Detective Trapp
Anaheim investigator Julissa Trapp is not like other detectives. She’s the only woman on the homicide squad, and a skilled chameleon: undercover cop in vice stings, crime-scene commander, patient confidante of killers. A master interrogator, she invokes her personal experience – and deepest griefs – as a tool to elicit confessions. When a young woman’s body is found at a trash-sorting plant, Trapp learns the murder may be linked to the disappearance of three other women in nearby Santa Ana. Trapp embarks on a dark journey that brings her face to face with a man who takes “a little piece of her soul.” The series is about a singular detective on a relentless, sometimes lonely quest for answers. From the Los Angeles Times and Wondery, “Detective Trapp” is a new story from Christopher Goffard, the writer and host of “Dirty John.”

I’m in love with Detective Trapp’s story and demeanor! She is the definition of a victim’s advocate and a lioness in the interrogation room! Keep up the great work! This is one of the best podcasts I’ve had the opportunity to listen to!

Great show, I didn’t want it to end. It was too short.
Mansplaination of a WAAAAY TOOO Drawn Out Story
12/21/2022
I can’t tell what year this was made, but the story really should have been told by a woman. This narrator is all over the place with random story bits about the detectives life. TMI about the detective trying to get pregnant and other random bits about the detectives struggle as a female. It seems like the storyteller couldn’t decide if the story was about how hard it is to be a female detective, or the missing women the detective is tracking down. The result is that the narrative goes everywhere at once, and every episode is padded by tons of random detective background. And several women’s stories are mansplained by some dude. The narrator is a great storyteller, but this was way too padded and the wrong story for them.
