Using resistance bands when squatting
Hi guys, great podcast. I have listened to this podcast in the morning on days that I was not motivated to workout, just by listening my perspective will change and I will be excited to workout that day. I did insta message this question to you but I will also post it here:
What is your opinion on using resistance bands while squatting? I have flat feet so I naturally pronate, I would use the band as a reminder to force my knees out and away. But someone told me it was bad because you are training your muscles to be reliant on that “help”.
By the way, I am 23 and I played soccer at the DII level in college. I have been working out since I was 13 years old (weight lifting) and naturally have strong legs — not sure if that makes a difference for answering this question.
Amazing fitness advice, but SO much more!
I have been a diehard listener for at least 4 years. I began listening because of my love of fitness, but I have continued listening because these four men are straight up, well spoken, entertaining, and hilarious. It’s one of the best parts of my day to hear Sal, Adam and Justin’s take in on social and political issues, current events in their lives and fitness trends. They speak their mind with an amazing ability to be honest but not insulting. It is obvious that they are educated, love what they do, and also truly respect each other. I have been lucky enough to have my QUAH answered on the show a few years back which was such a cool experience. This show is a must in my daily routine!! If you want a show that keeps you up to date on interesting events, studies and fitness information but without the super heavy and negative feel of most daily news shows, this one is perfect for you.
