Just the best movie review show. Mostly for Jeff. But all three hosts bring something different. And they often have great guest reviewers. And love their takes.

Writing this as a patreon subscriber of a few years, they need to reign Jeff in a bit in terms of his monopolizing the conversation. He’s always turned up all the way to 11, and I find myself skipping ahead to get through his rather endless, highly agitated reactions to everything that he experiences. I get that he’s a balance to David’s rather deadpan presentation but he seems to be talking as much as the other two hosts combined. Not sure how much longer I’ll keep listening.

2026 Updated review: Took years off from this podcast because I got to be listening to too many things and had to cut some out. Recently came back to the podcast the past several months to hear some episodes on recent movies such as Obsession, Backrooms, Spider-Man, and others. The podcast seems off compared to what I was used to. David Chen still interrupts often and comes off as self important, main character syndrome. That hasn’t changed, but I wasn’t used to how Devindra has changed compared to what I was used to. He now also interrupts often and is all too keen to tell the others that their OPINIONS are wrong. Jeff gets his thoughts in where he can. Still a decent podcast for recent movies and shows, with some decent insight. But after all these years, the seams are showing. Original review: Great podcast that I enjoy listening to. Jeff and Devindra are great at getting their thoughts and points across. David slightly less so. Has a hard time deciding if he likes a movie sometimes, often contradicts himself. Overall, one of my top 4 podcasts. (Along with ifanboy, DLC and Cagcast) I also love how I can listen to an episode about a movie I never got around to seeing or have no desire to see and still get a feel for the movie and if maybe I should actually see it.

My brother and I have been listening to this podcast for decades now and have always loved getting to chat about each weeks topics are. Every time I see a movie I think about how they covered it on the podcast or how they will cover it when they watch it. The show is insightful, funny, real, and feels like best friends having an informed and engaged conversation every week.
