Corey Pickett

As a certified life coach with over 2,500 hours of coaching experience, I'm deeply passionate about helping LDS moms lose weight and finally feel at home in their bodies. As a mother of three in the Church, I know all too well the struggle of gaining weight through pregnancy, managing a household, and trying to cope with the unique pressures of Latter-day Saint culture. If you've ever felt like the best part of your day was an extra-large Dirty Diet Coke and a cookie, I get it. I've been there too. And if that made you smile or nod your head, this podcast is for you. My goal here is simple: to give you the tools and frameworks you've been searching for to change your relationship with food for good—so diets can become a thing of the past. On this podcast, I help you rebuild trust in yourself, so you can make choices from confidence and empowerment instead of shame and guilt. This is a space where we talk honestly about emotional eating, mindset, motherhood, and what it really takes to feel strong, calm, and in control around food—without rules, restriction, or starting over every Monday. So come have a listen, and start building a better relationship with yourself, your body, and your role as a mother in the church. Want more of this work? To-Do List Overwhelm

If your to-do list feels like it's running your life… this episode is for you. So many moms are walking around with a constant mental load of everything they should be doing—and it's exhausting. And when that overwhelm builds? It makes total sense that you end up reaching for food just to get a little relief. But the problem isn't you. It's the way you're managing your time and tasks. In today's episode, I'm introducing you to a simple tool called Monday Hour One—a game-changing way to take everything off your plate (mentally) and actually create a plan that works. This is how you stop spinning in overwhelm… and start following through. What You'll Learn: Why traditional to-do lists actually increase overwhelm How decision fatigue keeps you stuck and reaching for food The connection between mental overload and emotional eating What Monday Hour One is and how it works How to assign your tasks a "home" in your week so they actually get done Why planning ahead reduces stress, guilt, and last-minute chaos Key Takeaway: You don't need more discipline. You need a better system. When you decide ahead of time when things are getting done, your brain can finally relax—and that alone will reduce the urge to cope with food. Try This: Set aside one hour (it doesn't have to be Monday) and: Write down everything that's been living in your brain Decide what actually matters this week Assign each task to a specific day (and ideally time) Let the rest go Watch how much lighter you feel when your brain isn't carrying it all anymore. Reminder: Overwhelm isn't a sign you're failing. It's a sign you need support and a better plan. And that's exactly what we're building here. If This Helped You: Share this episode with a friend who feels buried under her to-do list—and let's help more moms feel calmer, more in control, and free around food.

The Missing Piece to Weight Loss? Metabolic Health + The Feel Great System with Shannon Hatch

What if weight loss didn't have to feel so hard… because your body was actually working with you instead of against you? In today's episode, I'm joined by my friend and colleague, Shannon Hatch—coach and nurse—to talk about something that is changing the game for so many women: metabolic health. We're diving into why so many women feel stuck despite doing "all the right things," and how supporting your body through simple shifts like intermittent fasting and increasing fiber can make a huge difference. We also introduce something called the Feel Great System—a simple, sustainable approach that's helping women feel better in their bodies, reduce cravings, and actually start seeing results without obsessing over food. If you've been feeling frustrated or like nothing is working anymore, this conversation might open up a completely new way of looking at your health. Shannon brings both her medical background and coaching experience to break down the why behind all of this—what's happening in your body, why it matters, and how you can start supporting it in a way that feels doable. About Shannon: Shannon Hatch is a nurse and coach who is passionate about helping women improve their health in a realistic, sustainable way. She combines her clinical knowledge with practical tools to help women fuel their bodies, balance their blood sugar, and feel their best. You can connect with her on Instagram at @shannonhatchcoaching, where she shares simple, actionable tips. She also offers free resources, including the Perfect Plate, which teaches you how to build meals with the right balance of fiber, protein, and fat to support your metabolism and keep you feeling satisfied, as well as a fasting calendar for both women and men so you can work with your hormones instead of against them.
