F**k the Niche: You Are the Brand

“To niche or not to niche?” It’s one of the loudest questions in the business world, and also one of the most misunderstood. In this episode, we’re talking about a truth that doesn’t get enough airtime: Not everyone is meant to build the same kind of business. Some people thrive with structure, specificity, and clear lanes. But others are here to have fun, follow desire, and get paid doing what lights you up. If you’ve ever felt boxed in by niche advice, if you’ve tried to “clarify your message” and somehow felt more disconnected, and if you secretly know you’re built differently but haven’t fully owned it yet – This episode is for you. We’ll explore why your desires aren’t random, why joy is a valid business strategy for certain people, and what shifts when you realize You are the niche. In This Episode, We Cover: ⭐️ Why niche advice works beautifully for some people, and not at all for others  ⭐️ Why wanting more fun, freedom, and joy isn’t “normal”  ⭐️ What changes when you stop trying to niche down and start owning your desires (because desire is a calling, not something you need to justify)  ⭐️ How talking to your people becomes effortless when you claim the life you want When you claim your desires and lead from that place, the people who are just like you will hear you – and they’ll know you’re speaking directly to them. 👉 Come into The Expansion Room for only $27 at jenliss.com/expansion 👉 Join me in person on island of St. Martin at the Island Awakening Luxury Retreat: jenliss.com/island If you loved this episode, make sure to: Follow the podcast on your favorite app so you never miss an episode. Why Tiny Wins Matter More Than You Think

Not all growth is loud, viral, or immediately visible, and that does not mean it is not working. In this episode of F**k Around & Get Paid, I explore why the smallest steps we take matter more than we think. From skills we have quietly developed to creations that did not seem to go anywhere at the time, nothing we have done was wasted. I share how we can reframe our progress using the concept of the Lego Business, and how to recognize the invisible wins that are actively building our confidence, capacity, and next level in life and business. ✨ Small growth is still growth.  ✨ Quiet wins still count.  ✨ Intuition-led action always leaves value behind. In This Episode, We Cover ⭐ Why progress often looks smaller than it actually is ⭐ The Lego Business concept and how every creation becomes a meaningful building block ⭐ Why we do not need to see the full vision for our actions to matter ⭐ How intuitive action supports business growth, confidence, and future opportunities  ⭐ A powerful reframe for things we once thought were failures  ⭐ How to recognize the hidden value in what we have already created Reflection Questions (Download the worksheet version of these questions: jenliss.com/bonus What has shifted for you in the last six months, even if it feels small? What skills have I learned? Where have you stretched yourself, even if it's a small stretch? What have we created that still exists, even if it did not take off? What small win actually changed us? 👉 Come into The Expansion Room for only $27 at jenliss.com/expansion 👉 Join me in person on island of St. Martin at the Island Awakening Luxury Retreat: jenliss.com/island If you loved this episode, make sure to: Follow the podcast on your favorite app so you never miss an episode. Stop Waiting to Be Ready: Visibility Secrets for Women in Business

There’s a reason so many people feel called to share their work, and yet keep waiting to be “ready.” It’s not because they lack talent. And it’s not because they don’t want it badly enough. It’s because we were taught that visibility comes after confidence, clarity, and polish - when in reality, those things are built through being seen. In this episode, I’m unpacking why trying things is essential in 2026, how visibility actually works now, and why the people who get seen aren’t the most prepared -they’re the most willing to try. We start with a story about an old, awkward video of Post Malone singing before he was famous, and why the fact that this video still exists matters. Progression requires visibility. And most people never let themselves have a “before.” This conversation is about the fear that keeps us stuck: the fear of being judged, being weird, doing it wrong, or not getting it right the first time, and why that fear is the exact thing every successful entrepreneur, artist, and leader has learned to move through. Authenticity isn’t something you access before you act. It’s something that emerges because you act. If you’ve ever felt like: You know you’re meant to share something, but keep waiting for confidenceYou’re afraid of being seen in the messy middleYou worry that trying and failing will mean something about youYou feel pressure to sound polished instead of realYou want to be visible without betraying yourselfThis episode is for you. In this episode, we explore: Why confidence is not a prerequisite for visibilityHow allowing yourself to “get it wrong” leads to authentic expressionThe difference between identity and experimentationWhy repetition creates safety—and safety creates magnetismThe five things you need in place to be seen in this new era of businessHow to build nervous system safety before and after visibilityIf visibility feels activating, it doesn’t mean you’re not meant for it. It means your body needs safety, not pressure. This is exactly the work we do inside Safe to Be Seen—a six-week, high-touch experience designed to help you reclaim your voice, release visibility fears, and express yourself in a way that feels honest and magnetic. The Future of the Online Coaching Industry: A Conversation About Trust, Truth & Business

There’s a reason the word “grifter” has started showing up in conversations about some of the biggest names in online business. It’s because something fundamental has shifted in the digital economy, and trust is now the most valuable currency we have. In this episode, I’m sharing an unpopular perspective on the recent pivots of Jenna Kutcher and Amy Porterfield, why I don’t believe they’re grifters, and what this moment is really teaching us about authenticity, visibility, and sustainable business. For years, digital products worked a certain way. Evergreen funnels converted. Messaging stayed polished. Growth felt predictable. But that model doesn’t work the same anymore. So when leaders pretend it does, or aren't fully open and honest about it not working, people can feel the disconnect. This conversation is not about gossip or calling anyone out (though I do have some opinions about how I might have done things differently). It’s about understanding why trust wobbles when truth feels unsafe, how over-responsibility and pressure can lead to inauthentic messaging, and why radical honesty matters more than ever right now. At its core, this episode is about visibility and what happens when being fully seen doesn’t feel safe. If you’ve ever felt like: You genuinely help people but worry your marketing isn't connectingYou feel pressure to present certainty when things are actually not You don’t want to perform, exaggerate, or over-polish to sellYou’re navigating a pivot and unsure how honest you’re allowed to beYou want to build trust without betraying yourselfThis conversation is for you. In this episode, we explore: Why smart business women pivot—and why that’s not a failureWhy the “grifter” conversation is really a trust conversationHow market shifts expose where authenticity has been replaced by image managementWhat crisis communications teaches us about truth, timing, and transparencyHow trust-based visibility outperforms strategy in today’s economyWhat it means to be safe to be seen in your truth while still building a successful businessIf you have something real to offer, this economy isn’t here to punish you—it’s here to refine you. And the future belongs to people who are willing to tell the truth and be seen doing it. ✨ Learn more about Safe to Be Seen and how to market, sell, and lead without self-betrayal. Hot to Get What You Want in 2026

There’s a reason so many people set goals every year and still feel stuck, resistant, or disconnected from the life they’re trying to create. It’s not because they’re undisciplined. And it’s not because they didn’t want it badly enough. In this episode, I’m sharing the single practice I would prescribe to anyone who wants a better year and why it works when goal setting often doesn’t. For more than a decade, I’ve chosen a Word of the Year instead of traditional goals. And I’ll be honest, I didn’t always do it well. I used to choose words that came from my wounded self. Words rooted in effort, fixing, or pushing. Everything changed when I realized this practice isn’t about what you want to achieve. It’s about how you want to feel living your life and who you’re becoming along the way. This episode is about why the end feeling leads the outcomes, how words anchor identity, and why the right word gives your nervous system and brain something they can actually follow. If you’ve ever felt like: You set goals but struggle to stay connected to them You know what you want logically, but something in your body resists it You’re tired of forcing clarity or motivation You want a year that feels aligned, spacious, and true This conversation is for you.In this episode, we explore:  How choosing a Word of the Year creates an identity anchor, not pressure The behavior loop (that goal setting doesn't take into account) How my own Words of the Year (from Delight to Led) shaped some of the hardest and most magical years of my life Why your next year doesn’t need more effort, it needs the right energy leading itThis is why I host the Word of the Year Party every year. I’ll walk you through my signature process for choosing the word that will guide your energy, decisions, and growth in 2026. You don’t need clarity before you come.  You don’t need to already have a word.  You just need curiosity. ✨ Join me January 7 at 4 pm PT  👉 Save your spot at jenliss.com/party If there is one practice I would prescribe to anyone, this is it. The Business Growth Shift No One Talks About

There’s a business growth shift almost no one talks about because it’s not about strategy, content, or doing more. It’s about identity. In this episode, I’m sharing a subtle but powerful realization that came from a simple interaction and how it points to one of the biggest reasons so many business owners stay hidden, underpaid, or overlooked even though they’re incredibly gifted. We talk about the difference between being a person who connects and uplifts others versus unconsciously shrinking your own visibility. We explore how sister wound conditioning can turn business into an either/or game and why true growth actually comes from a yes, and approach. This episode is an invitation to stop positioning yourself as the bridge to other people’s power and start letting people meet you. If you’ve ever felt like: You’re always promoting others but hesitating to fully claim your own authorityYou downplay your gifts in the name of being supportive or collaborativeYou’re waiting for more credentials, validation, or permission before being seenYou know you’re meant to be chosen, but something keeps you holding backThis conversation is for you. In this episode, we explore: Why “yes, and” is the antidote to either/or thinking in businessHow "sister wound" conditioning shows up in visibility and leadershipThe difference between honoring others and hiding behind themHow owning your gift actually creates more abundance for everyone Mentioned in this episode: - Take my Business Archetype Quiz at jenliss.com/quiz 👉 Come into The Expansion Room for only $27 at jenliss.com/expansion 👉 Join me in person on island of St. Martin at the Island Awakening Luxury Retreat: jenliss.com/island If you loved this episode, make sure to: Follow the podcast on your favorite app so you never miss an episode.
