    174. Praying With Open HandsThursday - October 29, 2026 On a drizzly morning in Grace Harbor, we learn a simple prayer practice that uses our hands. It helps learn how we are blessed to be a blessing. Prayer Dear God, we thank you for this day and for all of your blessings. We offer to you our open hands because everything we are and everything we have is from you. You are a generous God, and whenever you’re ready to give, we’re ready to receive. For the next few moments, we’re going to think about your love for us and the way you’ve shown it through your many gifts. Now, we close our fists. Sometimes it’s easy to be generous with the blessings you’ve given us, but sometimes we want to hold onto them tightly. While you certainly want us to enjoy the blessings you’ve given, they’re not only for us. For the next few moments, help us think about something we might be holding onto tighter than we need to. Finally, we open our hands again as a sign that we want to be generous people. We want to use the blessings you’ve given us in ways that are wise, ways that share your love with the world, and ways that generate joy! We thank you that you have blessed us to be a blessing. Amen.
