The best kept secret in business (that 6-year-old you always knew)

What if your childhood wasn't just a collection of random memories, but a real business roadmap? The things you loved before you were told what was practical, profitable, or impressive often reveal the gifts, strengths, and ways of creating that make you feel most alive. In this episode of F**k Around & Get Paid, we're diving into why your childhood joy matters for your future success, fulfillment, and finances. You'll hear:  โœจ Why your childhood passions can reveal your natural gifts and strengths  โœจ How following your joy can become a business strategy  โœจ Why so many entrepreneurs burn out trying to build businesses that don't fit them  โœจ How to identify the patterns hidden inside the things you loved as a kid  โœจ How I built a business around being fully myself, having fun, and creating income through my natural gifts I'll also share stories from our community, including the childhood joys that revealed clues about the businesses and contributions they're here to create. Because the goal isn't to become someone else to make money. The goal is to uncover who you've always been and build a business that rewards you for being that person. ---------- Ready to F**k Around &Get Paid? The Spirituality Trap: Why women entrepreneurs are exhausted from trying to become "better"

What if the thing keeping you stuck isn't that you need more healing, more growth, or more spiritual work? What if you're exhausted because you've been trying so hard to become someone you're not? In this episode of F**k Around & Get Paid, we're talking about the pressure so many women entrepreneurs feel to constantly improve, evolve, heal, and reach some imaginary "next level" version of themselves before they allow themselves to fully step into success. Somewhere along the way, we've turned personal growth into another hamster wheel. We're always striving for the next thing. The next level of consciousness. The next version of ourselves. The version who finally has it all together. But what if your success doesn't require you to become more perfect? What if it requires you to become more you? In this episode, I share my thoughts on the spirituality trap, the pressure women feel to perform having it all together, and why I believe the future of entrepreneurship belongs to people who are willing to be fully themselves. We'll talk about: โœจ Why so many women entrepreneurs are burned out from constantly trying to improve themselves  โœจ How personal growth and spirituality can accidentally become another place we perform perfection  โœจ The connection between authenticity, confidence, and building a successful business  โœจ Why you don't need to reach your "highest self" before you're allowed to make money or create impact  โœจ The difference between running on the self-improvement hamster wheel and becoming an empowered player in the game  โœจ Why the world needs more entrepreneurs who are willing to show up as themselves For years, women have been taught to be the perfect duck: calm and composed on the surface while secretly paddling like crazy underneath. But you were never meant to spend your life performing perfection. You are meant to be a powerful player in the game. Because the way you build a business that creates income and impact isn't by becoming someone else. It's by becoming safe to be fully who you already are. Is your business vacation-proofed?

Summer has a way of revealing the truth about our businesses. If the thought of stepping away from your business for a vacation, family visit, or even a long weekend fills you with anxiety, this episode is for you. In this episode, I'm sharing a real-time lesson I learned while my parents were visiting during the middle of a coaching cohort. For the first time, I had intentionally designed my program to give clients more tools, more self-owned support, and more opportunities to implement on their own. And then something unexpected happened: the chat got really quiet. At first, my nervous system interpreted that silence as a problem. But what I discovered completely changed the way I think about coaching, client empowerment, and building a business that truly supports my life. We'll talk about the nervous system patterns that keep entrepreneurs tethered to their businesses, why being constantly needed isn't the same thing as creating transformation, and how I'm building a Joy-First Business that allows for both impact and freedom. If you've ever worried that taking time off means losing momentum, falling behind in your business, or letting your clients down, this conversation will help you reimagine what's possible. In this episode, you'll learn: โœจ Why summer can expose the places where your business still owns you โœจ The surprising lesson I learned when my coaching container got quiet โœจ How to create client empowerment instead of client dependency โœจ Common nervous system patterns that keep entrepreneurs overworking โœจ Signs your business may not be vacation-proof yet โœจ Practical ways to build more freedom, spaciousness, and sustainability into your business โœจ Why I believe your business should expand your life, not consume it If this episode resonated with you, I'd love to hear from you! How to de-influence your business

A few weeks ago I formed a simple hypothesis: If I don't have to be right all the time, my life would drastically improve. That one idea cracked open a dam - and what came flooding out was an honest inventory of everywhere I'd been performing a version of myself I didn't actually choose. In this episode I get real about what it means to de-influence your life and business - not just your content strategy, but the deeper stuff. The ideals you absorbed. The positions you never consciously took. The version of success you've been chasing that someone else built. In this episode: The hypothesis that changed everything (and why "not having to be right" is actually the most intuitive move)The corner-of-the-house IG live that made me think "this is f**king ridiculous"What I actually want my life to look like โ€” and why I'd been squeezing my life into a brand instead of the other way aroundHow the influencer era sold coaches and healers a very specific (and very fake) idealWhy authenticity isn't a trend โ€” it's the only response to a world that feels unreliableWhat de-influencing your business actually looks like in practiceLinks + Resources: Read the full essay this episode pairs with: Read HERELearn more about working with me: jenliss.comFollow along: @jennifer.liss_---------- Ready to F**k Around &Get Paid? The key to manifesting everything

What if the thing keeping you exhausted isn't your schedule, your business, or even your responsibilities? What if it's that you've stopped saying what you actually want? Today we're exploring one of the most overlooked keys to manifestation: desire. Because so many of us have been taught to "be grateful" for what we have while quietly abandoning what we truly want. We convince ourselves what we want is selfish, unrealistic, or we feel guilty about wanting too much. So we want it, then minimize it, and then want it, and then minimize it... And then we wonder why we're exhausted. In this episode, I detail why we often accept the order someone else placed for us instead of claiming what we actually desire. Why gratitude and wanting more are not opposites, the hidden guilt many women carry around desire, and why resentment is often a sign that we've stopped honoring ourselves. If you've ever felt unfulfilled despite doing everything "right," this conversation may be exactly what you need. Your desires aren't frivolous. They are information. They may even be divine direction. In this episode, you'll learn: Why saying what you want (CLEARLY!) is essential for manifestationThe surprising reason you feel exhausted when you suppress your desiresHow gratitude and wanting more can coexistThe hidden web of guilt, shame, and conditioning around desireWhy resentment is often a clue that you've abandoned yourselfHow unspoken desires create resistance in your nervous systemA simple three-step practice for receiving more of what you wantThe Three-Part Practice: Honor what you want. Communicate it. Accept it DAILY. The universe isn't offended by your appetite. You don't have to settle for the life someone else ordered for you. You get to place your own order, exactly as you want it. ---------- Ready to F**k Around &Get Paid? The cure for the recovering perfectionist

What if the thing keeping you stuck isn't your strategy, your offer, your content, or your consistency? What if it's your need to get it right? Today we are exploring the hidden force that shows up for every entrepreneur: perfectionism. In this episode, you'll learn why perfectionism has nothing to do with high standards and everything to do with fear, how the nervous system responds when we become overly focused on avoiding mistakes, and why play, experimentation, and messy action are often the fastest path to the results we're seeking. You'll also hear a powerful story about a professional athlete whose performance transformed when he stopped trying so hard to get it right and started playing again. Inside this episode: โœจ What perfectionism actually is (and what it isn't) โœจ Why fear of failure often disguises itself as "being responsible" โœจ How perfectionism creates nervous system rigidity and blocks creativity โœจ The surprising connection between growth, visibility, and control โœจ Why your next breakthrough may require more experimentation and less certainty โœจ A simple challenge to help you loosen your grip and create momentum this week If you've been waiting until you're more prepared, more confident, more certain, or more qualified before taking the next step, this episode is for you. Because your most magnetic self isn't the version of you that gets everything right. It's the version that's willing to play. ---------- Ready to F**k Around &Get Paid? Listen to this before starting something new

Have you ever started something new and immediately felt overwhelmed? First, know this: just because your nervous system suddenly decides you're being chased by a tiger does not mean you have done anything wrong, that you haven't healed enough, and it's definitely not a sign to stop. It's usually a sign to GO. :) In this episode, I'm sharing what happened when I recently found myself in a full-blown spiral while stepping into a new season of growth. What started as excitement quickly turned into overwhelm, panic, comparison, and the familiar feeling that somehow everyone else had figured it out except me. The good news, of course, is that this is incredibly normal. When you step outside what's familiar -even when it's something you want - your nervous systems often interprets uncertainty as danger. That's why growth can feel exciting and terrifying at the exact same time. In this episode, we're talking about why that happens, what your nervous system is actually trying to do, and how to support yourself through the messy middle of expansion without making it mean you're failing. Inside this episode: โœจ Why starting something new can trigger overwhelm โœจ What happened when my own nervous system hit the panic button โœจ How "not enoughness" gets activated during growth โœจ Why comparison gets louder when you're expanding โœจ Practical ways to regulate your nervous system when you're spiraling โœจ Why joy isn't something you earn - it's a powerful tool for creating safety If you've been feeling overwhelmed, behind, or questioning yourself lately, this episode will help you understand what's really happening and how to move through it with more ease. Because every limitation is a chance to transcend into a new possibility! ---------- Ready to F**k Around &Get Paid? Make more by doing less

What if manifestation has less to do with working harder, and more to do with how you feel while you build your business? In this episode of F**k Around and Get Paid, Jennifer Liss breaks down the powerful shift from chasing success to embodying the feeling you actually want first. Because most entrepreneurs are not really chasing money, clients, freedom, or success. They are chasing the feeling they believe those things will finally give them. The problem is that most people keep those feelings just out of reach by attaching them to future outcomes. This episode explores joy-first manifesting through the lens of entrepreneurship, nervous system regulation, energetic alignment, authentic business growth, and practical law of attraction principles inspired by Abraham Hicks. If you have been hustling, overworking, forcing results, or feeling emotionally exhausted while trying to grow your business, this episode will help you understand why creating from fullness attracts entirely different outcomes than creating from desperation. IN THIS EPISODE  Why entrepreneurs are actually chasing feelings, not goals  The hidden pattern holding your business back Why joy is not the reward for success โ€“ it is the pathway to it  How law of attraction principles apply to business growth  Why your audience can feel your energy before they buy  How to create from safety, joy, and emotional fullness THIS EPISODE IS FOR YOU IF:  You are tired of hustling for results that never feel satisfying  You want more ease, alignment, and authenticity in your business  You are interested in manifestation, energetics, and nervous system work  You want to attract clients and opportunities without forcing everything  You are ready to stop postponing joy until โ€œsomedayโ€ Because the life you want won't begin when you finally get the thing. It starts the moment you start feeling good. ---------- Ready to F**k Around &Get Paid?
