David and Orchid Jones (Retired City of Tucson Communications, PCSO Forensic Technician)

It was my honor to host this couple who agreed to be my very first dispatchers on the show. David and Orchid had extraordinary stories that led them to public safety,  and the fact they are still together after all these years is pretty exceptional as well. I know you will get a kick out of their stories and what it takes to be the voices behind the thin, gold line.

Please show them some love, turn it up and enjoy the show.

Greg Bustamante (Retired Drexel Heights Fire, US Marine)

Greg Bustamante is a Tucson native, Rincon HS graduate who didn't know what he wanted to do in life, so he joined the toughest branch of the military...The Marines. Once he fulfilled his duty, he came home and began working in local hospitals until he finally realized that he wanted to become a Firefighter/EMT.

A brief stint in Three Points Fire paved the way to move to a larger agency, Drexel Heights Fire. I was intrigued by his experience where his opportunity to be a jack of all trades hyped him grow up fast in his career. Tune in, show him a bunch of love and enjoy the episode.

Paul Dietzel Rides again (Retired Pima County Sheriff Deputy)

All new stories, all new good times...It's Paul Y'all!

He's been here before , and much like Joe Knipp, if you listen to the show regularly it tends to remind you of some of your own experiences that you might have forgotten. I'll tell you I appreciate Paul because he is one of my faithful listeners and I know I can count on him for live, real time feedback on weekly episodes. like Lillian George, Joe Knipp, and Jeremy Olsen to name a few.

I hope you enjoy this one, along with the others...turn it up!

Joe Knipp Retired Pima county Sheriff Sergeant, current San Diego PD Motor (I've lost count but think this is episode 5.5???) jk

Joe is back and I must say that I'm a bit sad, feeling a sense of loss for the show because he FINALLY ran out of stories to tell! That means I'll have to wait until he retires again to hear his "San Diego Chronicles!"

AS always, this episode was fun and I'm happy that I get to share yet one more super cool friend with the best Squad of folks out there...buckle up, here's Joe.

Timmy Gilder (Retired Tucson Police Lieutenant, SWAT, Customs, Air Force)

Timmy had to come back because there wasn't enough time to cover his career the first time he was in the hot seat... We had a great time, shared a few bourbons and put a nice little bow on his career and episode. Don't miss it, turn it up and enjoy...

Chester "Chet" Henderson (Retired Navy Seal)

Chester "Chet" Henderson (Retired Navy Seal)

Chet was introduced to me by his wife, Meghan Henderson-Greene, who used to be a Detective at the Tucson Police Department. He's a Canyon Del Oro HS grad, and University of Arizona Grad. He played baseball through his college Sophomore year but decided to step away. He said this was the first time he ever "Quit" anything and it didn't sit well with him. After graduating, he joined the Navy to become a Navy Seal...

Boot camp, BUDs and a lot of training later, he accomplished his dream and the stories take off from there. I appreciate his service to our country, I appreciate his willingness to come on the show and I'm excited for you all to get to know him...

Excellent, fascinating and interesting

Brian has done a great job corralling some of the most interesting law enforcement characters. These professionals were made comfortable dropping their collective ‘walls of protection’ and truly expound upon their experiences, personal feelings, fears, foibles and fascinating professional outcomes while “doing the job” throughout their careers. For those who are, have been or even interested in becoming law enforcement, I highly recommend listening to this podcast! I was honored to have been the first interviewed and really have since been humbled by the experiences of the many officers and first-responders who followed. Good job, Brian!

Awesome podcast with real stories!

This is a great show. Every officer, deputy, etc, has different stories to share, but one thing that’s common between them all is the brotherhood they share as law enforcement officers. There are funny, sad, & real human stories that come from the men & women who have protected & served their communities.
