Dear Runner Bod is a podcast hosted by anti-diet running dietitian & body image coach, Serena Marie RD. Dear Runner Bod’s mission is to empower females to embrace their body as a runner’s body no matter their level of fitness, shape or size. Appetite zapped in the heat or after a workout?
It has been so hot where I live!! Why does our appetite get suppressed or reduced while training? This is really common when we are training, especially in hot weather. What do we do about it? Do we need to worry or care about it? I talk about what is happening in your body that is making your appetite is suppressed or reduced. I give you tips on how to get out of the fight or flight mode and into rest and digest mode.

Is No Period No Problem? with Maddi Osburn RD
I am talking with Maddi who is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. She is the owner of Flexible Nutrition, a group nutrition private practice, where she works one on one with adolescent/adult athletes of all levels to learn how to fuel their sport for optimal performance and to overcome eating disorders/disordered eating.
We are talking about hypothalamic amenorrhea (HA). Maddi shares what is, what causes it and how to recognize if you have it. She also busts some myths around eating disorders with HA. Maddi shares her story with HA, disordered eating and recovery. She also talks about what happens to your body if you are not having a period, rest days and how your body is still working on those days, how she helps athletes in recovery from eating disorders and much more!

Not just good...real and honest
I love this show because it isn't just full of great information for runners...it's real and honest too. The "body shaming" episode did it for me. Having dealt with this a lot, it was great to hear someone speak so openly about it.
Women are athletes and it’s awesome
I think what’s amazing about Serena is that she really cares about getting her message out to women that it’s not only great but *important* to feul the athlete you are! She is so open and responsive that you that it makes it so easy to interact with and learn from her. Her honesty and vulnerability make it so easy to take her advice and ideas to heart. She helped me move from an underfeuled - and injured - runner to one who is fed and injury free. I can’t recommend Serena more and this podcast is like free liquid running gold! 🏃🏻♀️💜
