    The Progressive Commentary Hour - Bret Weinstein - 8-18-26

    Bret Weinstein is the co-host of the popular Dark Horse podcast with his wife Heather Heying, which can be heard on YouTube.  The podcast addresses a wide range of topics including medical freedom, free speech, the challenges of artificial intelligence, neuroscience, and much more. He is a former professor of biology at Evergreen State College, which he had resigned from in the wake of campus riots on the school's campus due his opposition to racial segregation and the college's diversity and equity proposals.  As a scholar Bret's research focuses on evolutionary tradeoffs, the evolution of senescence and cancer, and adaptive strategies and the significance of human morality and religion. He is author of "The Hunter-Gatherer's Guide to the 21st Century." Bret received his PhD in biology from the University of Michigan where he received a distinguished award in evolutionary biology, and earned his BA from the University of California at Santa Cruz.     The Progressive Commentary Hour - 8-11-26

    Prof Niels Harrit was a professor of chemistry at the University of Copenhagen from 1971 until his retirement in 2009. He was the co-founder of the university's nanoscience center. Prof has published dozens of peer-reviewed papers in chemistry journals. His 2009 paper "Active Thermitic Materials in the World Trade Center Dust" documents his groundbreaking discovery of energetic materials used in a demolition of the towers. Niels has lectured extensively all over the world, having given about 400 presentations, on the collapse of the World Trade Towers and his finding of carbon nanotubes in the lungs of 911 first responders.     Richard Gage is an architect who has been in practice in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 30 years, which include very large fire-proofed, steel framed structures. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the founder and former CEO of Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth. Richard, along with his wife Gail, continue to conduct his research in to the collapse of the 3 World Trade Center skyscrapers independently.     Progressive Commentary Hour - John Veravaeke - 7-21-26

    Prof. John Vervaeke is an award winnig professor of psychology at the University of Toronto and the university's former director of its Cognitive Science Project. His areas of focus include the psychology and nature of reasoning and rationality, Buddhist psychology and the cognitive science of consciousness. He currently directs the University of Toronto's Consciousness and Wisdom Studies Laboratory.  Prof Vervaeke is the host of a 50 part lecture series on Youtube entitle, "Awakening from the Meaning Crisis", which is also the title of his most recent book, and another series called "After Socrates". The series and book map the course of the dark wave of nihilism that as now overwhelmed our civilization and much of the world. He is also the co-author of books of "Zombies in Western Culture A 21st Century Crisis" and a 4-part books series "Mentoring the Machines" which tackles our future in the brave new world of artificial intelligence.     Blake Horowitz is one of Chicago's leading civil rights trial lawyers with over 30 years of experience in Federal and state courts. He has prosecuted over 400 federal claims and brought over 30 high profile cases to trial. One notable victory was the $28 million verdict against the City of Chicago for police misconduct -- the largest case of its in midwestern states.  Other large successes include battling municipal corruption, putting an end to racial profiling in a county sheriff department and other cases involving police abuse. Blake is currently one of three lead attorneys in the organization The GeoFight, along with Tom Renz who listeners may recall led the charge in the legal fight against the government's pandemic mandates. The GeoFight is building the largest coordinated legal action against geoengineering and unauthorized atmospheric programs.  He is also the principal at the Blake Horowitz Law Firm in Chicago, and received in JD degree from the Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology.     Prof. Paul Goddard is a retired medical doctor, professor and radiologist. He is an expert in magnetic resonance imaging or MRI and was a past president of the British Magnetic Resonance Radiologists Association. For over two decades Dr. Goddard has been critiquing and battling -- in his words -- the managerial dictatorship that has overtaken academia and the British healthcare system. Before retiring he was a whistleblower on the corruption of the UK's department of Health's hospital rankings.  Based on his own investigative research, he predicted in 2017 a forthcoming pandemic of a novel coronavirus strain. At the outset of the Covid-19 in 2020, he warned the SARS virus originated in the Wuhan laboratory in China and attributed it to gain of function research. Dr. Goddard has published four books including "Pandemic", and more recently the "Death of Science" and "Profiteering from Doom: Just Follow the Money" along with British oncologist Dr. Angus Dalgleish who listeners may have heard interviewed on this program.

    Dr. James Lyons-Weiler is the CEO and Director of The Institute for Pure and Applied Knowledge, which performs research in the public interest aimed at finding ways to reduce human suffering using funds donated from the public .     Our guest Colonel Douglas MacGregor is a retired US Army colonel. He has had a distinguished military career having held important operational roles during the Gulf War and was a top strategic planner for General Wesley Clark as NATO's commander during the invasion of Yugoslavia. More recently Col. Macgregor has been the president and CEO of The National Conversation -- a non profit organization for "the politically homeless" with a mission to restore civic dialogue in America that challenges the duopoly ruling Washington and hopefully to lead to a new and viable political party.   Since retiring Col Macgregor has been an author, consultant and media commentator who appears regularly on Judge Napolitano's Judging Freedom and Dialogue Works.  Colonel MacGregor has written several books on military strategy and the history of warfare. He is a graduate of US military academy at West Point and later received a doctorate in international relations from the University of Virginia.
