    Robin Dunne (A Very Arctic Christmas

    A Christmas cruise, a missed ship, and a dad who has to let go of the plan. Robin Dunne, who co-wrote and directed the film, joins me to talk A VERY ARCTIC CHRISTMAS, starring Cameron Mathison, Jill Wagner and Maya Rose Skabar, premiering Saturday, October 31 at 8/7c on Great American Family and streaming now on Great American Pure Flix.We start with where the idea came from. Robin talks about why the Arctic, how Cameron Mathison's real-life travels with his kids found their way into the script, and the moments from Cameron's life he knew he had to include.Then the heart of the movie: Jim and Isla. Robin talks about writing a father and daughter who are incredibly close, even as Isla grows up and becomes more independent, and what was fun about taking every bit of control away from Jim, a former ballplayer turned broadcaster who has everything planned right down to his Christmas Eve show in Times Square.Then the fun stuff. A CHRISTMAS PRAYER won the Movieguide Epiphany Prize, and now the story continues in A CHRISTMAS PRAYER TRADITION, premiering Saturday, October 24 at 8/7c on Great American Family, with an early stream starting Thursday, October 22 on Great American Pure Flix.We start with the recognition. Shae talks about what the Epiphany Prize meant to her personally, and what she took from the first movie that needed to be in Natalie’s next chapter.Shae talks about where we find Natalie emotionally when the sequel begins, what launching her first children’s book means for her sense of purpose, and how Natalie and Wes’s relationship has grown.Then the new story.     Kevin McGarry is back on Heart in Motion, fresh off a busy weekend at Hearties Family Reunion, and we have a lot to catch up on. Since our last sit-down in March 2025, we've crossed paths at the Hallmark Christmas Cruise and the Hallmark Christmas Experience in Kansas City. This time we're talking about his new Hallmark movie, THE SPIRIT OF HALLOWEEN.The movie is a spooky, second-chance romance twist on A Christmas Carol. Bridal designer Everly Stone (Meghan Ory) has wanted nothing to do with Halloween since an old heartbreak at the town's fire-station party. When her late mentor delivers a warning, three mischievous spirits take her through one unforgettable night that could help her heal and reconnect with her past, and with her longtime friend Beau Madison.Kevin talks about playing Beau, the friend who hasn't gotten the girl yet but leaves no doubt about how he feels, and what makes Beau tick. He explains Everly's hesitation to give anything a chance, how he and Meghan built their connection, and how the movie balances goofy Halloween comedy with real heartfelt moments.
