David opened his Ecclesiastes 3 sermon by telling the congregation that God is really a problem. It was intentional. It’s also the only reasonable way to start a sermon on the most honest, uncomfortable book in the Bible. Horace wrote Carpe Diem around 60 BC. Most people quote the first part. The full phrase is: seize the day, and put no trust in tomorrow. That’s Ecclesiastes 9. What Does the Bible Say About Christian Unity?
