chat: Ava can’t have Oreos. No allergy. No explanation. Just… no Oreos. Naturally, the internet lost its mind. Moms started sending Oreos to school on purpose. Celebrities showed up in the comments. News outlets started calling. The group texts became songs. And two five-year-olds apparently organized a relay race so the winner could claim an Oreo fair and square. Meanwhile, Michelle still has no idea the internet knows her name. But Oreo Gate opens up a much bigger conversation: Where is the line between making choices for your own child and expecting everyone else to follow those choices too? From there, things go exactly where you’d expect an Everything’s Perfect episode to go—which is absolutely nowhere predictable. Donald tells the story of his mom wiping Trader Joe’s body butter off him at her front door with flushable wipes. Autumn explains why she can practically feel Tide laundry detergent through her skin. There’s a sucker physically yanked from a child’s mouth at church, Girl Scout cookie rankings, childhood dinner confessions, and a powerful conversation about a 21 Day Fix member who spent years hoarding food after growing up in foster care with a padlocked refrigerator. Oh, and Oreo Thins vs. Double Stuf gets debated too. Because obviously. 🎙 KEY TOPICS + TIMESTAMPS 0:00 — Oreo Gate: the mom with the mystery Oreo ban 🍪 1:00 — The full breakdown begins: Who is Michelle? 2:00 — Ava can’t have Oreos…but WHY? 3:45 — Moms start sending Oreos on purpose. We lost a legend. ❤️ This week, Autumn and Donald celebrate Dolly Parton. They celebrate her humor, her confidence, her generosity, her music, and the life lessons she left behind. Autumn and Donald dive into the stories that made them love her even more: Dolly’s Imagination Library, her thoughts on marriage and motherhood, that unforgettable Barbara Walters interview, and yes... the time Dolly entered a Dolly Parton drag lookalike contest and LOST😂 Plus, before the Dolly conversation begins: Good Mood Brew, Blue Zones, Sardinia, goat herders, and Autumn’s very reasonable request that someone simply find her a man. Everything’s Perfect Except... Nothing About This Case Adds Up

⚠️ TRIGGER WARNING: This episode discusses the Lindsay Clancy case in detail, including child loss, postpartum psychosis, self-harm, and suicide. Autumn and Donald are sharing their personal opinions based on publicly available information. They are not attorneys or medical professionals. This week, there’s no Phone a Friend. Autumn and Donald sit down to unpack the Lindsay Clancy trial, the evidence that raised questions for them, and the details they believe deserve a closer look. They discuss the reported timeline, Lindsay’s body temperature, medication found in her system, the crushed pills reportedly discovered in a cup, surveillance footage from Patrick’s errands, and testimony that left both of them with more questions than answers. But this episode becomes about something much bigger than one case. Autumn and Donald also talk about postpartum mental health, psychosis, the pressure placed on new mothers, and what happens when a woman is actively asking for help but still isn’t getting the support she needs. 💌 We Want to Hear From You Where do you land on the Lindsay Clancy case? Everything’s Perfect Except… Maybe You Should Quit

Follow us for more health advice: drink water and hide your feet unless somebody’s paying extra. 😂 This week, Autumn and Donald are talking about quitting culture— and whether quitting is actually always the bad thing we’ve been taught it is. Because there’s a BIG difference between giving up the second something gets uncomfortable… and realizing that a relationship, job, workout, friendship, lifestyle, or version of yourself simply isn’t working anymore. And sometimes? Staying is actually the bigger form of quitting. 🎧 Summary Someone suggested Autumn and Donald bring an expert onto the podcast to discuss why younger generations supposedly “quit everything.” Their response? F**k an expert. Let’s talk about it. 😂 And it turns into a much bigger conversation than expected. When does quitting mean you lack discipline — and when does walking away mean you’re finally being honest with yourself? Autumn talks about the rule she gave Dom growing up: if you join the team, you finish the season. You don’t walk away halfway through when other people are depending on you. But once that commitment is fulfilled? You absolutely get to decide it isn’t for you anymore. That opens the door to relationships. Why can you date ten people and nobody calls you a quitter when those relationships end… but the second a marriage ends, suddenly someone “gave up”? They talk about the uncomfortable reality that sometimes staying in the wrong relationship, job, friendship, or life situation means you’ve actually quit pursuing the life you want. But there’s another side to it. Sometimes things are just hard. Three days into a nutrition plan does not mean it “isn’t aligned.” Wednesday of your first week of workouts might not be the moment to decide it isn’t for you. And being uncomfortable doesn’t automatically mean something is toxic. Sometimes you need to stick around long enough to get good at the thing before you get to experience the joy of overcoming it. They get into paying your dues, Autumn wanting to back out of HYROX after already committing, changing workout programs without abandoning fitness altogether, Donald’s decision to stop being vegan after realizing part of the reason he stayed was because of what other people might think, and why a commitment involving other people carries a different weight than one you made only to yourself. And then… **boundaries enter the chat.** 👀 Both Autumn and Donald believe in boundaries. They also think we may have reached a point where some people use the word *boundary* to avoid conflict, uncomfortable conversations, responsibility, or anything they simply don’t want to do. Donald brings up a recent friendship that still hasn’t recovered months after a disagreement — which leads to a surprisingly nuanced conversation about the difference between setting a genuine boundary and trying to control the entire situation by labeling everything that makes you uncomfortable as one. So… when should you quit? When should you stay? How long do you have to give something a chance before you can honestly say, *“I tried this, and it’s not for me”*? And maybe the better question isn’'t "Am I quitting?” Maybe it’s: “What exactly did I commit to — and am I still honoring that commitment by staying?” This one might make you rethink a few things you’ve walked away from… and a few things you’re still holding onto.

    Everything’s Perfect Except… We’re Having a Midlife Crisis

No Phone a Friend this week. Just a real conversation about midlife, purpose, and what happens when the decade that defined you quietly ends. Donald admits live on air that he might be having a midlife crisis…and Autumn realizes she may be right there with him. What follows is one of their most honest conversations yet: the end of the Beachbody era, losing the version of life where 20,000 people knew your name, rebuilding your identity when the thing that defined you changes, and wondering whether this chapter is “starting over” or actually a rebirth. They get into the weird post-pandemic feeling that never completely went away, social media turning from something fun into a full-time production studio, doom-scrolling instead of doing the uncomfortable thing, and comparing yourself to people whose entire job is making their life look effortless. Donald talks about being 20+ programs deep and suddenly going blank while cueing workouts, wondering if he’s already said everything there is to say. Autumn shares the moment ChatGPT stopped helping her write beverage copy long enough to basically ask, “Where is the joy in your life?” — and yes, apparently the answer included buying herself flowers. Oh, and before any of this, Autumn unloaded 2,200 pounds of beverage cans from a semi-truck at 8:30 in the morning, with no ramp, in full hair and makeup, while setting up a tripod to film the whole thing. Because entrepreneur life.  Maybe it’s a midlife crisis. Maybe it’s burnout. Maybe it’s realizing that the life you worked so hard to build isn’t supposed to stay exactly the same forever. Or maybe it’s a rebirth. 🎙 TIMESTAMPS 0:00 — 2,200 lbs of cans. No ramp. Full makeup.
