The Disappearance of James Yoblonski - Case Breakdown

Absolutely — here’s a tighter version that keeps the usual TCU structure and stays comfortably under 5,000 characters. # James Yoblonski Disappearance: 13-Year-Old Left Home at Midnight — Then Vanished On June 12, 2023, **13-year-old James Yoblonski** quietly left his rural Wisconsin home in the middle of the night. He packed two duffel bags and a backpack, took his father’s cellphone, climbed into the family minivan despite having virtually no road-driving experience, and disappeared into the darkness. Hours later, the van was found abandoned roughly 16 miles from home near the **Baraboo Bluffs** along U.S. Highway 12. The keys were still inside. The window was down. James was gone. Searchers later found some of James’s clothing, bags, hygiene supplies and his father’s cellphone in nearby woods. But several important things were missing: * James himself* A .380-caliber handgun taken from a safe at his father’s business* A large duffel bag* Another cellphone James may have had access to Three years later, none have been found. In this episode of **True Crime Unsolved**, Sean Cahill and Myles Reiff break down one of Wisconsin’s strangest active missing-person cases. Security footage and cellphone data reportedly helped investigators reconstruct part of James’s route that night. After leaving home shortly before 1:00 a.m., the van traveled to his father Bill’s business, headed toward Baraboo, then **returned to the business a second time** before ultimately ending up near the Baraboo Bluffs. Why did James go back? Was he retrieving something? Was he meeting someone? Was another person involved? Then there is the disturbing **Snapchat video** James reportedly posted that night. In it, he says the people who care about him are not to blame and appears frightened and emotionally distressed — but never clearly explains what he intends to do. James’s father, **Bill Yoblonski**, believes the language in the video sounded unlike his son and has questioned whether James may have been repeating words supplied by someone else. Bill has also questioned whether a hand briefly visible near the steering wheel belongs to James. Those are Bill’s interpretations, not established facts. As of September 2026, **James Yoblonski remains missing**. He would now be 16 years old. The Wisconsin Department of Justice continues to list James as a **missing endangered child**, and there is a **$10,000 reward** for information in the case. If you have genuine information about James’s disappearance or current whereabouts, please contact the **Sauk County Sheriff’s Office** or the **Wisconsin Department of Justice Missing Persons Clearinghouse**. Next week, we sit down with James’s father, **Bill Yoblonski**, for an in-depth interview about the night his son vanished and why Bill believes there is much more to this story. ## LISTEN TO TRUE CRIME UNSOLVED Apple Podcasts:[https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/true-crime-unsolved/id1848906709](https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/true-crime-unsolved/id1848906709) Spotify:[https://open.spotify.com/show/6MhlBrpvNnRJZ73TCWnnqO](https://open.spotify.com/show/6MhlBrpvNnRJZ73TCWnnqO) Amazon Music:[https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/4ba9885c-dd47-480e-8037-6d77f415c101/true-crime-unsolved](https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/4ba9885c-dd47-480e-8037-6d77f415c101/true-crime-unsolved) Pocket Casts:[https://pca.st/za1ydvhj](https://pca.st/za1ydvhj) ## SUPPORT TRUE CRIME UNSOLVED Join the **True Crime Unsolved Investigators** and help support independent research, family interviews, public-records work and continued coverage of unresolved cases. ## ABOUT TRUE CRIME UNSOLVED Hosted by **Sean Cahill and Myles Reiff**, True Crime Unsolved investigates missing persons, suspicious deaths, cold cases and unresolved mysteries through interviews, public records, independent research and long-form analysis. ## DISCLAIMER This episode discusses an active missing-person case involving a minor Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Proton VPN is the fastest and most reliable VPN on the market, and now you can save 70% off when you use our link: http://www.protronvpn.com/tcu On September 14, 2007, **14-year-old Andrew Gosden** left his home in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, dressed for school. But Andrew never went to school. Instead, he waited until his family had left the house, returned home, changed out of his uniform, withdrew £200 from his bank account, and traveled alone by train to London. At approximately **11:25 a.m.**, CCTV captured Andrew walking out of **King’s Cross Station**. It remains the last confirmed sighting of him. Nearly two decades later, nobody knows why Andrew secretly traveled to London that morning — or what happened after he walked out of the station. Andrew was an academically gifted, quiet, introverted teenager with a perfect school attendance record. His family described him as a “home bird” who enjoyed video games, mathematics, and bands like Slipknot, Muse, and Funeral for a Friend. Nothing about his life seemed to suggest that he was preparing to run away. Yet on the morning he vanished, Andrew made a series of deliberate choices: * He pretended to leave for school* Returned home after his family left* Changed into civilian clothes* Took his PlayStation Portable* Withdrew nearly all the money from his bank account* Bought a **one-way ticket to London*** Declined a return ticket that would have cost only slightly more* Traveled alone for nearly two hours* Walked out of King’s Cross Station And then the trail ends. So why did Andrew Gosden go to London? If you have genuine information regarding Andrew’s disappearance, please contact the appropriate UK authorities or Missing People. ## LISTEN TO TRUE CRIME UNSOLVED 🎧 **Apple Podcasts:**[https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/true-crime-unsolved/id1848906709](https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/true-crime-unsolved/id1848906709) 🎧 **Spotify:**[https://open.spotify.com/show/6MhlBrpvNnRJZ73TCWnnqO](https://open.spotify.com/show/6MhlBrpvNnRJZ73TCWnnqO) 🎧 **Amazon Music:**[https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/4ba9885c-dd47-480e-8037-6d77f415c101/true-crime-unsolved](https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/4ba9885c-dd47-480e-8037-6d77f415c101/true-crime-unsolved) 🎧 **Pocket Casts:**[https://pca.st/za1ydvhj](https://pca.st/za1ydvhj) ## SUPPORT TRUE CRIME UNSOLVED Join the **True Crime Unsolved Investigators** and help support independent case research, family and witness interviews, public-records work, long-form case breakdowns, and continued coverage of unresolved mysteries. The Disappearance of William "Bill" Dudley - Case Breakdown

    # William “Bill” Dudley Disappearance: What Happened After the Halloween Night Fight? On Halloween night in 1993, 35-year-old **William David “Bill” Dudley** was involved in a violent confrontation at a rural property near Clear Brook, Virginia. Dudley had been drinking and, according to investigators, assaulted his girlfriend before two men intervened. During the fight that followed, one of those men later admitted striking Bill with a baseball bat. Bill was reportedly seen alive afterward, walking back toward his trailer. Then he vanished. Days later, his **wallet, keys, and personal belongings were still inside the trailer**, but Bill was nowhere to be found. He never contacted his mother again, no confirmed sighting ever surfaced, and his remains have never been recovered. More than three decades later, law enforcement continues to investigate Bill Dudley’s disappearance as a cold case and has said foul play is suspected. In this episode of **True Crime Unsolved**, Sean Cahill and Myles Reiff break down the final hours before Bill disappeared, the people who were with him that Halloween night, the admitted baseball-bat assault, the troubling account later given by Bill’s daughter, and the theories that could explain how a grown man seemingly vanished within walking distance of his own home. We examine the biggest unanswered questions: * Did Bill ever actually make it back to his trailer? * Could injuries from the earlier fight have caused his death? * Was there a second confrontation after witnesses say Bill walked away? * What did Bill’s teenage daughter reportedly overhear later that night? * Why were his wallet and keys left behind? * Where could his body have been hidden? * And what evidence is still missing that has prevented investigators from making an arrest? Bill Dudley was not a perfect victim. The evidence indicates that he committed a serious act of domestic violence immediately before his disappearance. But whatever happened before he vanished does not answer what happened afterward—and it does not erase his family’s right to know where he is. If you have information about the disappearance of **William David “Bill” Dudley**, contact the **Frederick County Sheriff’s Office in Virginia** and reference case **93-180333**. ## LISTEN TO TRUE CRIME UNSOLVED 🎧 **Apple Podcasts:**https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/true-crime-unsolved/id1848906709 🎧 **Spotify:**https://open.spotify.com/show/6MhlBrpvNnRJZ73TCWnnqO 🎧 **Amazon Music:**https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/4ba9885c-dd47-480e-8037-6d77f415c101/true-crime-unsolved 🎧 **Pocket Casts:**https://pca.st/za1ydvhj ## SUPPORT TRUE CRIME UNSOLVED Join the **True Crime Unsolved Investigators** and help support independent research, interviews, case breakdowns, public-records work, and continued coverage of cold cases and missing-person investigations. In October 1978, a utility worker made a horrifying discovery along a rural roadside in Lyon County, Iowa. The badly decomposed body of a young woman had been left face down in a ditch. Her injuries were so severe that investigators couldn't identify her through dental records, and for nearly three decades she remained known only as the **Lyon County Jane Doe**. Then, in 2006, a fingerprint match finally gave her back her name: **Wilma June Nissen**, a 23-year-old woman from California. But while one mystery had finally been solved, another remained. Who killed Wilma? How did she end up hundreds of miles from home? And why has no one ever been charged in her murder? In this episode of **True Crime Unsolved**, Sean Cahill and Myles Reiff examine the known timeline of Wilma's final months, the decades-long Jane Doe investigation, the eventual identification through fingerprint evidence, and the investigative theories that continue to surround this unsolved homicide. We also explore the extraordinary story of Wilma's daughter, Krissi, who spent years searching for the mother she never knew—only to discover she had been the victim of an unsolved murder all along.
