I want to like this podcast more than I do. The discussions can be interesting, but the hosts themselves often sound disinterested, ignoring their cohost’s points or sometimes audibly yawning into the mic, and iffy sound quality can make it hard to hear. It’s tough to listen to long conversations when there is no flow, no matter how interesting the people talking are.

The leveling and reverb could use some adjustment, but otherwise this is a great presentation of actual nuanced commentary without mindless fawning access-baby levels of “epic sauce” or pandering hate scam campaigning.
I really enjoy hearing their perspectives almost as much as I enjoy reading their writing.
Their “A Gun, Death” Red Dead podcasts on Patreon have been great as well.

I just discovered this podcast and really appreciate the thoughtfulness of the discussions. Many gaming podcasts exist, but few do any smart commentary. This is one.
