    Arguably the most well-known craft brewery in Canada, Montreal's Messorem Bracitorium have absolutely dominated the global landscape over the past seven years. Co-Founder and Graphic Designer Marc-André Filion jumped back on the pod for the first time in over two years to chat with Cee and Nate on our longest podcast of all time, spanning over 6 hours!! This broke the Third Moon record of just over 5 hours that held for 2.5 years - incredible.     One of our big goals for 2026 and 2027 is to expand the pod to breweries in regions that we haven't typically covered, and this one is certainly a first. Hailing from Whitehorse in The Yukon in North Western Canada, Woodcutter's Brewing has been doing some super unique stuff for the last six years and change. Founder and Head Brewer Scott Shailer sat down with Cee to chat about their "only brew it once" approach to their beers, his eclectic career that took him to Ottawa, Gatineau and Whitehorse, what a hop rocket is and how they use it to maximize efficiency from their hop rate, how he works with the nearby Alaskan breweries and their close relationship, why they're Canada's Smallest Music Venue, their 8-seat taproom and the Woodcutter's Blanket next door, what the Yukon scene is like and the palate of the region, how close the Whitehorse breweries are, and why he'll never distribute his beers.     One of the most legendary and impactful Ontario breweries for us from around the time the podcast began is Toronto's Burdock Brewery, and it's kinda wild this is only their first appearance. Co-Founder Matthew Park and Head Brewer John Jenkinson joined Cee and Nate to talk through both of their histories in beer (including John's first ever Head Brewer job and Burdock's Edinburgh roots), why they decided to focus mostly on Lagers and Saisons, how their wine beer hybrid obsession began and their partnership with Pearl Morissette winery in Niagara (and the BUMO series), the process of making a beer wine hybrid, their move into 8oz Pilsner cans and LCBO acceptance, their choices on packaging and why they're betting on 8oz cans, the importance of being a gateway to new craft beer drinkers, why they opened their Kensington location and the story of their extremely unique steakhouse taproom next door, how their dedication to The Band came about, and why they named their flagship IPA "Ducks".     Alberta is one Canadian craft beer scene that we haven't tapped into enough, so we're fixing that right now - we were stoked to sit down with one of the most hyped breweries in Calgary. Production Manager and Head Brewer Donovan Fast leads the liquid for Eighty-Eight Brewing Co., and he joined Cee and Nate to chat about his international craft brewing career that took him from Manitoba to Germany to Alberta, what he learned from the classic German brewers, how he landed the Head Brewer job before Eighty-Eight opened (and has been the sole Head Brewer in their history), how the Calgary craft beer scene has grown over the years, how Eighty-Eight went from a Belgian-style brewery to a more modern, IPA-focused brewery and COVID's effect on that decision, the slew of awards they've won, their core-to-seasonal beer release strategy, his thoughts on Canada-wide distribution and Eighty-Eight's approach, their interprovincial collaborations, how their eighth anniversary went, and the future of the brewery.     One of the newest breweries in Ontario (at the time of recording) is Prince Edward County's Aurum. Meaning "gold" in Latin, their slogan "Drink Gold" is incredibly appropriate for a brewery that focuses mostly on German and Czech-style Lagers and Ales. Co-Founder and Head Brewer Prat joined Cee and Nate to chat about his eclectic beer history - from India to Ontario, how he met his Co-Founder Joe and how they came across the space that turned into Aurum, why they chose the County and why they focus on the styles that they do, Prat's experiences in Germany and the Czech Republic that shaped what he brews, the beauty of LUKR taps and educating the public about mlíko pours, the drinking preferences of their locals in the County, how the fellow breweries in PEC have embraced them and collaborated with them, and their approach to distribution.     Episode #241: Where The F**k Have We Been? | Adjunct Series

    It feels like almost every year we end up taking some sort of a short pause over the summer for obvious reasons, but in 2026, it was a little longer than usual. Both Cee and Nate were off galavanting across the globe, so we figured the best way to ease back into the pod was to run through all the shenanigans they got up to. Here's some teasers to get you going: Nate spent time in glorious Mexico soaking up the few beer options available, along with sampling a much wider variety of fire in Rimouski and Saint-Flavie in Quebec. Cee, on the other hand, was going nuts in places like California, England, Scotland, Wales, Germany, Thailand, Australia, France and Italy. The fellas told some stories from their travels and covered the beers they got into, along with some obligatory coffee talk. They got into a gang of beers that each represented places they went.     With their Cream Ale outselling all of the biggest beers in the LCBO by around 3-4x in the area, Anderson Craft Ales seem to have the unofficial craft beer of London, ON on their hands. Founder Gavin Anderson jumped back on the pod after three and a half years to chat about what's been happening since we last spoke, their upcoming 10th anniversary and some of the craziest beers they've ever done (including glizzy, roast chicken and pizza beers), all of the Anderson classics that they're bringing back from the archives for the anniversary, the evolution of their seasonal beers, why they continue to stick with short cans vs tall cans, why their town and neighbourhood is so important to them, the return of the Black IPA, Gavin's personal IPA renaissance, why they're cool with selling mixed packs of beers versus forced four or six-packs, and the rise of the Cream Ale.
