Episode 28: Deep Sleep Reset with Katherine Hinchey

Sleep can feel impossible when your environment is noisy, your mind is busy, and your phone is one arm’s length away. Recording from Camp Cayuga in the Pocono Mountains while I’m working in the camp office and sleeping on a cot, I share what camp life is teaching me about rest, recovery, and how quickly our routines can make sleep harder or easier. Starting with a reminder about sleep hygiene and why it matters for mental health, anxiety, energy, and even weight goals.  Then a step-by-step self-hypnosis routine you can use for the rest of your life for falling asleep or falling back to sleep. Episode 26 - Charlie DeLacey: The Monastery Experience & the Hidden Link With Silence

Charlie DeLacey is a hypnotherapist who helps people change the patterns that keep them stuck — anxiety, chronic pain, unwanted habits, low confidence, and the quiet beliefs running beneath them. He trained through the Hypnosis Motivation Institute curriculum in the Kappasinian tradition, completed NLP practitioner training, and continues to deepen his work with Ericksonian methods, therapeutic imagery, and parts work. His practice rests on a simple conviction: the mind already holds what a person needs to heal, and good hypnotherapy is the art of helping them reach it. Before he ever guided a client into trance, Charlie spent four years as a Carmelite friar, living a contemplative life of silence, prayer, and disciplined inner work. Those years gave him something no certification can — a lived familiarity with the interior landscape, with stillness, and with the slow, patient process by which a person is genuinely transformed. That formation is the foundation beneath every session: it taught him to hold a calm, undistracted presence, to listen beneath the words, and to sit with someone in the deep places without rushing them. It also makes him a natural fit for clients of faith — including those who wonder whether hypnosis and belief can coexist. He has stood on both sides of that question and can meet it honestly. Charlie also knows from the inside what many of his clients are carrying. He has lived with arthritis for more than a decade, and uses the same hypnotic tools he offers clients — self-hypnosis, breathwork, imagery — to manage pain and medical anxiety in his own life. He is likewise open about being neurodivergent: he has ADHD, and has built his life and practice around a brain that works differently. When he helps a client quiet a racing mind, ease a flare of pain, or work with rather than against their own wiring, he is not speaking from a textbook. The tools he teaches are tools he uses. Sessions with Charlie are collaborative and unhurried. The client is always in control; his role is to create a calm, focused space where new possibilities can take hold. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, he works with the whole person — using trance, metaphor, and gentle reframing to change the stories the subconscious has been telling. He is an active member of the wider hypnotherapy community, writes on hypnotherapy and depth work, and shares freely with the professional community of practitioners he learns alongside. Whether your goal is easing anxiety, living better with pain, breaking a habit, or simply becoming more fully yourself, Charlie meets you where you are — without judgment, and without a one-size-fits-all script. If you’re ready to explore what change might look like for you, he would be glad to hear from you. https://charlesdelacey.com/ Support the show ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Website: https://hincheyhypnotherapy.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/katherine-hinchey-hypnotherapy/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/hinchey_hypnotherapy/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/katherine.hinchey.9 Original Song by Tracey Moore and performed by Jazzyfatnastees.  Audio editing and engineering by Zachary Treanor If you enjoyed listening, make sure to like, follow, share and leave a review!  This podcast is for informational purposes only. Episode 24 - Tarot, Dreams, And The Clairs With Deshanta Thomas

For more than three decades, Deshanta Thomas has walked a path guided by intuition, spirit, and a deep belief that we are all connected by energies greater than ourselves. Her spiritual awakening began in the early 1990s when she realized that many of her dreams were unfolding in real life. What began as a series of extraordinary experiences soon became a calling she could no longer ignore. That calling deepened when a friend gifted her a tarot deck, opening the door to a world of spiritual exploration that would forever change the course of her life. Determined to understand her gifts, Deshanta immersed herself in years of study, attending psychic development school where she trained in mediumship, tarot, psychic development, energy work, and other New Age spiritual practices. She continued to expand her knowledge through dedicated practice, mentorship, and personal experience. Throughout her journey, Deshanta has conducted hundreds of professional readings, serving clients from all walks of life. Her work has taken her to radio stations, public festivals, Halloween events, psychic fairs, private gatherings, and individual sessions, where she has become known for delivering messages with compassion, honesty, and heart. As a psychic medium, Deshanta serves as a bridge between the physical and spiritual worlds. She believes our loved ones in spirit remain connected to us through love, and that intuitive guidance can illuminate the lessons, opportunities, and healing available along life’s journey. Her readings blend mediumship, clairvoyance, tarot, and intuitive insight to help clients find clarity, validation, and a renewed sense of purpose. Rather than focusing on fear or absolute predictions, Deshanta encourages people to recognize that free will is one of our greatest spiritual gifts. Her mission is to empower others to trust their intuition, embrace their personal growth, and navigate life with greater confidence, awareness, and peace. Whether delivering messages from spirit, interpreting the wisdom of the tarot, or helping someone reconnect with their own inner knowing, Deshanta approaches every reading with reverence, integrity, and the belief that every soul’s journey is unique. In addition to her spiritual work, Deshanta is the creator and host of the podcast GenX Gon Give It To Ya, where she celebrates the culture, music, movies, and memories that define Generation X. Through both her podcast and her spiritual practice, she remains devoted to creating meaningful conversations, inspiring reflection, and reminding people that guidance often appears when we are ready to receive it.
