Can OU football land the top running back in the 2028 class?

When's the last time two brothers found success at the University of Oklahoma at the same time? Well, right now, in the form of Eli and Peyton Bowen. The Sooners will have two more brothers coming to campus: Dawson and David Jacobs. How likely is it that they can land the brothers? Zaiden Jernigan has turned plenty of heads down in Mississippi as one of the top running backs in the 2028 class. Does Oklahoma have a real chance? Or are they chasing another college football blue blood? While he may be one of the top running backs. OU also finds itself in the race for THE top running back in the 2028 cycle in Jayshawn Mitchell. Can the Sooners land the number 1 running back for the first time since Taylor Tatum? A 4-star edge rusher from the state of Alabama has caught the eyes of the OU staff. Where are things with Keoni Snipes? Plus, some of the most impressive film you will see: take a look at Keaton Fields. That is a guy who would be welcome on any roster. Finally, we head over to Delaware as 4-star defensive lineman Brynnen Thompson has emerged as a top 200 player in the 2028 cycle. Did the Wildcats win on the field make that even more of a possibility? Josh took a trip to Alabama to see OU QB commit Jamison Roberts, who had a monster performance. Hear what the 2027 QB had to say. He also had the chance to see OU safety commit Jaylen Scott, who compares himself to none other than current Oklahoma safety Michael Boganowski. Has momentum shifted for OU football recruiting after beating Texas?

While it certainly feels like momentum has shifted for the Sooners in the 2026 season after a huge win in the Red River Rivalry, has that momentum also made its way to the recruiting ranks? Oklahoma is still in a battle for 5-star defensive lineman Kellan Hall; where does his recruitment stand? 5-star OU commit Seneca Driver is still locked in with the Sooners, but is Kentucky starting to make an impression on the in-state talent? Could this weekend's matchup have a lot more riding on it than originally anticipated? Graydon Reid is another name OU fans should get familiar with as they find themselves in another recruiting battle with Kentucky, as well as Texas. Finally, Oklahoma has their eyes on two teammates from Southlake Carroll. With Luke Wilson already on board, can the Sooners also flip his teammate Brody Knowles? OU football commits put up huge numbers across the country

In a week in which the Sooners need big performances in the Cotton Bowl, a few future Sooners put up huge numbers themselves in the high school football scene. Josh went down to see Hutto Hippo, and 2027 Oklahoma safety commit Jaiden Fields had a monster game with 7 touchdowns. He may be a defensive pledge, but could we see him on the offensive side of the ball when he gets to Norman? Parker also saw his fair share of big games, starting with 2027 linebacker commit Cooper Witten, who was all over the field, totaling 20 tackles and 2 touchdowns. Finally, a trip up to New Jersey to see 2028 OU quarterback commit Trey Tagliaferri in what may be one of the best high school football games of the year. OU football holding recruiting together but we see some cracks

Josh and Parker join up again this week after both have been out and about seeing recruits and are about to be out and about once again. Look, the sky isn't falling on the recruiting trail. But an ugly loss to Georgia and a struggling offense, falling out of the rankings, fans up in arms... Not a great environment right now. And it appears at least one major recruit that was once thought to be a Sooner lean is being affected by the start of the season. The boys break it all down, as well as a recent trip to see Carson LaCombe and recent OU offers Reagen Smith and Tylan Henderson near Samaje Perine's old stomping grounds, Pflugerville, Texas. Oh and did you see Seneca Driver's body slam? We did too. And we're gonna talk about it. Also, Kamieon Compton-Nero has released his top 5. We hit on that to begin. Learn more about your ad choices. Momentum builds for OU Football after a big week of commitments

A sour week for OU Football fans finally has something to be proud of. The Sooners landed 2028 4-star linebacker Jay Schell along with 2028 receiver Colton Fitzgibbon. Josh took a trip to see offensive lineman Isaac Coughran and had the chance to speak with the 2027 Oklahoma commit. Parker had the chance to see another 2027 offensive line commit Tyson Ross who moves defenders, and works on his footwork over on the tennis court. Oklahoma is looking toward some defensive lineman and while you are probably well familiar with Kellan Hall, get used to the names Cassell Cruikshank and Cash Mathis. Finally, can Jason Witten looks to continue his recruiting success as the Sooners look toward 2029 tight end Noah Tarrant. All that and more on this edition of the Recruiting Report. Can the Sooners keep up the momentum after landing Connor Arant?

A dark week for Sooner fans did have a little bit of light after Oklahoma landed Bixby Tight End Connor Arant. While in Michigan, Parker took the trip to see 4-star Texas Tech commit Gideon Gash. Does OU have a real shot to flip? Josh went to see a couple of 2027 OU commits: running back Jakoby Dixon and cornerback Trenton Blaylock. Blaylock wasn't the only guy worth noting from Atascocita, as 2028 edge David Dotson (6'6 240 lbs btw) turned plenty of heads. Finally, can Oklahoma lock down another commitment this weekend when Kenyon Sweat takes his visit? I guess you'll have to stick around to find out. OU football commits making noise all over the region

Who will be a future playmaker for the Sooners? On this edition of the Recruiting Report we highlight some potential future Sooners along with current OU commits. Josh went to catch up with Oklahoma running back commit Keldrid Ben who had plenty to say about his relationship with the OU staff. We then see what the two wide receiver commits of the 2027 class are up to in Malahn Green and Greydon Howell. Plus, can OU really go into the state of Alabama and steal a receiver(he is 6'3 btw). Finally we finish this one off by checking in with Owasso star Kamieon Compton-Nero. Also, watch Josh mute his mic as we decide to leave the blooper in for his embarrassment.
