Why Relationships Are Never 50/50, the App We All Need, Christmas Traditions & More (5th Thing)
Is it annoying when someone says they're giving 110%? Kat can't stand when people say that, but it doesn't bother Amy. They agree to disagree on this topic, but they both agree that Brene Brown gets it right when she says that in a relationship, it’s never 50/50. Percentage talk came up because of today's quote: “On the days you have only 40%, and you give 40%. You gave 100%.” – Jim Kwik
Back to Brene Brown and relationships...some days one partner may only have 20%, and the other might pick up the slack. Or maybe you and your partner have a combined 40%- and if so, that’s ok! Amy and Kat remind us that we can line up activities that meet you where you are that week. You gave 100%.” – Jim Kwik yourselves! Amy also shares a listener tip for a useful app she found called ‘Just Watch’. It’s a helpful resource to find where your favorite tv shows are playing, so you can find which streaming app you need! Kat and Amy discuss sharing passwords with significant others, and their favorite traditions around the holidays! What foods they like to make and what Christmas movies they like to watch! Amy and Kat both recommend following @Peaceful_barb if you're not already. She's great! Have the day you need to have!!

Loving For No Reason, Where Jay Shetty Got It Wrong, Amy's Weird Rash & More (5th Thing)
Is watching TV together the lowest form of intimacy? Amy & Kat break down a comment made by Jay Shetty about TV being the lowest form of intimacy for couples. Kat reminds us that this blanket statement has the potential to make people feel shame or question what is working for them in their relationship. Depending on what you both enjoy, tv watching might be a great way for you to connect with your significant other! When an expert shares something like this, approach it like an idea, not a fact. Kat shares that she loves watching shows and also listening to audiobooks with her fiancé while they are on a walk together. They might not be talking in those moments, but they are still enjoying something together and it leads to conversations afterwards. Amy and Kat also chat about some recent health scares they’ve both had, including Amy’s rash on her temples, and Kat’s confession of having 11 cavities after not going to the dentist for 5 years! PSA: Flossing is important! Don’t skip it!
Today’s Quote is from a sign in someone’s front yard: “I love you. You are probably thinking you don’t even know me, but if people can hate for no reason, I can love for no reason.” Kat is considering putting a little sign outside of her therapy practice. Amy suggested putting up a therapy joke: "Why did Waldo go to therapy? To find himself!"Have the day you need to have!!

The Truth About Your Fat - Part 2 (Outweigh)
OUTWEIGH: In Part 2 of this series, Leanne is back to discuss the often-misunderstood topic of body fat and its relationship with fascia. She emphasizes the importance of understanding and appreciating fat, as it plays a crucial role in the body's functions and should not be stigmatized.
She also delves into the science behind fat and fascia, breaking it down very simply, but also highlighting how they are not just passive tissues but play active roles in metabolism, hormonal regulation, and more. She also walks you through how fascia, a connective tissue, can interact with fat, affecting issues such as fat storage and fat loss.
Leanne's goal is to empower you to take care of your body (and this includes your fat and fascia), and to help you unravel the mysteries of body fat and fascia to help you improve your overall well-being and relationship with your body.

Customer Reviews
Love you Amy!
Dont let the haters get you down! Your amazing!
That “lunchbox fan” sounded like lunchbox himself. And if it wasn’t, he talks just like him. All of those run-on sentences, not making sense, making up lies, etc. people like that have problems in their own life and project it on others because they’re jealous. And your podcast has nothing to do with the show.
As far as the show goes, you’re doing a great job. I love your guests and conversations. Keep up the great work. I can’t wait to hear what’s next.
Enneagram 8
I love you, but Haley is too much and has gone waaay overboard about actual children doing a stupid prank. This literally happened at my house all growing up, as my mother was a teacher. Now she is blowing it entirely out of proportion and blasting these children all over the internet— then gets upset when fellow students respond to her in the same manner. Why are we bullying young teenagers instead of actually being reasonable and coming to a resolution? I’m sure neither of you would want a mistake your children make online for the world to see or on a podcast for public consumption. Their parents would probably appreciate that same decency and grace. Can we please stick to kind, uplifting podcasts that are what we’ve all come to know and love you for?

Was just talking to my hubby about the evolution of Amy…have listened from the beginning (20 years ago)…such an awesome heart. And I do believe her heart is still genuine but there is more confusion about who she is with the message her life has sent in the past 7 or 8 years. Her podcast content reflects this.
