Fraser Cain and Dr. Pamela Gay got me hooked on podcasts, with this long-running series that instills wonder for all the amazing things in space, with a nice balance of fun banter. Dr. Pamela Gay is the expert scientist, dedicated to citizen science projects in addition to her research. Fraser Cain brings the non-scientist perspective, but with knowledge developed over decades devoted to astronomy journalism. They are both dedicated to science outreach, which I am immensely grateful for, and they are a joy to listen to.

I listen to this show because I enjoy hearing your insights on astronomy. It is very unprofessional, unhelpful, and unnecessary to waste airtime complaining that your political candidate didn’t win the recent presidential election. Please work through your personal issues, and stay on point. (Ref: Ep 743)

I’ve been listening to this podcast for many years and have been disappointed by the talk of politics by Dr. Gay. The November 18 podcast was disheartening as I am not interested in hearing anyone’s politics. Other people who listen to this podcast told me to listen to Fraser Cain on Universe Today instead. So for now, I bid a sad adieu.

We got out country back. Trump got Artemis going and funding during first term. Great years ahead for science and space exploration.

Just listened to the first minutes of the latest cast. I can’t take it anymore from these leftists. I you think no borders, crime on the streets, political legal persecutions, leaving a billion worth of military equipment to an enemy, taking money from China to line the pockets of your family, grocery prices through the roof and shoveling coal into the identity politics furnace is for you, keep following these two. I’ve had enough. If you have a different view than my own, no problem. The obvious distain you have for people who love this country is a problem. Your cast isn’t worth the frustration.

Wow! They are poster children for leftist causes and early sufferers of TDS. They have become more obnoxious as they have continued on until they are now almost insufferable when talking about anything other than astronomy.

This podcast is amazing. It goes into the “how things work “ in all aspects of astronomy and the universe in a way that makes sense for everyone.

Fraser needs less coffee and let Pam talk without interrupting! Also the ads ever few minutes is getting annoying, especially the same ad. Also these ads are not the same volume as the podcast! Fix this!

I’ve been listening to AC since 2008/9 and always looked forward to a new episode. However— due to life—I hadn’t listened in about a year. I decided to make an effort to listen to the Weather on Exoplanets and was taken aback at the hard sell for multiple Patreons at the beginning of the show. More importantly, I was appalled by the ads every five minutes, including the same ad running more than once in one show. I was used to Dr. Gay doing an ad read in the middle of the show but this is too much. I’ve unsubscribed.

Now they’ve decided to insert ad breaks every 5 minutes and turned what was a fantastic educational podcast into a ad farming mess. What a shame.
