Enlightening

Very helpful explanations of not so obvious causes and effects of trauma. I really appreciated the explanation that just being invalidated as a child could contribute to trauma response. It’s the first time I really heard that and it felt true for me.
I also appreciated the discussion of how your emotional health causes physical pain and conditions like migraines and chronic pain. I spent several years in the best medical system in the USA getting worked up for mysterious chronic pain and none of those experts ever mentioned an association to stress or mental health, which I think is a huge factor and something that if I knew before, I wouldn’t have gone through unnecessary and expensive medical procedures and focused more on my emotions and trauma; Thank you for talking about that!!!

Beautiful souls.

This podcast showed up in my life at THE perfect moment(I was late to the party and didn’t find it until now and obviously they’re 2 seasons in). I found myself looking for any kind of content on trauma that I could with the ORIGINAL intent to understand better and offer support to my fiancé who struggles with trauma from her past, which I now know what I was seeking was to be able to offer a safe space of Co-regulation. Upon listening to this podcast, and as I continue to, I am recognizing that its content is very applicable to me as well. It has helped me make the connection of the mind and body working in conjunction with one another, whereas, I was very ignorant in my thinking that they didn’t and that when people said “mind, body, and spirit” they just wanted to ‘sound cool’ or ‘seem spiritual’ . The way that these beautiful souls explain things and conceptualize and help the listener visualize the reality of what they are talking about is absolutely incredible. While there is so much more that I could put, I just want to encourage anyone considering this podcast to just give it a chance and find out for yourself. This podcast has reinvigorated my desire to discover myself, and now, my body too! Thank you, from the deepest part of my heart and soul, thank you.
