From the US Open Stands to the Ladies League Court

The US Open. The pros. The crowds. The drama. The tennis. The US Open is now old news.. - but what we can learn from it is not!  So grab your coffee, pour yourself a little tennis tea, and come hang out with Kim and Jane as they take us from the US Open stands to the ladies league court. Kim went to the US Open and is spilling the tea on what it’s really like to attend — including how to get tickets, what to know about the ticket scramble, whether resale is worth it, and why getting there early can make all the difference. But this episode isn't just about getting through the US Open gates. Jane brings her past experience as a professional player at the US Open to the conversation, giving us a behind-the-scenes personal perspective and how the US Open has changed since her days that effects the players today.  And last and MOST importantly,  What can us ladies league players actually steal from the pros? 👑 Because we're not suddenly going to start serving 120 mph or ripping winners from three feet behind the baseline. 😂 But there are plenty of things the pros do that we can absolutely bring to Court 4 on Tuesday night. Kim and Jane dive into sportsmanship, mental toughness, emotional control, tactical decision-making, point construction, and what professional players can teach us about competing — whether you're playing for a Grand Slam trophy or just trying to win your line. 👑 What We're Talking About 🎟️ US Open ticket tips: How to get them, when to start, and what to know about resale🏟️ Why getting there early can be worth it🎾 Why the early rounds and qualifying matches might be the hidden gem of the US Open👀 Jane's perspective from her past as a professional player at the US Open💪 What pros do differently when the pressure gets BIG🧠 Mental toughness lessons we can actually use in league tennis🤝 The sportsmanship and respect we see from the pros🎯 Tactical decision-making and playing the point instead of the moment😤 How pros manage emotions when things aren't going their way🎭 How the US Open has evolved into more than just a tennis tournamentAnd most importantly… what can YOU take from watching the pros and bring to your next league match?👑 The League Queens Takeaway You don't have to play like a pro to learn from one. Maybe it's how you respond after a bad point. Maybe it's how you handle pressure. Maybe it's how you communicate with your partner. Maybe it's simply learning to compete without letting one bad game ruin the next three. The pros may be playing on Arthur Ashe… but we're all playing the same mental game. 🎾👑 Follow our Insta Accounts: League Queens Podcast: Teamforman Tennis Rallies & Rackets Shop Cute Tennis Gifts: Rallies & Rackets USE CODE Leaguequeens15 for 15% off our new CITY COLLECTION!

SINGLES: Is not Doubles with 1 less person

🎾This thinking could be why you dont love singles and this episode is here to help If you are a:Doubles player who occasionally gets thrown into singles. Or a seasoned singles player who knows there’s still room to level up. Either way… this episode is for you. 👑🎾 Singles is NOT just doubles with one less person on the court. 😂 The court feels bigger (on your side) but SMALLER on the opponent side, the points feel longer, there’s nowhere to hide — and suddenly you’re responsible for covering ALL. OF. IT. In this episode, Jane and Kim break down the biggest differences between singles and doubles and share strategies to help you feel more confident when you’re flying solo. They cover court positioning, shot selection, serve and return strategy, approaching the net, handling heavy topspin, and — perhaps most importantly — developing the marathon mindset you need to survive a long singles match. If doubles is your primary game, Jane's strategies will help you translate what you already know into singles. And if you're a veteran singles player, there are plenty of tactical reminders and ideas to help you uplevel your game and start thinking more strategically. Because when you're playing singles, there is no partner to save you. It's you, your racquet, and A LOT of court. 😳 👑 What We're Talking AboutWhy singles is NOT just doubles without your partnerHow to think about court coverage and positioningThe shots every singles player needs in their toolboxWhy making your opponent move is everythingUsing crosscourt and down-the-line patterns to control pointsWhen to hit short, when to go deep, and when to attackServe placement and return strategies that actually matterHow to reset your position after every shotApproach shots and when it's worth coming to the netWhat to do when your opponent hits heavy topspinHow to handle aggressive opponents and net playersDeveloping the marathon mentality for long singles matches
