    In this episode, we explore the power of purposeful play in education. Although we're talking about AI tools, we didn't spend a lot of time talking about the mundanity and what other sources are talking about: the how to, which tool does what thing. Really, we give guidance for school leaders about how to think beyond the boxes and the accountability systems that are currently set up to start to reimagine what learning can be  in schools and beyond, and the ways in which generative AI tools might play a role in that.

In 2018, the school was named National STEM School of the year. In 2012, Thiessen became Principal of Pinebrook Elementary in Aldie, VA, where they have become a Personalized Learning School.

Great Podcast

This is one of the first principal podcast I listened to as an educational leader. Jethro always has great advice and brings on amazing leaders in education. I highly recommend this podcast!

So helpful

I am actually a teacher and have hopes to be an AP at some point when it works out in my personal life. I believe strongly in professional development and have really enjoyed listening. I especially find the coaching sessions between Jethro and Eric useful as I gain so much insight into the realities of being a new principal and then hearing and learning experienced insights. The interviews are also interesting. I really can tell that you value what you do and I am furiously taking notes as I listen.
