“Rise, and Fight Again”

The hits have just kept on coming! (And not in a good way.) For anyone who cares and/or is curious why CJ has been mostly incommunicado the past 2 months (other than angrily ranting against the insanity of current events on Twitter): In this special DHP episode he gives an update on the most recent trials & tribulations he & his family have been through, including (but not limited to) his wife being hospitalized twice, another major death in the family, & finally, CJ himself being hospitalized for almost a full week while being the sickest & in the worst pain he’s ever had in his entire life. (Fun times!) On the brighter side, the redemption in the third act is that CJ is still alive, still sober, & is (once again) getting back up to keep on fighting the good fight, so look for more Dangerous History coming your way as long as (knock on wood!) he can get a little bit of a respite from the near-constant dumpster-fires! Ep. 0281: “The Best-Planned Mistake”: The Israeli Attack on the USS Liberty

CJ is back with a beast of a DHP episode that he’s been brewing laboriously for over a month, if not two. On June 8th, 1967, during the Six Day War, the USS Liberty, a virtually unarmed signals intelligence ship operating off the coast of Egypt, was attacked by Israeli planes & torpedo boats. 34 men were killed, 171 were wounded, & the ship was nearly sunk before the attack was finally called off. The Israelis claimed it was a tragic case of mistaken identity, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, and LBJ, America’s first “Israel-First” President, let them get away with it, & even helped cover it all up. I heard CJ first on Tom Woods’ show. I’m making my way through the Wilson history. I already had read he was a horrible president but I am Learning so much more about him and the political climate at the time. I also like it when CJ goes into different political thought and gives real examples of who held the belief and how it impacted history. I am telling my grown kids and my friends. I look forward to hearing more. CJ is a great researcher and conveys his learning as only a well honed teacher can.

Host is very smart, very well read and generally tells good stories. He is a bit too libertarian at times but very rarely does that get in the way of his work.
