How Wise Women Learn Discernment (Is It God, Fear, or Emotion?) E28

Have you ever wondered: “Is this God leading me… or is this fear?” “Am I experiencing peace… or just relief?” “Should I move forward… or slow down?” In this episode, we’re talking about discernment—what it is, what it isn’t, and how wise women learn to recognize the difference between emotion, urgency, fear, wisdom, and God’s leading. We’ll explore why discernment and wisdom are connected but not the same, why relief and peace are often confused, and how paying attention to patterns, counsel, Scripture, and the Holy Spirit helps us see more clearly. Because wise women don’t simply ask what they feel. They learn to ask what is true. If this episode encourages you, share it with a friend and leave a rating or review so more women can find The Pert Plan. Wisdom Is Expensive (E27)

Have you ever looked back at a season of your life and thought: “What was I thinking?” Maybe you ignored warning signs. Maybe you followed your emotions instead of wisdom. Maybe you learned something the hard way. In this episode, we’re talking about a phrase I often joke about with clients: “Wisdom is expensive.” The truth is that wisdom rarely comes from information alone. More often, it grows through consequences, humility, teachability, repentance, and the mercy of God. We’ll explore why wise women ask different questions, why slowing down matters, and how God can use even our most costly mistakes to form us into women of peace and discernment. Because eventually most of us discover something important: Wisdom is expensive. But foolishness is expensive too. Why Do I Feel So Scattered? We Are Drowning in Information & Starving for Formation (E26)

Why do so many women feel emotionally scattered, distracted, and exhausted? We are consuming more information than any generation in history, yet many of us feel less peaceful, less attentive, and less formed. In this episode, we’ll explore the hidden cost of constant input and why the path to wisdom may look very different than modern culture suggests. Anxious Minds Rehearse Fear—Wise Women Remember God (E25)

Do you ever find yourself replaying painful memories, rehearsing worst-case scenarios, or feeling like anxiety is louder than peace? In this episode of The Pert Plan, licensed professional counselor Pam Litchford explores why anxious minds naturally rehearse fear—and how wise women learn to remember God instead. Drawing from Psalm 107, personal experience, and biblical wisdom, Pam discusses the connection between anxiety, attention, remembrance, and spiritual formation. You’ll learn why fear narrows our perspective, how worship helps reorient our minds, and why one of the marks of a wise woman is that she remembers God’s faithfulness alongside life’s hardships. If you’re struggling with anxiety, overthinking, worry, fear, or emotional overwhelm, this episode will encourage you to slow down, remember God’s goodness, and find peace in His presence. Scripture: Psalm 107:43 Key Topics: • Christian anxiety • Overthinking and fear • Renewing your mind • God’s faithfulness Christian mental health meets grounded truth, emotional wisdom, and practical encouragement for real life. Maybe you’re waiting for answers, carrying financial pressure, overthinking at night, or silently wondering how much longer you can keep holding everything together.
